2/9/17 -

Turner is going to be hurt for 1-2 weeks...

The Cavs offer a very nice player in J.J Hickson and Delk for Jefferson and Tiggs. I turn them down.

We host the Hornets in the 2nd game of a back-to-back.

They beat us 106-90.

Scott led us with 26 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks.

Mayo with 12 points, 8 boards, and 3 assists.

Turner with 6 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists. He shot 3 of 11.

Tiggs with 12 points and 7 assists.

We are now 43-10.

2/11/17 -

We host the Thunder who are 31-21 with a rating of 84 currently...

I get about a half-dozen more trade offers for Jefferson and Scott... I turn them all down.

The Thunder beat us 101-98 behind 34 points from Durant and 26 points along with 8 assists from Westbrook.

Turner led us with 19 points, 2 boards, and 1 assist.

Kelley with 16 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks.

Mayo with 16 points, 10 boards, 5 assists, and 2 blocks.

Jefferson with 11 points, 10 boards, and 3 blocks.

Scott with 11 points, 11 boards, and 4 blocks.

Our next game is hosting the Clippers. They are 31-22 with a rating of 94..

After that, we only have 1 more game before the All-Star Break..

The Wolves trade Juan Cardona (PF 6'10 250, 25 years old, rated 78 overall) and Stephen Stafford (PG 6'5 185, 25 years old, rated 68 overall) to the Spurs for Felix De La Rosa (SG 6'5 220, 80 overall) and Carlos Morales (SF 6'7 225, 25 year old, rated 63 overall.)

A good trade for both sides that fills a need.

Chris Bosh is demanding a trade from the Wolves. He is 32 and his skills are declining a bit, but he is still a 20 ppg guy. If I can get him on the cheap, it would be hard to pass up...

I put some feelers out for Bosh, but they are demanding too much. They want either Scott or Jefferson in a straight up or a package of Tiggs and Kelley. I'm not willing to give up any of those...

A horrible start down 9-0 as Turner has missed his first 4 shots...

We are down 17-7 with 5 minutes to go in the 1st. Playing terrible team basketball on both ends.

A 10-2 run fueled by Mayo has us right back in it.

58 seconds left.. Scott gets a 2nd foul on Bynum. We are down 23-20.

We are down 25-21 at the end of 1.

Kelley is keeping us in it when all of our other players are cold. We are down 42-32.

We get down 50-38, but a strong run by Mayo and the team gets us back into it before the half.

At halftime, we are down 56-49. Mayo with 17 points. Simon Reid with 23 as Turner is playing bad on both ends of the court.

10 minutes left in the 3rd as Scott draws a 4th foul on Bynum. We are down 60-53.

After a bad 1st half, Turner has come alive, but Mayo has cooled off. We are down by 16 at one point, but at the end of 3, we are down 82-70.

C: Dwight Howards is 31 but still has a few years left of high level play. He is rated 91 overall.

SG James Harden is in his prime. A dynamic scorer who has improved his outside shot over the years. He is 27. He is rated 90 overall. He is averaging 18 ppg.

PG Ty Lawson is 5'11 195 but is very dynamic handling the ball. He's rated 88 overall. He averaged 17 ppg and 9.8 apg.

PF Trevor Booker is 6'7 240 and only rated 75. A mismatch for us to exploit. He averaged 9 ppg and 7 rpg.

SG/SF Marcus Thornton starts on the wing. He is 6'4 205 and rated 75 overall. Another mismatch. I will isolate Mayo on him.

PF Ray Mills leads their bench. He is 6'9 253 and is rated 67 in his 2nd year in the league. He is a good rebounder who averaged 5 ppg and 6 rpg this year.

PG/SG Gregory Goodiwin is 6'1 193 and is rated 64 overall. He is a decent shooter. He averaged 4 ppg and 1 apg.

Their bench gets even thinner after that. Another strength for us.

Detroit lost C Andrew Bynum to a torn ACL earlier in the playoffs so their main weapons are Randolph and Wall:

John Wall is 26 years old and is the best PG in the league. Rated 99 overall, he excels in every facet of the game. He averaged 27.5 ppg, 8.5 apg, and 5.5 rpg this year.

PF/C Anthony Randolph is 27 years old and is one of the top players at his position. Rated 91 overall. He has a great inside game but can hit the outside shot. He is averaging 20 ppg and 10.6 rpg this year despite playing alongside Bynum most of the year..

SG Simon Reid has a strained achilles that he is playing through but he will be at 50-60% for this series. When healthy, he is an explosive scorer who is rated 82 overall. He averaged 16.3 ppg and 4 apg.

PF Brandan Wright is slowed down by Plantar Fascitis. When he is healthy, he is their best big man off the bench. However, he is now starting at PF with the injury to Bynum. Normally he is rated 78 overall, but he is at 50-60% this series.

SF Reggie Warrick is forced to start at SF. He is the 24th pick in this last draft. He is 6'9 205 and is rated 62 overall. He is averaging 4.5 ppg in 25 mpg.

Their bench is very thin due to the injuries. Jordan Dixon is their best bench player. He is a 6'1 215 pound PG/SG who is rated 73 overall. He is averaging 5 ppg.

SG Ron Harvey is their next best player. He is a 6'3 220 pound SG who is rated 60 overall. He is averaging 2 ppg.
