Hattrick: Squirrel of the Week Award
I just made my weekly pull from youth squad. It is the first week the squad has made it to inadequate status.
The Squirrel Award Winning Pull is: 17 yr old Passable Keeper who starts off in Passable form. Value is 215k, already the highest value on the team. How much is he worth, on transfer? My other keeper is passable and only 23 yrs old.

Sell the 23 year old...and keep the youngster...you can prolly get $120-150 000 for the 23 YO.

Do people ever train keeper, or just upgrade when money is available to buy a better one?

Very few people train Keepers. But of course by doing that you can only train 2 Keepers at a time. However, they do train faster than position players.

OK, hattrickers in general seem to have this thing about saying "I train defense" or "I train wingers." Is there some inherant reason why most don't rotate their training regimine? Is it just a strategic decision? (Train one thing, buy everything else) Or are their serious drawbacks to rotating the training?

Well, if you continue training a particular position for an extended amount of time, he obviously gets more training. And the more training they get, the higher there value is, and the higher your profit is.

i always train playmaking because i was told midfield is the key to the game, and every game, in my ratings, my midfield is poor or wretched or some nasty rating. My starters are almost all passable, and i can't EVEN afford solid players on transfer.

I rotate training from playmaking, passing and stamina. Passing and playmaking 4 weeks at a time and stamina for 2 weeks. I think they should offer a small increase in something else like passing or something when you train scoring and goalkeeping.

I train forwards...sell forwards, and buy playmakers. I also sell Frog legs, Frog Repellant, and Jerome Bettis Bobble Head dolls.
