College Football Historic Replay - Ladder System

Well, after more than a year of meaning to do this, I finally took some time out of my day to make a program that sims the games for you using the Quick Play Football system. It saves me a ton of time.

Here's the set up.

12 teams to each Conference. Everyone plays each other once. I have 5 Conferences (60 teams).

Platinum Conference - This is the top conference
Gold Conference
Silver Conference
Bronze Conference A
Bronze Conference B

Promotion/Relegation

The bottom two teams in the Platinum Conference get relgated to the Gold Conference.

The top two teams in the Gold Conference get promoted to Platinum
The bottom two teams in Gold get releated to Silver
The top two teams in Silver get promoted to Gold.

The top team in Bronze A plays the second place team in Bronze B, winner promotes to Silver.
The top team in Bronze B plays the second place team in Bronze A, winner promotes to Silver.

The bottom two teams in Silver relegate to the Bronze conferences, which ones will be random/dependant on which teams promote.

Every team that finishes 1st in their conference will receive a 1 point bonus to all attributes for the following season.

Tournaments

Winners of each tournament will receive a 1 point bonus to each team attribute for the following season.

The Bronze Cup

This is for teams in the two Bronze Conferences. The top 8 from each conference, with the two silver relegated teams taking the place of the two promoted teams, will compete in a 16 team, single elimination tournament, and will be seeded based on record.

The Championship Cup

This is the big tournament, with every team entering. The 24 Bronze teams, and the bottom 8 Silver teams get randomly placed into a 32 team tournament. They will play it out for 3 rounds, bring it down to 4 teams.

Those 4 teams then randomly get placed in a tourney with the other 28 teams, making it 32 teams. The top 8 teams in Platinum get seeded, the rest are pl;aced randomly.

Advancement to Next Season

If a team appears on the list of teams for the year, I will use those attributes and apply any bonuses they may have gotten (Bonuses only last for 1 season)

If a team does not appear on the list, each attribute has a 50% chance of going down 1 point, 25% chance of going up 1 point and 25% chance of staying the same.
