Another day Danny checked in without a vote. Even if he put up a holder vote I would have felt better.

I did a re-read. Here's some stuff that stood out.

The use of "me" makes it look like Jackal is thinking more about himsef. It sounds like something a lone scum might say, IMO, which doesn't even fit in the rules.

What is a BullMoose special?

Chief's theories generally make a lot of sense.

At the end of Day 1, JAG could have either tried to bus mau or tried to save him. Since he did neither, I'm fairly comfortable saying they probably aren't on a scum team.

Weird the the guy who's never seen Back to the Future was thinking about this. Could mean he was talking about it with other people (aka scummates) over pm.

That's an interesting point, font (the last one), although to me that whole line of thinking is weird, as no way would George and Marty be considered lovers in the classic sense. George and Marty's mom, Marty and Jennifer, maybe even Marty and his mom, but George and Marty when they were close to the same age were at best awkward friends.

Just wanted to say that I actually pointed that out.

From my read I haven't seen much today to help me out one way or another, and haven't had any time to look back. Still dealing wtih the kids and bedtime and then either trying to work or falling asleep, I won't be on much.

Font, Bull Moose Special was a mod-created event in one of Abe's games that was triggered by unknown (to the players) conditions. So my idea was that the time jumps may just be something that's baked into the game, or in control of EF essentially.

And yeah, Font, I'm perfectly okay iwth us losing a couple of vanillas on the first day. Chance of lynching a wolf are never that great, and mostly I worry about lynching a roled player early, which seems to happen a lot, especially in games with a lot of quiet players. The fact that the wolves didn't find one either is a good deal.

I assume that Murray is ahead in the vote count right now and I'm okay with that. He's on my list with a question mark. However, I would expect with so little to go on by the village that the vote getters would be trying a bit harder to shift the vote, whether they're good or bad.

I don't really know how to respond to this except that it's reading too much into it - but you gotta look for something that rubs you wrong.

I mean, it's a father-son thing which is laid out in the rules and seems like a twist that could be in the game. Even if we haven't gotten to the point where Marty was conceived, the basic tenets of time travel tell me that killing his father would like.. make him disappear into thin air or something.

Right, I didn't necessarily mean the classic sense, just the general idea that if George was to die in the past, it would presumably mean Marty was never born. But it could be a stretch, I dont know.

It wouldn't be a classic lovers role, you are right, because it wouldn't be two-way. But I could definitely see it being a one-way lover deal.

Good question. Schmidty was second in the vote, so maybe it would go to the third person, which would be Danny. Or it could just be a total re-do once we get to D1 .. now if we skip D1 then I could see someone dying as a result of that, since a vote was in place.

Mau's flips at the end are interesting, too. He explains the vote at 334 by saying he doesn't want to do what Font does. And his flip back to GE comes not long after this:

I didn't understand your explanation of why you bolded certain votes. You think the early upping of GE by Jackal and mau were indications of suspicion? Not sure why Autumn's vote that you highlighted is considered suspicious either.

It appears it was done by Koranian bomb (the 3rd party wolf team) soon after the D-3 deadline.

And I thought that his point about the lovers' roles makes a lot of sense because of the father-son angle and it's not something I had thought about - mainly because of their relationship in the movie. It sounds like an observation one would make just based on the old time travel paradox of "if you killed your grandfather... (or father)..."

So I won't be following you onto voting Jackal.
