FA to probe Brown butt, study Ball action
The English Football Association has confirmed it will investigate two off-the-ball incidents from last weekend after Manchester City's Michael Ball seemed to deliberately stamp on Cristiano Ronaldo and Fulham's Michael Brown apparently nutted Liverpool's Xabi Alonso.

The FA will examine the evidence in both cases this Tuesday before staging a possible disciplinary hearing on Thursday.

Television footage of Saturday's Manchester derby and Liverpool match in West London will be looked at.

An FA spokesman said: "We will look at the television footage of the incidents tomorrow and ask the officials what action they would have taken had they seen the incidents, and any charges will be based on that."

These are definitely of the ilk of "let's see what we can sneak past our editor". They're not oops's.

If there were a map of everywhere in the US being one color except for the non-Queens part of New York and a giant picture of a bandwagon off the coast under the title "Here be monsters", then this would be the ideal time to post that image.
