Green Garbage bag day in Chicago

Now that the FOOL-X championship is over, Chicago Southpaws players and staff have returned to the stadium, garbage bags in hand, for the annual locker room cleanup. This is not unusual, as this ritual is followed by nearly every team in every league...Clean out the lockers, say "see ya in the spring!" to some teammates, or even "Goodbye, so long and farewell" to others who may be retiring or moving elsewhere.
But upon entering the clubhouse today Southpaw players have learned that this day is indeed different....Not because of the somber feeling of no longer being on top of the world, champions of the league, after the crushing 5 games to 2 defeat at the hands of Ann Arbor, but because of the heart wreching news delivered by team General Manager and FOOL-X legend Richie Moore.

Reading from a prepared statement, Richie Moore struggling to keep his voice from cracking, said to the team,

"Today, the owners of the Chicago Southpaw organization wish to make it public, that they no longer have faith in the city of Chicago to support a profesional baseball team. We have fought with city hall for the past dozen years for funds from the city to aid in building a new ball park. The latest referendium, in which the tax payers in Chicago were in majority in rejecting the latest proposal which would see tax money used for 50% of the cost of a new stadium is the last straw.
The city of London Ontario, has for 6 years now been offering to build a new state of the art stadium in hopes to luering the Chicago franchise back to London, where this franchise began back in 1961 as one of the original FOOL-X teams. This year, the owners of the Chicago Southpaws, have accepted London's proposal."

After the announcement, 4 current Southpaw Allstars 2b José Carlos Cantú, SP Felipe García, SS José Vidal and Team Captain LF Allen Hunt all declaired that they will not be moving to Canada and would rather test free agency.

To quote Californian born Allen Hunt, "Sure the beer is good and everyone is friendly, but how can you respect a country that calls their currency "The loonie"?

Cubain Jose Cantu "Chicago been very good to me...I like very much. London women too pale...parka not good...touque...not good...No see much"

The City of London is thrilled at the news that the Bishops will be retuning pending league approval.
