a-ha vs Verve - a ha continues its extremely strong run still getting 82% of this vote. That actually pulls down it's total vote % to 85%...way above the next closest song...though the next two highest are both in this pod.

O'Connor vs Proclaimers - back and forth early, but Proclaimers wins out. The close win drops their vote percentage from just over 80% down to 74.5%, in 1 round.

Soft Cell vs Twisted Sister - the song that seems synonymous with OHW takes it over the rock song that had performed so well up to this point. Tainted Love is still getting around 80% of the vote in total.

Nena vs Deep Blue Something - nice run for Tiffany's comes to an end. Nena with the big win, but next round will be much tougher...

The first 4 of the elite 8 have the 1, 4, 5, & 9th seeds. Things playing out pretty much in line with the seeds, with only Macarena at 8 not still in the picture.
