1st Degree Burn + Lime Pepsi Max is decent, but nothing I'd rush right out and get again. On the other hand, the lime Pepsi Max has a pleasant taste just by itself.

I've gotten tired of 1st Degree Burn, by the way. The last couple bags I've noticed a *very* strong cream flavor which I don't especially care for, so I told my mom, who's been looking, that the 3 bags of 1st Degree Burn she found are fine.

But I have other news to report!

When I went to my usual gas station just now, they had *3* bags of 2nd Degree Burn, the first time I've seen 2DB live and in person! Naturally, I snatched all three bags up.

Haven't tried them yet, but will soon.

Yeah! Can't wait to hear how it goes

I went back to gas station #2 and they only had 1st degree. The 2 people I spoke with weren't there so I didn't ask. These seem really hard to come by; I might have to write to Frito-Lay and find out what the deal is.

Confirmed on the salt and vinegar taste.

The vinegar hits first, then the salt.

I think they're a little bit hotter than 1st Degree Burn, but still tolerable.

I won't be buying any more 2nd Degree, because I can't stand the taste of vinegar.

So there's just 3rd Degree left to try.

Ah ok cool, so it's not just me.

I went to Target today and didn't see anything there. They had the spicy nacho Doritos, but that was it.

Cheetos Crunchy Wild Habanero not available in a 50 mile radius of me.

1st and 2nd Degree Burn Doritos should be available within a few miles, closest 3rd Degree is 23 miles.

Maybe I'll try to find the Doritos sometime this week.

Sorry guys... I used the link to find them in my area and just assumed you guys knew about it. Should have posted anyway. I will offer a caution, though. It lies. Sometimes it showed me stores that weren't there and other times it showed me stores that didn't have the chips at all (Clerks even said they didn't carry them).

As I posted on Twitter earlier, I was able to find the 99-cent bags of both 1st and 2nd degree burn Doritos at a local 7-Eleven. I had my best friend over for dinner and hanging out tonight, so after our dinner, we each tried one of each chip.

Initial reactions were that the 1st degree had a kick at the end, whereas the 2nd degree was initially hot and sweet, but wasn't bad. We agreed we could probably each eat half a bag of each. She had milk while she was eating hers, I had Sprite Zero (not a big fan of dark sodas in general).

I finished off the 1st degree ones first. What was eminently reasonable in the single-chip experience was something totally different when eating half a bag. I felt like they had a slightly "sour" taste, and I had a little burn in my mouth when I finished them, but all in all, they were alright.

I tackled the 2nd degree ones next. Even in larger quantities, I found them sort of sweet, but the heat on them was much more noticeable. After finishing off that half bag, I finished my can of Sprite Zero and still needed more. So I poured a glass of milk and helped myself to a cornbread muffin (which I'd made earlier to go with the chili we ate for dinner).

All in all, I liked them both, but man does the impact intensify with more than 1 chip. I think I'd eat them again, in single serving portions. I'd probably lean more to the 2nd degree, since even though they were hotter, I found the slightly sour taste with the 1st degree a little off-putting.

I spoke to a couple store managers and they said that the Frito Lay guy said they no longer make 'em. Oh well.

I've never seen a bag of 3rd degree but I found the 2nd degree ones and think they're plenty hot. I'd like to try 3rd degree though. Does anyone know if 1st and 2nd degree are staying around if 3rd degree isn't? Are they all just temporary products or now part of the permanent Doritos line?

Are the habanero Doritos different from the 1st/2nd/3rd degree Doritos? If so I don't think I've ever seen a big bag of really hot Doritos in grocery stores near me.

I'm beginning to believe that the 3rd Degree Doritos were never made and was a ploy to sell more of the 1st and 2nd Degree Doritos.

Tacos at Midnight make me think of the invariable bathroom run at 1am. So I cant eat them.

I thought the cheeseburger ones sucked too.

I know it's probably the missionary position of snacks, but give me regular doritos. I didn't ask for all these flavors.

My only gripe with the Cheeseburger Doritos is they go a little heavy on the mustard flavor. Wouldn't mind some ketchup style ones.

The habenero doritos that I've found are NOT the 3rd degeree ones or whatever. THey are in the same bag they used to be in. Regular dorito bag that's kinda light orange.

Now that we have a confirmed 3rd degree burn sighting per the Kooter, I'm going to redouble my efforts to find them. According to the Frito Lay place, there should be a ton round here.
