The Marshall Plan and desegregation of the military and federal government were pretty substantial things that Truman did.

He was clueless, let his cabinet run things (and they were a corrupt bunch), and the Union's treatment of the South during Reconstruction was deplorable and left a nation still divided. I like Grant the person. But Grant the president would come in on my list as bottom 5 all time.

Yeah, I feel like Grant is doing well because of his status as a Civil War hero moreso than for his actual presidency.
