NEW LEAGUE RECORDS

New York's C Wayne Bissel, a former undrafted free agent, sets a new league record with 56 KRB's.

.

NEW FALCON RECORDS Kenyon Daniels scored 9 rushing TD's, breaking his own team mark of 8, set back in 2014.
RCB Devin Withers breaks his own team record of 6 INT's. He snags 8 this year

COMMENTS
SE Gus Lang returned full strength from his injury in Week 16. I've now got some kind of stable of wide receivers.

2018 POSTSEASON

WILD CARD ROUND

Miami 38, Baltimore 17

Chicago 21, SF 12

Philadelphia 31, Green Bay 0

Cincinnati 28, Oakland 10

CONFERENCE SEMIFINAL ROUND

Atlanta 31, Chicago 3: Barker is 20 for 31 for 201 yards with a TD and 0 INT's to lead us to victory.

Cincinnati 34, Tennessee 28

Kansas City 37, Miami 10

Minnesota 37, Philadelphia 9

CONFERENCE FINALS

Kansas City 37, Cincinnati 19

Dexter Foust runs for 160 yards to lead the Chiefs to victory.

Atlanta 20, Minnesota 17

Barker brings us back from a 17-10 fourth-quarter deficit, and Leroy Matsko hits a 20-yard FG with 31 seconds to play for the 20-17 win.

KEY CONTRACT EXTENSIONS

None. Can't afford any of the ones I would want to extend.

FRONT OFFICE BOWL
KANSAS CITY (15-3) (-1) vs. ATLANTA (14-4)

LCB Spencer Carlton broke ribs in the NFC Championship, and he was sorely missed today. Our pass defense had been #1 in the league, but Rondell Lofton had a banner day against the depleted secondary: 24 for 30 for 267 yards, 3 TD's, 0 INT's. We fall 31-17 to the Chiefs, and Rondell Lofton continues to establish himself as one of the best QB's in the game. After 7 years of bouncing around from team to team, the former undrafted FA landed with the Chiefs, and had a breakout year last year. Lofton is now rated 63/63, and has a Front Office Bowl MVP on his resume'.

Everything seems to be in place for a run at the title for the next few seasons. The one thing I'd like to add to the mix: a marquee RB.

The great GRADY CUSANO finally retires this year, and he is rightfully named Legend Of The Game. Cusano was drafted 2(17) in the dispersal draft by the Raiders back in '04. In the next 15 seasons, he led them to four titles. He's the league's winningest QB with a 147-65 (.693) record as a starter. He also is the leader with 28 fourth-quarter comebacks. Cusano was a 6-time All Pro selection, 3-time League MVP, and 3-time Championship Game MVP. He retires as the all-time leader in completions (3755), yards (47,071) and TD's (322). His 95.1 career QB rating is the best among all QB's who have played 10+ seasons.

2019 ROSTER SHAPING

BEGINNING CAP SITUATION
SALARY CAP: $195.5
ROOM UNDER CAP: $5.23
MAX FOR NEW PLAYER: ($5.77M)

INJURY UPDATES FROM LAST SEASON
SS Nicky Register drops to 32/33.

LCB Harvey Hallock is still Out (7 weeks), and is no longer under contract. Buh-bye.

LG Harry Mayes is done to 49/50. He's still highly-scouted for run blocking, but in the 20's and 30's in the other 4 categories.

FRANCHISE PLAYER
LCB Spencer Carlton gets the tag once again this year.

KEY FREE AGENTS/RESTRICTED PLAYERS FROM MY TEAM

SE Sammie Farrell, everyone's favorite feel-good story and comeback player of the year, is a FA. Not sure I need a 5th WR.

LG Harry Mayes is coming off knee surgery, and Gabe Lemons is signed to a long-term deal. Time to move on.

LT Kendall Lindsay had two so-so seasons with us. I'd like to improve at that position.

RDE Buddy Loseth had 8 sacks in his mainly-pass-rush role, but 2nd-year man Korey Brock looks ready to step in in that role.

LCB Harvey Hallock is still recovering from a ruptured achilles, and was no better than our nickel guy anyway. Gone.

FS Kirk Peterson has been the "weak link," if you can call it that, in a stellar secondary. He's a mediocre player who may or may not get re-signed, depending on who else is available.

FREE AGENCY
POSITIONS TO FILL OR UPGRADE: RB, LT, SS, FS

CUTS OF NOTE

SS Nicky Register--coming off his injury. Looking like he can't get it done anymore. Was in last year of contract anyway.

SIGNINGS

FS O.J. Coles--This former 5th-round pick by Jax in 2009 has bounced around the league. Picked off 6 passes for Buffalo last year. Gets a modest 3-year deal.

LT Ike Klug--9th-year man is a mentor to offensive tackles, and a mediocre player himself--looks a little better than the mediocre player I let become a FA, and perhaps he can help develop a youngster.

SS Brett Harada--Oakland picked this guy 6(32) in 2011. He has bounced around the league, but my scout likes him--plus he's an outstanding punt returner (93).

WHERE OUR KEY GUYS WENT

Neither of the solid ones (Farrell and Loseth) signed anywhere.

AMATEUR DRAFT

PICKS
I have the following picks: 1(17), 1(31), 2(31), 3(22) and pick #31 in rounds 4-7.

NEEDS
I could use youngsters at RB, WR, LT, FS, and SS.

There was a complete stud RB available, but I couldn't trade up to 1(1), and that's where he went. No one else looks like I want to take him with a first round pick, so I trade out of the round, picking up a first-rounder next year and a 2(3) this year. The trade is with Dallas. Here's hoping they stink this year. At any rate, here's the draft this year:

We sign a few backups and 1st-year guys in late free agency. None worth mentioning. I do re-sign Sammie Farrell to a one-year deal.

Good to see Jimmy May make a nice jump. Looks like Quinn and May will be our safeties for a long time to come.

2019 PRESEASON/FINAL CUTS/OUTLOOK

PRESEASON INJURIES OF NOTE

Nothing major. Worst injury is a backup DT out 4 weeks with strained achilles tendon.

FINAL CUTS

WLB Joseph Williamson

LCB Mike Wilkins

REGULAR SEASON OUTLOOK

POWER RATING: 70. Best in NFC. Philly (67) and NY (66) are right there, though.
ROSTER: 100. NY, Carolina, and Houston are at 85.

DIVISION RIVALS

(LAST YEAR'S RECORD IN PARENTHESIS)

CAROLINA (9-7)--The Panthers freed up some cap room and signed a handful of mediocre players to 2-3 year contracts, and they actually look quite solid this year. Their QB, Bernie Cason (51/51), is one of the aforementioned mediocre guys. He had an 87.8 rating for Baltimore last year in 10 starts. Their offensive line is very good, and the defense looks like it could be decent. They look a lot like a good human team right now--5 guys rated in the 60's-80's, and a bunch of guys in the 40's and 50's.

NEW ORLEANS (8-8)--Bucky Hartman didn't have all that good of a year last year, and he was released in favor of 2nd-year man Bert Fisher (40/59), a 2nd-round pick for the Saints last year. RB Sammie Erickson, a fourth-year man who rushed for over 1,500 yards last year, is back and looking good, and has a solid offensive line to run behind. They're probably going to be no better than mediocre defensively.

TAMPA BAY (2-14)--Jason Raymond went down after 1 game last year with a Degenerative Hip Condition, and will miss all of this year (49 weeks). They've signed former Falcon 2nd-round pick QB Will Dawson to a 2-year deal. He's got a decent set of receivers, but a weak offensive. The defense looks like it will be decent, but nothing special.

DIVISION PREDICTION

Atlanta 12-4

Carolina 10-6 (WC)

New Orleans (9-7)

Tampa Bay (5-11)

NEW LEAGUE RECORDS

KC's RB Dexter Foust put up some other-worldly numbers this year. He gained 1,743 yards on only 285 attempts, giving him a league-record 6.11 yards per carry for the season.

Larry Scibona passes Grady Cusano's career record for completions. He now has 3764. If he plays one more full season, he'll also surpass his total passing yards record as well. Scibona just completed his 14th season.

.

NEW FALCON RECORDS In only his 5th season, LDE Deron Mirkovich establishes a new all-time Falcon mark for sacks. He now has 46.5.
Barker's 96.1 QB Rating is a Falcon records, as as his 28 TD passes.
Gus Lang's 1,329 receiving yards establish a new Falcon mark.

COMMENTS
A very good year all around. Randall Barker has established himself as one of the better QB's in the league. Once again, KC looms as perhaps the biggest obstacle to a title.

Ok. I'm growing weary of posting at this level of detail. Expect the dynasty to move faster, but with less detail, from here forward. I'll probably just post key signings, key depatures, the draft class, and the year-end summaries.

2020 SEASON
RETIREMENTS
QB Hardy Tamm decides to hang 'em up after a 14-year career. He was drafted 1(15) in 2006 by the Dolphins, but never played a down for them. The Giants picked him up in '08, and he spent two seasons on their bench before we signed him to backup Donny Schwartz. Schwartz got hurt, and Tamm had a job as starter for all or part of the next 7 seasons. As Rasberry and Barker began to mature, it became obvious that one of them would take over, but Tamm stuck around for three more non-playing seasons (2017-2019) as a Mentor to the two young lads. Here's his final playing card:

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Thwarted again in the Front Office Bowl, this time by the Colts. Obviously, we had a completely dominant defense all year long, but our offense sputtered in the big game. Still, there were numerous bright spots, not the least of which was the performance of rookie Joseph Wolfe at RB.

NEW RECORDS INVOLVING FALCONS
Sammie Farrell passes Gilbert Boyer for all-time Falcon receiving yards. Farrell now has 7,283.
Joseph Wolfe's 17 rushing Td's are a league single-season record, and his 1,520 yards are a Falcon record.
Barker's 96.7 passer rating bests his own Falcon mark.
Mirkovich's 12.5 sacks are a team record.

Dang! That stretch from weeks 4 through 9 looked very 1975 Steeler-esque defensively. Grats on having a truly great team! A shame to see the loss to the Colts as that's probably how the year will be remembered.

2021 SEASON
KEY RETIREMENTS
After 14 seasons, SE Sammie Farrell calls it quits. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent back in 2007, but managed to become, to date, the team's all-time leader in receiving yards. Most notable about his career is that he missed two full seasons with RCS and returned to have three productive years afterward. Here's his final playing card:

KEY FA DEPARTURES
LCB Spencer Carlton--I felt the need to franchise Bennie Cobb instead, and Carlton wouldn't sign with us, due to past injustices. I mean, what is his problem??? I only franchised him like 3 or 4 years in a row!!!! He signed with Green Bay.
FL Mickey Devine--I let him go because I decided to pursue a stud FL, who ended up signing with division rival Carolina instead. Devine signed with Da Bears.
RDT Roy Novack--Rabe moves over from LDT, and 2nd-year man Fulcher steps up full-time at LDT. Signed with Jax.

KEY FA ARRIVALS
FL Hugh Wright--Been with Da Bears for 10 years. Lots of small injuries. Outstanding at getting open and doesn't drop many balls. He's the consolation prize, though, as I really wanted deep threat Lionel Lane, who signed with the Panthers.
FL Emmitt Schwartz--He and Wright were much cheaper than Lane. Schwartz is a deep threat who'll probably be our WR3 this year. (Gus Lang is going to miss all of this year with RCS.)

NEW LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
RCB Bernie Cobb gets a 5-year deal.

REDEMPTION!!! We whup the Colts this time to take the title. It was an interesting season. With virtually the same offensive line and backfield in place from last year, we go from a team-record 148.1 rushing yards per game in 2020 to the worst rushing team in terms of ypc this year. Statistically, we ran it a lot, but after mid-season most of those carries came when we were up by a good bit. We had to abandon the run as our bread and butter. Regardless, that championship trophy sure does look good!

NEW RECORDS INVOLVING FALCONS
C Carlos McCormick gets 15 KRB's this year to take over the league all-time record, with 377. All but 42 of those were with the Falcons.
Barker takes over the Falcon career lead for TD passes with 124.
Gilbert Boyer takes back all of the all-time team receiving records.
Emmitt Schwartz's numbers for receptions, yards, and Td's were all Falcon single-season records.
For the third straight season, Barker sets a new team season record for QB rating, this time with a 99.5 mark.

Sah-weet!!!! I finally got a stud RB. Traded up to get a kid who looks like he'll be a big-timer. I'm starting the 2022 regular season right now. Stay tuned for news on the exploits of RB Glenn Reynolds.

Poor Joe Wolfe... I guess his performance in his second year looked more like Karim Abdul-Jabbar.

2022 SEASON
KEY RETIREMENTS
After 14 seasons, SE Gilbert Boyer hangs 'em up. He joined the team as a 1(6) pick back in '08. He never lived up to that kind of billing, but he did have a solid career as a Falcon, mainly as a 3rd/4th WR, and retires as the all-time Falcon leader in Receptions, Receiving Yards, and Receiving TD's. His numbers...

KEY FA DEPARTURES
QB Gus Lucas--I should have traded him last year, ultimately, but I didn't think he'd ask for a BIG contract yet, considering he's only thrown 35 passes in his career. His ratings are getting rather studly, though, so I should have known. Because Randall Barker kept putting up better and better numbers each year, Lucas never got the chance to start, even though he's scouted as being better than Barker. He'll probably make a fine QB somewhere else.
WLB Austin Farrell--As much as we're ahead, and as good and deep as our secondary is, we play a lot of nickel anyway. No point in paying a big salary for WLB any longer. Houston signs him.
LT Ike Klug--20.6 KRBPct last year, and allowed 8 sacks. I'm not paying big bucks for mediocrity. Pittsburgh signs him to a 3-yr/$30M deal.
P Steve Wilton--getting too expensive...goes to Seattle

KEY FA ARRIVALS
P Dan Davidson--cheaper punter. 17-year vet.
LG Jackie Samuels--12-year vet signed to one-year deal as a stopgap while my starter (Gave Lemons) is on IR this season
LT Adam Wyoming--Another 12-year vet. Better at pass-blocking than run-blocking. 2-year deal.

NEW LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
None.

There's a stud RB in this year's draft pool. after last year's debacle, and Wolfe's continued drop in ratings, I deal the 1(32), and the first-rounders for the next two seasons, to get up to 1(3) to grab him. I then trade Wolfe (and a bit cap hit next year), along with a 5th-rounder this year to Jax for their 2nd-rounder next year. This deal frees up a little cap room to re-sign FS Jimmy May, who is an RFA.

Dadgummit! Our pass defense had been so good in the regular season, but just got torched in the NFC Championship. That's a real bummer, because next year will probably be one of a bit of transition. Several key guys' contracts have run out because the cap wouldn't allow the big extensions that they wanted. Around 6-8 key players will have to be sorted through in the offseason.

An obvious bright spot is the play of Glenn Reynolds. QB Barker will be in his 10th season next year, and his ratings have dropped a hair. Luke Ulufale is close, but probably not ready to take over. Point being, we may have to rely on the running game more and more in the next few seasons.

Washington went on to win the Front Office Bowl 28-14 over San Diego.

NOTE: I was pretty stunned with the final victory over Carolina. Because I had everything clinched at that point, I de-activated my best players, started everyone who was disgruntled or worse, rested everyone with even a minor injury, etc

NEW RECORDS INVOLVING FALCONS
Barker takes over the Falcon career lead for passing yards with 22,489..
RCB Bennie Cobb's 25 passes defensed are a team record.
We set an all-time league record for scoring in a single season this year

ATLANTA AWARDS
K Matsko--1st Team-31 for 34 FG's--49 for 50 XP's
RCB Cobb--1st Team
LG Samuels--2nd Team

KEY RETIREMENTS

Three very familiar names decide to call it a career. First off, there's RB Kenyon Daniels. Daniels was our 1(24) pick in 2011. I traded up from 1(31) to get this 233-pounder, and I'm glad I did. He became the primary starter from day 1, a role he held on to for the better part of 9 seasons before taking a back seat, remaining on our roster mainly as a mentor to younger backs. (He only got 86 carries total in his final three seasons.) Daniels retires as the all-time Falcon leader in rushing attempts (2,034), yards (8,430) and TD's (46).

Next on the retirement list is C Carlos McCormick, who was named Legend Of The Game. he was a 5(3) pick in 2007, and started immediately. He had some injury problems in his seasons 2-4, only playing in 25 games over those three years. He played with us for two more after that before departing as a FA to Oakland for two years, but we signed him back in 2015, and he played his final 8 seasons in Atlanta, primarily as the starter. In his 16 seasons, he compiled an NFL-Record 401 Key Run Blocks, and was named All-Pro twice.

Finally, this guy's worth mentioning even though he didn't finish up in Atlanta, but LCB Spencer Carlton hangs up his cleats for the Packers. Carlton was a 6(7) pick in '09, considered at the time to be a candidate for nickel or dime corner, and not much more. However, his ratings climbed and he became one of the best corners in the league eventually. He was a full-time starter from us from 2011-2020, during the era when we were #1 in pass defense several times. He was named All Pro in 2013, 2019, and 2021, the last time as a Packer. He's third all-time in passes defensed (168), and had 33 career INT's as well. He wasn't too shabby against the run, either.

KEY FA DEPARTURES
LDE Deron Mirkovich--Rickey Gooden is looking just about ready, so I let him go. The Cardinals gave him a 4-year deal worth $173.54M.
FL Hugh Wright--I have a nice stable of WR's now, so I let him fly. Miami inks him to a 2-year deal.
LG Jackie Samuels--Gabe Lemons is fully healed, so I save the cap room that Samuels wanted. Seattle gives him $3M/$31.67M.
LCB Colin Chryplewicz--I wanted to keep him, but I simply couldn't because of the cap. Instead, I decided to pursue a cheaper option. With the retirement of Spencer Carlton, the Packers give him a 4-year, $44.49M deal.
FB Arnie Schwartz--He was never the best run blocker, and now with a stud RB, I'm going to go with a run-blocker at this position. The Titans sign the 8-year vet to a one-year deal.

KEY FA ARRIVALS

RDE Britt Lennon--Will play in run situations. 3-year, $11.1M deal for this 11-year veteran journeyman.

RCB Les Hawk--Bennie Cobb will move over to the right side, and I'm hoping this guy will be a real ball-"Hawk." (I'm sorry.) He's *much* cheaper than Chryplewicz would have been, though.

P Dixon Lahr--Our last punter only had a one-year deal. This 4-year vet gets a 5-year contract, but with very low bonus money. I can cut him at any time I need to. He's got a very strong leg with very good hang time, but isn't very good at directional punting.

NEW LONG-TERM CONTRACTS

I extend QB Luke Ulufale's contract through 2026. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice that I made with Gus Lucas who, by the way, threw for 4,000+ yards for the Steelers last year.

This may go down as a great draft for us. I got youngsters where I needed 'em, and several are showing encouraging early signs. It is also noting that 4th-year C Ricky Rudolph is up to 58/58. He dropped from 32/55 at the draft to 32/53, but is now on the rise. Also, SE Wendell Faulkenberry continues to show serious improvement since I made him our 4(31) pick in 2021, when he was rated 25/38. He's now up to 53/53, and will start at SE over Wes Proctor this season.

YES! Another title. We defeat Brock "Buck" Rogers and his Browns for our third title, and 2nd in three years. I will soon have to deal with the QB transition from Barker to Ulufale, but not right now. Barker has one more year on his contract with us, and in all likelihood next year will be his last as a Falcon. Regardless of the QB, Glenn Reynolds is realer than Real Deal Holyfield as our running back. Barring major ratings-hurting injuries, and considering my penchant for running the football, this 83/84 guy could set some long-term records in our league.

NEW RECORDS INVOLVING FALCONS

Reynolds establishes new single-season Falcon marks for rushing yards and ypc.

Leroy Matsko's 36 FG's are a team record.

Barker now owns all the Falcon passing records.

We set team records for rushing yards and total yards this year.

ATLANTA AWARDS

K Leroy Matsko--first team--36 for 45 FG, 38 for 40 XP.

C Ricky Rudolph--second team

RT Harold Cook--2nd team

RG Shaun McCormick--League Championship MVP (7 for 9 KRB).

2024 SEASON
KEY RETIREMENTS
Atlanta says goodbye to Devin Withers this year. Withers was our 5(31) pick in 2011, and was our nickel corner for his first two seasons. As he continued to improve, he moved into a starting role in his 3rd season. That year, he set a Falcon single-season mark for passes defensed with 20, and equaled that number twice more in his career, only to see it shattered by Bennie Cobb in 2022 (25). Despite that mark being eclipsed, his name still remains in the Falcon record book as the career leader in passes defensed (139) and in interceptions (37). Withers retires with a career PDPct of 20.6.

KEY FA DEPARTURES
RDT Preston Rabe--Contract was up, and slightly better options were available at similar price. Signed with Houston.
LT Adam Wyoming--4th-year man Tyrell Harter looks like he can be just as mediocre of a LT as Wyoming.

KEY FA ARRIVALS
RDT Harvey Acree--This 11-year veteran mentor should help improve our run defense, which dropped off slightly last year.

NEW LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
None.

I got offered a trade for QB Glen Newton after the draft--a 6th-rounder. T. Barber had jumped back up to 21/52 between the draft and beginning of late free agency, making me feel better about offloading Newton. I take the trade.

Good to see the big jump for LG Moe Phillips. Also of note is undrafted FA LT Jack Hill: 22/42-->25/47

A great year overall, but no title. As I outlined in general discussion, the QB decision is a tough one. Transition may be in our future as Barker, Lang, and Faulkenbury all have their contracts run out.

NEW RECORDS INVOLVING FALCONS
Barker sets a new single-season Falcon QB rating mark., and Matsko bests the team FG mark that he set last year by one.

2025 SEASON
KEY RETIREMENTS
None of my players retire this year.

KEY DEPARTURES
QB Randall Barker--Ulufale looks ready to go, so I let Barker go after his best season. Hope this doesn't come back to bite me too badly.
SE Wendell Faulkenberry--I had to get a cheaper player here for cap reasons. The Lions ink him to a 5-year deal.
LDE Rickey Gooden--The Niners outbid me for him. I was aggressively pursuing him, but he takes off.

KEY FA ARRIVALS
MLB Mitch England--12th-year veteran was has starred in Indianapolis for his entire career. Former DROY and All-Pro. Needed him because Clifton Shaw's recovery from his MCL Surgery last year is not complete, and uncertain.
FS Gino Blair--8th-year man who's been an All-Pro once is better than Donny Barrett.
SE Irving Long--7th-year man is already a mentor. Pretty solid ratings, but hasn't done much impressive with either Baltimore or San Fran. He'll start for now, and help develop youngsters. He signed a three-year deal for only $2.8M a year, which is less than $1M in 2004 dollars.
LDE Gilbert Brock--8th-year man--good run-stopper, very limited pass-rush skills--former 2(3) pick from Carolina, and has bounced around since his rookie contract expired--signed to 2-year deal after Rickey Gooden decided not to sign with us.
FB Bryant Robinson--journeyman fullback mentor, as I'll be starting 3rd-year man Kerry Ogden

Yes! Ulufale leads us back to the mountaintop, and we shouldn't lose much next year. As of right now, we look to be extremely well-positioned for our first back-to-back titles.

2026 SEASON
KEY RETIREMENTS
None of my players retire this year.

KEY DEPARTURES
(Well, four players are cost over 35% of the salary cap this year: LCB Cobb ($25.68M), SLB Diaz ($25M), MLB England ($21M), and RB Reynolds ($15.33M). Add in four more guys (RT Thompson, SS Quinn, LDT Fulcher, QB Ulufale), and you have around 53% of the cap being spent on 8 players. As a result, I'm having to go with serious mediocrity in my FA signings this year.)
RDT Harvey Acree--like him, can't afford him
TE Dubois--Probably could have afforded him, but wanted to go with Shaun Ashenfelter any way.
WR Gus Lang--I hated to see this have to happen. The former 4(27) pick had been with us for 14 years.

KEY FA ARRIVALS
Well, these guys don't look very "key", but they will all likely be starters, so I guess I should list 'em...
LDE Rickey Lee--run-stopper--5th-year man.
SE Ray Shields--will probably start at Flanker--mediocre 8-year vet
RDE Kyle Collier--another run-stopping journeyman--9-year vet
LT Drew Lofton--With a 5.0 Grade, he's the best new FA I sign this year. 5th-year vet. Only allowed 2 sacks in 13 starts with MN last year. Pretty good pass blocker. Below average run blocker.
TE Butch Franklin--13-year vet will mentor Shaun Ashenfelter for minimum veteran salary.
.

RB Glenn Reynolds is going to see his contract expire at the end of this season, and the way things are for me now, cap-wise, there are no guarantees that I'll be able to keep him, thus the pick of a potential starting RB in the 2nd round. Overall, I can be nothing but pleased with this draft.

The Saints will be moving to Austin for the 2031 season.

Yup. Our first back-to-back titles, despite Ulufale suffering a major injury. We signed QB Mack Reilly off of the scrap heap. He was one of the top QB's in the league until a major injury around midseason in 2024. He had not played a single game since then, and was still injured, but three weeks away from a return, when I signed him at the point of Ulufale's injury. Reilly lost a lot, ratings-wise (down to 41/43), and even suffered another minor injury in his second week, but he was good enough to win a championship, relying mainly on the legs of Glenn Reynolds.

I must admit that I'm beginning to lose interest in documenting this career. Part of me would like a fresh start with a league filled with accurate numbers of championship rings and POG awards, and I'm thinking about doing an FOF2K4 version of the House Arrest Challenge. However, the challenge of continuing to win with Glenn Reynolds demanding big bucks, and with Ulufale's ability for next year uncertain is intriguing at this point. I'll play at least a season or two longer with this career, though. To the numbers...

Interesting to see that New Orleans lost the Saints. You'd think that since they've been a good team the fans would be more likely to pony up and have them stay. Will be interesting to see the Austin vs. Houston vs. Dallas rivalry if you choose to continue this dynasty.
