Def. Rookie of the Year – WLB Andres Arellano

All Pro 1st Team

RB Cesar Lemoine
SLB Rex Madison

All Pro 2nd Team

QB Alejandro Abrams
NT Brody Newman

This is Newman’s first All Pro! The Era of Madison Continues! And that Arellano pickup looks pretty good in hindsight, right?

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Abrams – 336 of 536, 3796, 21:3, 94.6 rating

His numbers remain down but his picks are way down.

Rushing

RB Lemoine – 351 for 1364, 3.89 ypc, 10 scores

He led the league in yards but is ypc remains low. He tied for 2nd most TDs

Receiving

Cleghorn rebounded from last year and is back to 1000+ yards. His 1163 was 5th in the league. Lemoine had a solid year receiving with more than 500 yards. TE Flynn had a down year after his All Pro season last year.

Blocking

Hymes started hot but slowed down in the latter half, and finished 2nd in KRB after Macias. He had a great block % too.

Special Teams

K Poston – 39 of 49, Long of 56, 36 of 37 PAT

10 missed FGs? You need to up that.

P Bruce – 87 punts, 43.7 avg, 30 in 20

Not too bad. Need to work on that avg

We had 0 returns scoring

Nemecheck had 25 special teams tackles again, and 3 FF

Defense

Madison led my team in tackles with 101 (he had 99 last year) and 8 massive sacks, which was 2nd on my team. Arellano led my team with 8.5 sacks. NT Newman collected 7.5 sacks which is solid for a DT/NT. Just 5 sacks by Pinkney and it was a down year for him. 5.5 for Nemecheck as a backup, and 3 for Adams as a backup. Nemecheck led my team with 3 FF.

Pass Coverage

It was a down year for Kempthorne in picks but he still led my team with 4, and 9 pasdef wasn;t bad. Madison led my team with 15 pasdef and tied for 2nd with 3 picks. Good stuff!

Special Teams Player of the Year – LB Allen Nemecheck – Another solid year for this gunner. Good stuff!

Rookie of the Year – WLB Andres Arellano – Obviously…

Heart Award – LB Leo Adams – Deep in the depth chart but still came up with 3 sacks. Good stuff!

I end the season = we score a 54

The 2051 NFL Offseason

Hall of Fame

None of Ours

Retirements of Note

None of ours

Other Abe’s Boys

WR Bryson Woodard – UFA we brought it with the Panthers and played with us a while with the Bucs. Retired with 2 Rings

WR Braxton Wilcox- Stud WR for the Panthers, 6 All Pros, 3 Rings – my guess is he makes it to the HOF

WR Marco Brandenfeis – Another draftee alongside Wilcox and was on both Panthers and Bucs with him. 2 Rings, 11 RET TDs,

OG Sammy Tatum – First round pick with the Panthers in their first season, 3 Rings, 5 All Pros. Will he be a HOF as well?

Staff Draft

I retain my HC and DC. We draft 23rd. I make no changes

We have 75 mill under the cap and 62 for other non-draftees. I franchise Hymes. I might extend him after the draft

I’ll see you in FA!

The 2051 NFL FA Period #1

I interview 9 O Line for the 1.28 pick. I also interview D backs for Boyd’s spot.

I sign my RFAs C Edwin Johanningmeier won’t sign as he didn’t like his lack of playing time. I have 45 under contract and 30 mill for new players.

We have these UFAs heading out

TE Dixon
RB Lemoine
NT Drew
DE Jordan
LB Assessi
WR Vila
CB Miller

OC Edwin Johanningmeier, apparently

I am not chasing any of them.

Hymes wants 48 mill for 3 years that would drop his cap hit from 16.3 mill to 13.8

Key Players with one year left and what they want

WILB Butler – 7.6 mill, 2 years – I do this
OG Peterman – 58 mll 4 years, Cap drop of 1.4 mill. Not yet, I need to wait post-draft
DE Pinkney – 39 mill, 4 years – not bad but I’ll hold off.
OG Coffey – 29 mill, 3 years, cap rise of 1.7 mill. Ditto Peterman
FB Bensen – 4.4 mill – 2 years – I do this
CB Foreman – 111 mill, 4 years – I do this as well

I now have 13 mill in space for new players

Anyone we want to chase?

Some of my guys are cheap – Drew, Miller, Jordan. I could chase them and bring them in! But football is a game of replacement not sustainment and I’ll let them go.

Week 2 – Drew signs with Houston

Week 4 – Vila signs with Augusta

Week 5 – Lemoine heads to Green Bay

Week 6 – Jordan heads to Augusta

Week 9 – Miller signs with San Francisco

Week 11 – Dixon is going to Carolina

I’ll see you at the draft!

The 2051 NFL Amateur Draft

Picking at the 1.1 spot is New England. They grab OT Rowan Gardner

We fast forward 27 picks.

We got two separate back to back Defensive Rookie of the Years in these back of the 1st spots.

Who is on the board?

CB Mike Bernard – Solid bars, very overrated
RB Sam Gaylon – Seems pretty good for this far back. Is he my new Lemoine?

DE Corey Moyad – I did not interview any D Lines, but a stud is on the board and I didn’t interview him. He is the Bap as well.
FS Ramon Strzelczyk – The 2nd d back on the board, decent bars, no interview

I could chose not to resign Pinkney and then draft Moyad as his replacement.

Here you go. See how good he could be? Not good against the run but he’s strong elsewhere. I take him. He’s pretty well developed and could be a real star.

2.28 - Who is left? WR Scottie Lane looks good. SS Antonio Grembowski does as well. I also like TE Darnell Riley. Flynn is down to 55/55 so could I find a new starter? I pass on Lane. SS or TE? I do TE. He seems like a solid replacement.

3.28 – WR Manula seems pretty good here. Do I want him? Wait… how is Antonio Grembowski still on the board? I grab him. He seems like a grower.

4.28 – OG Peyton Shelby? OT Tyrell Correia? Shelby.

5.28 – Hmmmm…. No obvious choices. I grab a good looking CB – Rodney Coomes. He looks like a grower.

6.28 – LB Dashawn Willis looks solid.

7.28 – Hmmm…no clue. How about the top player on the board who’s not a CB? RB Jack Winslett.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.28 – DE Corey Moyad, San Jose State, 55/75
2.28 – TE Darnell Riley, California, 34/60
3.28 – SS Antonio Grembowski, Bowling Green, 22/44
4.28 – OG Peyton Shelby, Mississippi State, 23/54
5.28 – CB Rodney Coomes, Virginia Tech, 32/51
6.28 – MLB Dashawn Willis, Montana State, 25/59
7.28 – RB Jack Winslett, USC, 22/34

There you are! In Moyad we trust! If he holds, he could be a major pick up for us!

Who do I want to extend? I have 30 mill free.

I extend Hymes and Coffey. Peterman is too pricey and I hold off for now.

Any 2 year players I want to extend? Like Blair? He’s 90 mill for 5 years. Done

Madison wants 133 mill over 5 years. Nasty. I do so. Back to Back Def. Player of the Years? I can’t do otherwise… He is the Abrams of my defense

Wanna see my rookies?

Here’s Moyad. As you can see his run d isn’t strong, but he’s good everywhere else and adequate in coverage. He busted to 68 pot, but if you told me I was getting a 68 pot at the heavily drafted DE spot near the end of the 1st round I’d take it. I am starting him across from Pinkney this year before he leaves.

Here’s TE Riley

He’s fine in the run blocking, food in pass blocking, and has great receiving roles and his weakest is 52 big play which is pretty good for a TE. If he actually develops to his ability, Riley will be the best TE I’ve had in this dynasty. I hope he can play like it!

On The Green Page we have Moyad 4th and that’s it

Rookie Investigation

I almost wish I had taken RB Sam Galyon at 1.28 as he’s a high 60s pot RB. Ah well.

Riley is the best TE in the draft, but another is 42/69.

This was a bad year for WRs, the best is just 58 pot. No QB has even a 50 pot. Yuck.

At OG, Shelby was the 5th best one. There was a better one taken just past us at the 5.2. Sucks.

Moyad is the 2nd best DE in the draft, the best is DE Alexander Benton that went 1.21 and is just better at 52/69. He is also the 2nd best D Line player in the draft as no DT/NT is better than 68 pot.

After booming, LB Willis is the 4th best LB in the draft – the Browns have the 2nd best and he was a UFA which is pretty cool. I wish I had seen him, he’s pretty good

A S, our 3rd round pick booming went to 3rd best S and 6th best D back at 32/68. The best D back Is 61/81 by Denver and the best S is 40/78 by our former team the Jets

Enjoy!

The 2051 NFL Regular Season

I think we’ll be 13-3. We were 14-2 two years ago and 12-4 last year and we keep flirting with it. We’ll get it this year! What will happen with our first season without our first pick with the Bucs Cesar Lemoine?

Week 1 – At New Orleans – On the road, NFC South, last year’s Super Bowl winner? This is pretty big. Can we win our season opener? We lose 16-26. Nope! Abrams was 22 of 45 and 263 and 1:2. Score by TE Preston. Pick by Parsley, FF by Arellano.

Week 2 – Jacksonville – We lose 29-33 – Wodarz 2 rush scores, Patterson 1, Abrams 16 of 29, 246, 3 pasdef by Parsley, 4 KRB by Coffey

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Abrams – 349 of 595, 3994, 23:10, 84.8 rating

A down year for Abrams in picks and rating. He was 3rd in yards.

Rushing

RB Wodarz – 341 for 1164, 3.41 ypc, 9 scores

Wodarz was 3rd in yards, and tied for 1st in TDs. Not bad respectively for his first starting year.

Receiving

Cleghorn grabbed me 1222 yards on 91 grabs but just 5 scores. Riley notched up a solid 714 yards in his debut and led my team with 7 scores. Good job!

Blocking

I can’t fault Wodarz for the bittersweet debut as my blocking was down. 0 sacks allowed by Macias though! That’s pretty noteworthy!

Special Teams

K Poston – 42 of 44, Long of 53, 36 of 38 PAT

Just two missed FGs on the season? Great job kicker!

P Bruce – 91 punt,43.6 avg, 30 in 20.

Just okay again. Should I begin to look for another P?

WR Langlois – 1 PR RET TD

WR Compton – 28 special teams tackles!

Defense

Madison led me in tackles again with 111 which is 10 more than last year. His 11.0 sacks are the best I’ve had by any Lb in any year. Great job! Dude is a weapon! Rookie DE Moyad just grabbed me 15 sacks and was 0.5off the leader and 2nd in the league. Nasty! Those guys? And Arellano was down with just 3.5 sacks but that better represents his talent level as he probably overachieved as a rookie. Pinkney 6 sacks in a injury riddled campaign for him which was good for 7 games. Arellano led my team with 4 FF.

Pass Coverage

Parsley’s sophomore campaign was great with his 5 picks and 11 pasdef. We were down in other news. Madison led my team with 12 pasdef. Dude is a weapon!

I end the season, I score a 34

The 2052 NFL Offseason

Hall of Fame

RB Ronald Bonnell – This stud over at Carolina ruled the league. League MVP 4 times, and with 2 Rings, Bonnell was a true powerhouse.

Retirements of Note

None from our team.

Abe’s Boys

OT Kurt Gillespie – Starting OT at Carolina during their run. 3 Rings, no All Pros

Staff Draft

I resign my OC and SC. We pick 30th. I make no changes

Do I want to franchise OG Peterman? It’s 14.9 mill if I do, and we have 27 mill in cap room and 13.3 ready to resign folks so I doubt it. He’s too expensive.

I’ll see you in FA

The 2052 NFL FA Period #1

This year we really need to get O Line in the draft. We pick 1.20. There aren’t many good players, but I hope the 2nd best OG on the board falls to us as he’s very underrated. There aren’t that many good OTs either but there are three stud OCs in the draft that are strong. All three come back as As Scouted, and one might be there at 2.20 given how often they fall. I might cause one to drop to moving him to OG. I also use my last two interviews on RBs in case one falls. I like RB Shawn Kirk the 4th one on the board but I doubt he’ll be available.

I sign my RFAs. I now have 1 mill left to sign folks and a roster with 49 players.

These are my UFAs

OG Peterman
DE Pinkney
WR Compton
RT Horner

These key players are in the final year of their deal.

QB Abrams – 248 mill, 5 years, increase of 3 mill this year and moving up. Nasty!
LB Butler – Won’t resign as he’s 10th year vet
K Poston – Wants 45 mill over 4 years. This is a cap drop this year of 1 mill.
NT Newman – Wants 61 mill for 4 years, this is a cap drop of 3 mill this year. I will let him go despite the All Pro which saddens me. I may cut him this year…
FS Raul Boyd – Wants 40 mill over 4 years. No thanks – too pricey
SILB Carney – Wants 54 mill over 3 years, cut of 2 mill this year. No thanks – too pricey
DE Schneider – Wants 49 mill, 4 years. No thanks
NT Morton – Wants 10 mill over 3 years. Maybe if I don’t get a better one in the draft (he’s a run stopping specialist)

I extend FB Bensen by 10 mll for 4 years and WR Langlois

Anyone I wanna chase?

Compton and Horner are cheap, Peterman isn’t.

Should I make an offer for Horner?

I cut Newman and save 15 mill and I make a 16 mill 3 year offer for Horner. I’ll move him to OG to start for Peterman barring something unusual. That way I am not forced into a O Line at 1.20 if they all suck or I get RB Kirk or someone else that looks good. Or if I do grab a O Line but they wind up busting.

Week 2 – Peterman signs with NYG.

Week 3 – Pinkney signs with Chicago

Week 4 – Compton signs with Arizona.

Week 9 – Horner sings with us

I’ll see you at the draft!

Ready?

Picking at the top spot is Denver. They trade to the Jets who take… QB Chad Howe

I’ll see you in 19!

1.20 is here. Who fell?

Shawn Kirk made it!

Here let me show you

Even with Hard to Read…can you pass that up? Even if he busts say 10 or so I don’t think you can ignore the Kirk ing!

I doubt it! I grab Kirk and I’ll see you in 32.

2.20 – I need a WR bad to replace Vila and Compton. Should I take Ken Chaney? Are any of the OCs here? Nope the last of the studs were taken 2.4. Ah well. No fall there. An OG has fallen though, OG Craig Johnston. OG or WR? I need both. I do OG Johnson (OG Gregory Austin looks good too but is greener). (DT Ken Mahoney is very draftable here as well).

3.20 – I really like OT Peyton Voinovich here. I take him. (OT Bryce Belser looks solid as well). They look like growers.

4.20 – SS Roderick Hutchins? Sure! He looks like a grower and is the 2nd S on the board.

5.20 – WR Dakota Lustyk? WLB Francisco Czech? (I need a WR) Lustyk looks like a strong grower too.

6.20 – Hmmm…who do I like here? MLB Jerome Bradford? Yup!

7.20 – Cb Gary Anderson? Done

Rookie Lookie #1

1.20 – RB Shawn Kirk, Southern Illinois, 54/81
2.20 - OG Craig Johnston, USC, 26/62
3.20 – OT Peyton Voinovich, Arizona State, 26/48
4.20 – SS Roderick Hutchins, Boston College, 28/48
5.20 – WR Dakota Lustyk, Southwest State Minn, 26/38
6.20 – MLB Jerome Bradford, Alcorn State, 15/48
7.20 – CB Gary Anderson, Buffalo, 18/53

In Kirk we trust!

6.20 – MLB Jerome Bradford, Alcorn State, 15/48; 20/48

I hand out rests and massage my depth chart. We’ll start my top three picks. I hand out a ton of spaces to Kirk and I give him my 4th Wr and my 3rd in a few places as I have lost Compton and Vila but we haven’t brought in depth in WR as the last few classes were weak at the picks.

I move last year’s 6.28 pick MLB Willis to WILB and we’ll start him over Butler who has dropped a bit.

Week 2 – At Miami – Hello old friend! We win 25-6

Week 3 – LA Chargers – We thump them 44-20. Nasty.

Week 4 – At NY Jets – We win 20-17

Week 5 – Las Vegas – We win 33-17

We finish 4-0! Have we gotten our mojo back with Kirk?

Rookie Lookie #3

1.20 – RB Shawn Kirk, Southern Illinois, 54/81; 59/81; 58/78
2.20 - OG Craig Johnston, USC, 26/62; 30/65; 34/74
3.20 – OT Peyton Voinovich, Arizona State, 26/48; 28/52; 31/51
4.20 – SS Roderick Hutchins, Boston College, 28/48; 33/49; 38/78
5.20 – WR Dakota Lustyk, Southwest State Minn, 26/38; 28/38; 30/39
6.20 – MLB Jerome Bradford, Alcorn State, 15/48; 20/48; 20/47
7.20 – CB Gary Anderson, Buffalo, 18/53; 22/49; 21/51

Hello Johnston! I took him as a shower and he grew! 62 at the 2.20 spot for a O Line is about expected, right? But Johnston, if he develops, will be the best OG I’ve had with the Bucs! Voinovich did not boom like I hoped, so the grower didn’t grow and the shower did. Football is weird. I move Hymes to start again. I was hoping to cut his cap but that won’t happen. Hutchins grew as expected and I now have THREE Safeties with a 70+ potential. Not bad right? Right! I move Hutchins to CB and we’ll start him for Parsley, and then I’ll move Parsley to my nickel and Boyd to dimeback. Like Voinovich, Lustyk didn’t grow either…

UFAs

TE Malachi Barber, 17/42; 19/40; 18/36
CB Chance Marshall, 18/49; 22/49; 22/48
DT Curtis Meechan, 14/54; 20/53; 19/44
DT Leroy Zaiser, 25/49; 27/49; 27/46

Everyone here fell!

I cut these players to get from 60 to 53

OG Axel Palmer

OG Raymond Coffey – He dropped to 48/48 and I cut him – we’ll start OG Shelby

RB Jack Winslett
CB Chance Marshall
TE Malachi Barber
SILB Wayne Dotson
FS Darren Arpaijian

I have 24 mill in cash. Anyone I wanna extend?

I extend…

K Poston

I do not extend these pricey people:

DE Schneider
SILB Carney
S Boyd

I have 20 mill left now.

Anyone with 2 years left I wanna resign?

Arellano wants 87 mill over 4 years, just two year extension no thanks

Parsley wants more than 100 mill for 5 years and dropped to 56/56. Nope. If I’m spending that cash it’s for Moyad, Hutchins or Arellano.

Rookies?

Here’s my stud Kirk. As you can see he has no real weaknesses, but his worst area is 54/59 third down catching. He’s fast and powerful.

Here’s my OG

I wish that Johnston was better at the KRB, but beggars can’t be choosy, right? Right!

On The Green Page, I have…

Kirk at the top spot! Hutchins is there as well.

Rookie Investigation

At RB, Kirk is the best. The next best is 52/66

This was a top heavy draft for WRs, with a lot of talent in the first round, but little elsewhere. 5 have a pot of 60 or more, all first rounders, and just 2 in the 50s.

All three stud OCs drafted are nasty good.

After booming, Johnston is the 2ndbest OG in the draft after a 39/76. The 3rd best OG in the draft was on the board at 2.20 and we were considering him and he wound up 34/71, so he wasn’t bad either.

At OT< Voinovich is 6th best. The top is a studly 54/83

At LB Bradford isn’t anywhere near the top 15, clocking in at 16th best.

At dback, Hutchins is tied for 2nd best. The top is just 41/74 and barely better than his 72 pot.

The 2052 NFL Super Bowl

Your AFC Champion #1 Seed 12-4 Cincinnati Bengals

Vs

Your NFC Champion #1 Seed 12-3-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Can we win or first Bowl in year 8?

Let’s find out!

Results

30-10

Kirk, MVP, 31 of 146, 1 score
Abrams, 23 of 36, 232 and 1:0
Kirk catch score

FF by Carney
Fumrec for score by Cleghorn.

7 KRB by Macias

We win!

Now here’s the question….

Did I win the quinfecta? I won’t look yet.

The quadfecta is when you win these four awards in the same year

Super Bowl MVP
League MVP
Off. Player of the Year
All-Pro

If a rookie gets it, then they can add in Off. Rookie of the Year and notch 5 awards. I’ve only had TWO Quinfectas in my history.

You saw how good Kirk was in a few games this year. Was it enough?

Let’s find out…

Super Bowl MVP – RB Shawn Kirk

Def. Player of the Year – SLB Rex Madison
Off. Rookie of the Year – RB Shawn Kirk

All-Pro 1st Team

RB Shawn Kirk
OC Chandler Macias
SLB Rex Madison
CB Zach Foreman

K Ricky Poston
DT Emmitt Morton

Those are Kirk’s first All Pro, Macias’s 2nd, Foreman’s 2nd, Poston’s 3rd, Madison’s 4th, and Morton’s 1st.

Pretty good stuff!

Sad about the lack of a quinfecta for Kirk though…

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Abrams – 325 of 558, 3436, 22:11, 81.2

We gotta get this guy back to form!

Rushing

RB Kirk – 377 for 1545, 4.10 ypc, 12 rush scores

Kirk was 1st in yards and tied for 2nd in scores. In 2nd yards was 1414 so he had more than 125 more yards. Great job!

Receiving

This was an embarrisngly bad year at QB and WR. Riley led my team in rec. yards and grabs! Where was Cleghorn?

Blocking

Macias had a great year in KRB, %, 3 pancakes and only 3 sacks allowed. Rookie Johnston was back of my line in KRB, but his % wasn’t out of line and he only allowed 2 sacks on the year. He has a solid year to build on. Shelby’s first year starting was fine, with my 3rd best %, and 4 sacks allowed for the guy.

Special Teams

K Poston – 42 of 47, Long of 56, 38 of 38 PAT

Perfect score in Pat, and missed 5 FGs. Good job!

P Bruce – 99 punts, 46.1 avg, 29 in 20

That’s his best avg ever for us

We had zero returns for scores

Nemecheck with 26 tackles on special teams.

Defensive

Madison a down year in tackles, 10 fewer than last year, and only 6 sacks, 5 fewer than last year, but he was still studly. 9.5 sacks by Moyad who led my team, and 6.5 by NT Morton which got him an All Pro. Note Moyad’s nasty 40 hurries which was….2nd in the league. Arellano and Kempthorne led my team with 3 FF

Pass Coverage

We had a lot more pasdef this year than previously. And a solid number of picks. Madison with 12 pasdef and his 5 picks led my team. 4 picks each by Foreman and Kempthorne. Good stuff!

I end the season. I score a… 48…

The 2053 Offseason

Hall of Fame

No Abe’s Boys

Retirements of Note

None on Our Team

Others of Note –

QB Wayne Pritchett – Our starting QB for the Panthers with 4 Rings, 2 Super Bowl MVPs, but just one All Pro. Will he make it due to the winning ness of the career to the HOF?

Te Carter Flynn – A key TE for the Panthers and then played with the Bucs a few years. Just 2 rings and one All Pro. Probably not HOF.

OG Raymond Coffey – Picked up us in the 4th round of the 2046 draft, he is retiring young at 29…

LB Vernon Carpenter – Played by the Panthers and drafted in the 6th round, then got a career renaissance in our 3-4. 1 All Pro with us, 2 Rings

Staff Draft

I resign my AC

I make no changes to my staff

I have 7 players that are UFAs and the only two worthy of a tag are DE Schneider and LB Carney. I do have 40 mill free for a tag, but I’ll not tag anyone and we’ll let both go.

FA time!

The 2053 NFL FA Period #1

I sign my 3 RFAs. I have 46 under contract.

These are my UFAs

DE Schneider
SILB Carney
WILB Butler
FS Boyd
RB Patterson
TE Benson
CB Fletcher

I may resign some if they are cheap.

Who do I have coming free that I want to resign and what do they want?

WLB Arellano – 57 mill, 3 years, increase of 12 mill this
SS Kempthorne – 72 mill, 4 years, Drop of 4 mill this year
OT Hymes – 9th year vet, 44 mill, 3 years, 1.5 mill increase
OC Macias – 7th year vet, 53 mill, 3 years, 4 mill drop
WLB Adams – 12 mill, 3 years
CB Parsley – 52 mill, 4 years

I feel like Parsley is good money tossed away. I sign Kempthrone and Macias as they drop my cap and are All Pros. I’ll hold off on Homes, Adams, and Arellano until post draft

I review the draft for the 1.32 pick - I interview players that might fall there at various spots.

Anyone I wanna chase in FA?

OG Peterman is free again but I doubt I’ll chase him. Well, he’s better than Shelby. Is he cheap? 30 mill for 3 years? Not really. I’ll pass him by

Schneider is only 18 mill for 3 years, pretty cheap for a 60/60 DE. But my plan is to start Lemons unless I find someone better at DE in the draft.

Carney is way too expensive at 60 mill for three years.

I make an offer for Boyd, since he’ll be my 3rd best S and CB and I’m not bringing back Parsley. I offer Boyd 15 mill for 3 years.

Week 2 - Carney signs with Minnesota

Week 3 – Schneider signs with Denver; Peterman with Raleigh

Week 7 – Boyd signs with us; Butler with New England

Week 8 – Patterson signs with SF

Week 11 – Fletcher signs with LV

Week 12 – Benson signs with Miami

I’m feeling a bit of a draft right now!

The 2053 NFL Amateur Draft

Cincinnati has the 1.1 pick and they grab… QB Noah Grier from Hawaii. Good luck!

I speed to the 1.32 pick. Who fell to us?

The top 5 players on the board are DEs. Is one going to be my new Moyad? I haven’t interviewed any.

OG Rodrick Iwuoma, even bars, As Scouted.
MLB Levi Conover, okay bars not great, Very Underrated
DT Amari McGovern – He looks pretty good on the combines and could be a solid grower, no interview .
DE Cooper Cochrane – The best DE on the board by bars, 2nd best overall

My last 4 back of the 1st round picks have gotten four straight Rookie of the Year Awards from Madison, Arellano, Moyad and Kirk. Will any of these follow?

I am committing to D Line. Hmmm…………. I get good 60s size Des regularly later in the draft, let’s go DT McGovern the first non-DE on the board and looks like a grower.

Here’s my guy. He sucks at coverage and is only okay in things like run d and pass rush t, but looks good elsewhere.

2.32 – OT Steven Hanson? Is DE Devon Heilprin on the board? DE Grady Springer? I grab Heilprin.

3.32 – WR Louis Fairfield? SILB Amos Lai? We need WR badly so I go with Fairfield.

4.32 – OG Eric Pingeton? Yup!

5.32 – How about WR Emmitt Rombach? I need more WRs of quality so I do it. He looks like a grower.

6.32 – Hmmm… I need a 3rd TE. How about the best on the board TE Shaun Van Nus? He might have a bit of a grower in him as well.

7.32 – How about CB Maxwell Richmond the top CB on the board? Or CB Bert Fannon? Or MLB Shaun Hastings? RB Daniel Harrison? I do Harrison.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.32 – DT Amari McGovern, Tennessee, 54/67,
2.32 – DE Devon Heilprin, Villanova, 36/74
3.32 – WR Luis Fairfield, Tulane, 25/56
4.32 – OG Eric Pingeton, South Carolina, 25/54
5.32 – WR Emmitt Rombach, Arkansas, 25/47
6.32 – TE Shaun Van Nus, Mississippi State, 25/44
7.32 – RB Daniel Harrison, Charleston Southern, 36/47

There you are! This was a deep D Line draft and I grabbed two, so my hope is that McGovern grows and Heilprin stays and we emerged with two solid D line folks from a deep draft.
