The 2072 NFL Amateur Draft

Picking first is…Cincinnati. They take…(my guess is RB Levon Greenburg, the 2nd best player in the draft at any position)…nope, they go WR. Levon Greenburg goes #3 to Seattle

The 1.28 arrives…who do I like here?

C Carlton Darby – As Scouted, the top OC that was very underrated went 1.14 to LA Rams.
OG Donnie Fitzgerald – 2nd best player on the board, Hard to Read, has a poor str, great everywhere else.
MLB Rickey Young – As Scouted, solid but not spectacular, might replace Ingram next year.

All of the DBs I interviewed are off the board.

Wanna see Darby?

Here you go! He’s strong at everything! He’s As Scouted. He should be a solid grab…but do I grab him?

I grab him.

2.28 – Who do I like here? RB Cristian Swager looks good and could be my new Starks. No TEs were taken in the 1st but a few good ones are left. I need a good one after letting mine go in UFA. TE Ian Ellison looks nice. I go Swager, he looks like a grower…

3.28 – OG Rod Kosteva? Did RT Kody Davidson fall to me, I really liked him and I’d like to come out of this draft with an OT that I can start if needed. I grab Davidson.

4.28 – DE Bucky Polk? SS Ian Knight? Hmmm…..I need d back more but Polk looks better… I grab Polk, he’s the BAP.

5.28 - SILB Thurman Burgess looks nice. I take him? Sure!

6.28 – QB Efrain Curtis? I love how good he looks. He’s a shower not a grower… I take him I need a better backup QB especially since Maumau is aging and thus more likely for the injury.

7.28 – How about….CB Paul Bowman? He looks like a grower…

The 2072 NFL Preseason

I start Darby, Davison and England at LT.

I cut Cathey now to give him time to not drop in Preseason

I move Freestone to CB and he booms to 56/67 and I’ll start him in Ferguson’s spot as he dropped to 44/44. Ferguson will be my nickel.

Week 2 – At KC – We lose 28-31

Week 3 – Miami – We with 37-3

Week 4 – At LV – We shut them out 33-0

Week 5 – Ny Jets – We win 23-17.

We are 3-1

Rookie Lookie #3

1.28 – C Carlton Darby, New Mexico, 28/74; 34/73; 34/71
2.28 – RB Christian Swager, Washington, 41/49; 43/49, 50/63
3.28 – OT Kody Davidson, Washington State, 27/55; 32/59, 34/64

7.28 – CB Paul Bowman, South Carolina, 22/42; 26/43; 28/48

Darby dropped a bit. Sad. Swager boomed as I thought! Davidson grew, which is nice… Polk just grew nicely! As did Burgess.

But this draft is all about the shower who boomed….wow Curtis! Is Curtis going to be my Maumau in a few years? Is Swager going to be my Grogg as he drops? He dropped to 62/62 from 68/68 last year. Good stuff!

UFAs

TE DeAndre Bowens, 28/45; 32/45; 31/45
WR Austin Rabe, 20/47; 24/47; 24/43
WR Conner Ridgeway, 21/47; 24/45; 25/46

I don’t have money for extensions I only have 5.7 mill for new players and I want to hold that for injury stuff.

Let’s look at my rookies!

Here’s Darby after a bit of a bust. Two Cs drafted after Darby are better than him. Ah well, he’s fine. Not major issues with him save that that only ok run blocking.

Here’s Swager! As you can see he’s okay running and less than okay catching save for 3rd down. I like where he wound up and could see him carrying the brick if needed in a couple of years.

Here’s Davidson for you! As you can see…he’s alright after booming in camp and preseason. He’s also fine as my starter at OT. He’s well rounded, which you want for a, OT that’s blocking less and getting the stud DEs.

Now let’s show you who you really want to see…

This is Tom Brady…..er…..I mean Efrain Curtis (note the round drafted). Dude looks good! If he grows into a solid starter he could be my new starter after Maumau drops in a few years, as he’s an 8th year vet. He’ll also be ideal injury or 4th quarter relief for Maumau. He’s also 4 pot better than Maumau…

The Green Page?

Curtis #1, Polk, Swager and Davidson all on it!

Rookie Investigation

QB – Curtis is the best. We have one with 54 and that’s it

RB – We have a 76 hoss, a 66 pot and 64 pot and Swager at 63 is 4th. Then 6 in the 50s

FB – 2 in the 50s

TE – 68, 3 50s. The one I was looking at with the 2.28 spot busted to 42 pot, so that was a nice miss.

WR – 2 in 70s, 3 in 60s, 8 in 50s. A pretty deep crop. Our UFAs didn’t hit 50 pot, but they are both good returners to replace Robinson, Cathey and Starks.

Ridgeway – 43/59 PR; 30/43 KR
Rabe – 45/56 PR, 39/49 KR

They aren’t amazing like Starks/Robinson, but I cannot afford the latter and the former is too old.

OC - Darby was the 2nd OC taken and the 4th best one in the draft…. 1 80s, 3 70s, the 83 one was on the board when we drafted Darby and that was a missed opportunity…

OG – 92, 85, 70, 5 60s, 8 50s. This was a top heavy draft. The first two were not on the board at 1.28, but the third wasn’t taken until 1.31 so we could have walked away with a stud OG.

OT – 4 60s, 4 50s. Very similar. Davidson is tied for 3rd best OT in the draft

DLine – After booming DE Polk’s 72 pot in the 3rd best in the draft. 4 70s, 6 60s, 4 50s. That’s a palindrome of talent.

LB – 2 70s, 3 60s, 5 50s, light LB corps, Burgess was 5th best.

DB – 73, 67, 9 50s. Not a great draft for DBs.

Good stuff!

The 2072 Regular Season

I predict another 14-2 season. We didn’t win back to back Super Bowls…sad…will we make up for it by winning this year?

I’ll skip the covers as I think the point was made last season.

Week 1 – NY – Ready for the first game? We win 29-9. MVP is Maumau, 20 of 27, 248, 2:1, scores by Robison and Skudris, picks by Carr and Phelan, 2 FF by Dorn, Fum Rec score by Hudson, 2 sacks by Dorn,

Week 2 - At Baltimore – We win 23-10. MVP is Freestone with pick six, another pick six by Ferguson, Maumau, 13 of 18, 118, FF by Carr and Dorn, rec by Dorn and Hudson, 4 pasdef by Carr,

Week 3 – At Arizona – We barely win 25-24. MVP is Maumau with 31 of 47, 336 and 1:0, Skudris 7 for 101, Robinson the score, Di Pietro 6 for 6 in FGs

Week 4 – At Carolina – Hello old friends and the only team in the dynasty I’ve gone 19-0 with! We win 23-14. Maumau, MVP, 25 of 33, 233, Grogg rush score, pick six by Phelan.

Well we don’t have the juggernaut nasty wins of last year, but we are 4-0 so I’ll take it!

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Maumau – 339 of 510, 3932, 23:7, 98.8

A big down year for our Maumau from last year’s high! But he was fine!

Rushing

RB Grogg – 395 for 1291, 3.27 ypc, 9 scores
QB Maumau – 68 for 449, 4 scores

Grogg was barely 2nd in yards, and 4th in TDs.

Receiving

Another down year for Skudris. Prior led my team in grabs, but Skudris yards and they tied with 7 TDs each. This was a horrible year catching for Grogg and Robinson. Only Rose was up and he was pretty nice!

Blocking

Let me ask you a serious question…is this the worst year blocking I’ve ever had? No one hit 30 KRBs. Horrible %? Big sack numbers? This wasn’t good…

Special Teams

K Di Pietro – 33 of 37, Long of 48, 42 of 43

Just 4 missed FGs and one missed PAT? Great job!

P Ellison – 103 punts, 45.0 avg, 37 in 20

Ellison was just okay this year…

Returns – Robinson – 2 KR RET TDs!

Phelan led my team with 22 special teams tackles…

Defensive

Carr led my team in tackles with 106, which was nice. Dorn led my team with a lower sack amount but he still got All Pro which I care about. Hudson grabbed 8.5 sacks and was 2nd on the team. Russell just 5.5 needs to step it up. Spencer just 4.5 needs to do likewise… With 5 FF, Dorn led my team.

Pass Coverage

Carr led my team in picks and pasdef and had a strong year in the coverage. Uribe was 2nd in pasdef with 14 and Ferguson and Phelan were 2nd in picks with 3 each. Good stuff lads!

Special Teams Player of the Year – K Marty Di Pietro – He only missed 4 kicks and one PAT all year long! Good stuff Di Pietro!

The 2073 NFL FA Period #1

We draft 32nd and I interview 8 DBacks and others to see what I can find there. There are many studs but I doubt a Carr will fall to us. Again…

Here’s my roster and cap situation. As you can see, a few of my players have moved – Poock dropped as did Kristosik. I cannot extend anyone or sign my RFAs until I free up cash

I have two folks I’ll cut to do that. I cut QB Roque, and DE Russell. I’ll start my rookie stud at DE this year and save the Russell cash. Just one Al Pro in 5th years? I saved more than 40 mill with those moves

I sign my RFAs except for C Rabe, my P, K, and LS.

I have 35 mill for new players after those transactions

Now who do I want to extend?

Kristosik is on hold until post draft as he’s never been that good for picking.

Ditto Mauriello and Fowler that could be replaced. I do extend Poock for 26 mill 3 years.

England wants a massive 93 mill, 5 years, we’ll hold off.

Actually Fowler only wants 18 mill for 3 years so I do it.

Do I want to chase any of my UFAs? Nope the two I’d be happy to bring back in Ingram and Robinson are too pricey.

Week 5 – Robinson to Buffalo; Ingram to New England

Week 7 – Jackson to New Orleans

Week 10 – Dunlap to Portland

Week 11 – Starks to Seattle; Lowe to Richmond

See at the draft!

The 2073 NFL Amateur Draft

Picking first is Chicago and my guess is they’ll select stud QB Gino Gray and…they do so! I’ll see you in 31

Who do I like at 1.32?

All of my DBs are off the board, as are all of the O Line I targeted…crazy…

OC Emmitt Marek – Stud OC, I don’t need one so no interviews, top player on the board.
WLB Jon Alston – 5th best player and top OLB on the board. Looks pretty good. I wasn’t targeting LB here but with Ingram leaving I do have an open spot in the middle.
OG Eric Shaw – Top OG on the board, not great in run blocking
DE John Dennis – Holy…crap…you wanna replace Russell? 3rd DE on the board but looks nasty good.

Here is Alston and Dennis

Here is Alston, and as you can see, the dude looks pretty good right? Right! Not great at pass rush, but sexy elsewhere, would be a good ILB in a 3-4. '

Here’s the great Dennis as well! So who would you go for?

Dennis is better but Alston is more of a need so I grab Alston…

2.32 – How about SS J.J. Mapes? TE Richard Lester? OG Orlando Morrison? I do Mapes. I like his picking.

3.32 – Hmmmmmmmm….who do I like here? OG Rob Gonzalez looks fine. I grab him.

4.32 – WR Nate Cooper? He looks like a grower… Sorry he was taken right before me by Baltimore… I take the BAP WLB Isaac Adams.

5.32 – ILB Jon Shepherd?

6.32 – How about OC Grant Reese? He seems to have fallen and I need a backup OC.

7.32 – Who moves me? How about RB Abel Fuller? He looks like a grower.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.32 – WLB Jon Alston, Stanford, 31/71
2.32 - SS JJ Mapes, Houston, 29/63
3.32 - OG Rob Gonzalez, Auburn, 22/51
4.32 – WLB Isaac Adams, Bethune Cookman, 23/56
5.32 - ILB Jon Shepherd, Mississippi, 26/55
6.32 – OC Grant Reese, Brigham Young, 28/71
7.32 – RB Abel Fuller, Washington State, 32/43

There we go!

Grogg has dropped to 58/58. Who am I starting at RB? Let’s look!

Here’s Grogg

Here’s Swager. Grogg is better at speed, power inside, hole, speed to outside, and pickup. Overall he is the better runner so I’ll keep him in at my starter this year.

Extensions!

I extend…

Mauriello
England
Kristosik

Uribe who has 2 years left and an All Pro.

And that’s hit!

Rookies?

Another LB bust… I pulled him and won’t start him at SILB anymore I handed it to Burgess.

Another key bust. I was hoping that Mapes would be my new Kristosik and I wouldn’t have to resign him, but that’s not happening now…

Rookie Investigation

QB – This was a two QB draft with one 73 and another 68 and none at 50+.

RB – 1 60s, 5 50s, and Abel is one in the 50+ area!

FB – 1 50

TE – 1 50

WR – 61, 5 50s

Wow for skill positions this draft!

C – Marek, on the board, wound up 52/85, top OC. Another two in the 70s, and ours is the 3rd best

OG – 2 70s; 3 60s; 11 50s

OT – 80, 62, 7 50s

DL – Dennis whom we were looking at wound up with a 79 pot! Man I should have grabbed him. 84, 3 70s, 6 60s, 9 50s

LB – 2 70s, the best LB was on the board when we grabbed Alston and was a 77 pot… that makes the Alston pick twice as bad. 1 60, 7 50s

DB – 1 80, 4 70s, 4 60s, 7 50s This was a deep draft but we wound up with a bust, which was a missed opportunity…

Ah well…

Week 2 – LA Chargers – We lose 20-24. Maumau, 16 of 30, 194, 2:0, 2 scores by Skudris, quiet loss no tos, or major events. No injuries though.

Week 3 – Tampa Bay – We win a shootout 35-31. Grogg 18 for 101 and 1 score, Maumau and Curtis split scores after Maumau reinjured himself, we were 2:0 on the day, 2 scores by Skudris, pick sick by LB Lash,

Week 4 – Detroit – We win 30-13. MVP is Maumau, 20 of 28, 302, 2:0, scores by Swager and Prior, Maumau a rush score, pick by Uribe,

Maumau is healthy

We are 3-1!

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Maumau – 293 of 464, 3557, 20:5, 96.5 rating

With his injuries? Understandable!

Rushing

RB Grogg – 343 of 1420, 4.14 ypc, 13 scores
QB Maumau – 62 for 427, 6 scores

Grogg was 3rd in yards and 1st in scores. Maumau had a big score season rushing that ball.

Receiving

As you can see Skudris led my team in everything this year, and he was 6th in yards and 2nd in scores. Not sure why he got All Pro. Prior has had better years but I ain;t turning away a long overdue All pro. See how good Rose was this year? More yards that Grogg, and 2 scores too. I can’t ever recall a FB with a 500+ yard season!

Blocking

Our Blocking is back! 3 with 30+ KRB seasons, much better block 5, an All Pro with 43 KRB and 8 pancakes, good stuff team!

Special Teams

K Di Pietro – 40 of 46, Long of 51, 44 of 45 PAT

Another solid season by my K!

P Ellison – 77 punts, 45.9 avg, 32 in 20

Meh

0 RET for TDs – expected without Starks and Robinson…

Carr led my team 2ith 21 special teams tackles

Defensive

Carr also led my team with 106 tackles and added a sack! 13.5 studly sacks for Dorn was the league leader by a half sack! Good stuff! Spencer finally came into his own, and his 10.5 sacks were 6th most in the league for any position and top among DTs! Nasty stuff Spencer! Uribe another All Pro and the 3rd year pro grabbed me 8.5 sacks and that 3rd on my team, and he had the most sacks in the league for LBs! Sophomore DE Polk’s 7.0 sacks in his first starting season is fine, although for a guy in his 70s I’d like to see more. But I’m fine with it for now. Hudson’s sack number was way too low at 2.5! Nasty year for sacks! Did you notice that CB Freestone netted two sacks? Uribe led my team in 4 FF

Pass Coverage

This was a very down year for us in picks… where was Carr? Rookie nickelback Mapes rocked 2 picks and 5 pasdef.

Staff Draft

We make no changes to our staff. We missed out on a much better HC, DC and OC, but no changes to winning football teams.

We are 16 mill over the cap and I need 36 mill for new players, so we will not need a franchise tag. I have 5 UFAs heading into FA Period #1

Ready?

We are drafting 1.28. We need more dbacks after Mapes busted, as well as a stud LB if there’s one out there for consideration and some improved O Lineery at OT. As well as a 3rd WR. I do some interviews hoping…

Alright, time to look at my roster

Here are my last year deals of note and my cap situation….

The easiest way for me to deal with this cap is to cut Grogg and start Swager. I cut the old man and save 31 mill, which almost gets me home.

I extend Rose and Skudris… because Skudris dropped in ability he’ll sign for a 20 mill cut this year and a much safer cap hit next year, and I freed up a half mill with Rose. Now I have 16.3 mill for new players and I sign my RFAs. I do not extend my RFA TEs that are really bad. Or CB Carter.

I have 10.8 mill after my RFAS join us and we have 44 on my roster.

I extend Hudson and save 10 mill. I extend Prior by another year.

I want to extend Spencer, Blanchard and Freestone, but two are going to hold off and the other is too much for my budget right now. I’ll wait until post draft to see where we wind up…

Week 6 – DT Atkins signs with Chicago

Week 7 – Grogg heads to Detroit.

Week 11 – MLB Grant heads to Jacksonville; DT Oliver to Tampa Bay

Draft?

The 2074 NFL Amateur Draft

Picking first are the NE Pats, and my guess is they’ll grab… CB Nicky Wolfe an absolute stud and the best player in the draft and…got it! That’s who they went with! Now let’s head 27 picks…

The 1.28 arrives. Who do I like here?

FB Monty May – Stud, As Scouted, top player on the board. If I hadn’t signed Rose… could I take him, convert to a TE, and then have a 2nd strong TE?
C Timothy Randle – 2nd best player on the board, stud OC – I have two studs on my roster at that spot
TE Warren Roberts – 4th best player on the board, okay, not great, poor blocking
DE Tim Cleland – 5th best player on the board, okay bars not as good as last year’s DE here.
MLB Zachery Andersen – 6th best player, good bars, As Scouted
OT Everett Compton – Top OT on the board, Hard to Read
SS Billy Neil – Top S on the board, very underrated

There’s a lot of qualified players there! Let’s look at four….

Here’s Neill. He’s bars are okay for a 2nd round DB,but very underrated makes me more interested in him than normal, right?

Here’s the run blocking stud OT Compton, who looks good, and is Hard to Read. Underrated? Very? Even As Scouted, I’d lean more here, but he still looks good in the bars.

Here’s the stud-ish Andersen. He’s pretty good looking and As Scouted. Worst at pass rush. He’s a solid MLB who I could easily move inside alongside of Fowler.

And finally, here’s the May of Monty Bay. He’s a strong FB that is As Scouted that I could move to TE and replace Prior when he retires, as Prior is in his 10th year and 33 years old and could retire anytime, so getting a FB into TE now could develop for a year or two and then replace Prior when he heads out. I also need to come away with a TE or two from this draft and UFA area, so May would help with that.

I like them all! Which one would you do?

Most need

Current 4th DB – Phelan, 61/61 or 66/66 Freestone if I cannot sign him.

TE – Prior, 70/70

SILB Burgess – 52/63

OT 60/63 Kody Davidson

All are in the low 60s save for Prior, but he’ll drop soon,

Who would you take?????????????????????

I don’t know, let me think about it….

We have a great surfeit of options here at the 1.28!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm…

There are also reasons against each of these players

OT? Hard to Read – best bars, biggest gamble

SS? Poor bars for 1.28, very underrated might not mean much. Bigger gamble

MLB? Worst position of need, although we are a 3-4.

FB/TE – Lowest need of the four, as we have studs at both, although I could do the FB into TE and then grow him as my #2 TE.

The SS would let me not spend 100+ on Freestone this year… it’s the best salary cap pick. (Or I could cut Phelan and sign Freestone who’s younger and better). The FB/TE is probably too early for that when I have other options…

I want to take SS, because it’s the best salary cap decision. And if he grows? He could really be worth it! But that’s too much of a risk given the low starting point. If Compton were As Scouted or better I’d take him. But Hard to read is too much of a risk… so instead, let’s go for less risk, and better bars with May or Andersen…

Hmmm…

Actually…have I talked myself into Compton? Even if he busts he’s still strong….

Let’s take a risk on Compton.

2.28 – Who fell? Who do I like here? DT Nickolas Sinclair? I need a 2nd DT. Is Andersen still on the board? Is TE Benjamin Shannon still on the board? Nope they just went WR Maurice Hudson is a reach but he’s okay. I go Hudson. I go reach over the better player as the WRs aren't that good in this draft.

3.28 – FB Jason Pearson? There’s another stud FB that fell here. Could I grab him? Is WR Jessie Bruce still on the board? I go FB, want to see him?

This guy is still on the board!

4.28 – DE Camden Wolf? CB Ivan Clinton? I do Clinton. He looks like a grower.

5.28 - OG Santiago McCollam looks like a solid option and another grower.

6.28 – SILB Hayden Clemons?

7.28 – TE Victor Hill? He looks like a grower as well.

I move Pearson to TE

Rookie Lookie #1

1.28 – OT Everett Compton, Jackson State, 28/75
2.28 – WR Maurice Hudson, Kentucky, 27/57
3.28 – TE Jason Pearson, Charleston Southern, 34/70
4.28 – CB Ivan Clinton, California, 54/63
5.28 – OG Santiago McCollam, WVU BABAY!!!!!!!!!!!!, 23/58
6.28 – SILB Hayden Clemons, Kent State, 18/55
7.28 – TE Victor Hill, East Carolina, 23/42

There you go!!!!!!

Two years ago when we were picking .28 we had an amazing draft, and I hope this one will do the same.

I hand out 8 deactives and make my depth chart. I start Compton, Hudson at 3rd WR, Pearson at #2 TE, Clinton at CB, McCollam at OG to give them all experience.

If Compton holds I can cut OT England and save some cash.

Clinton is a stud at PR and he’ll start there

Week 2 – Jacksonville – We win 24-10

Week 3 – At Baltimore – We win 33-17

Week 4 – Houston – We win 20-3

Week 5 – At Cleveland – We win 44-24.

We go 4-0 in the preseason

Rookie Lookie #3

1.28 – OT Everett Compton, Jackson State, 28/75; 32/75; 34/69
2.28 – WR Maurice Hudson, Kentucky, 27/57; 31/57; 33/58
3.28 – TE Jason Pearson, Charleston Southern, 34/70; 39/71; 39/69
4.28 – CB Ivan Clinton, California, 54/63; 62/66; 68/77
5.28 – OG Santiago McCollam, WVU BABAY!!!!!!!!!!!!, 23/58, 27/60; 31/68
6.28 – SILB Hayden Clemons, Kent State, 18/55; 23/53; 23/58
7.28 – TE Victor Hill, East Carolina, 23/42; 27/42; 29/49

Compton a bust, which is sad but not unexpected with the Hard to Read factor. Hudson and Pearson mostly stayed the same. Hello Clinton! Nasty! McCollam a big boom. Clemons bounced back. Hill rose as expected although not as much as I did so. Not bad, despite the fall of Compton.

UFAs

MLB Alexis Ricketts, 23/56; 28/51; 28/49
DT Ike Malone, 31/50; 33/49; 33/46
DE Freddie Zeigler, 16/44; 21/43; 19/37

I cut WR Victor Gornitsky

Starters?

What do I do with McCollam?

McCollam – Run blocking – 26/89; pass block, 14/48; str, 42, 70/88 end

Mauriello – Run – 79, pass – 40, str 68, end 48

Poock – Run - 83, pass 77, str 33, end 38

McCollam has a better run blocking and pass block than Mauriello and worse str. I move over to McCollam and leave Mauriello on the bench which we did during the preseason.

I cut England and save 12 mill on the cap. I sign an undrafted UFA Og named Ben Wolsic, 22/47

We will keep starting McCollam, Clinton, Compton.

Extensions

I want to extend Spencer and… with my freed up money from England I can. I have 9.4 mill left for new players

Rookies!

I’ll skip the 1st rounder you’ve already seen and the FB/TE you saw

Here’s my 2nd rounder Maurice Hudson, a solid 58 pot guy who probably was overpicked, but need forced my hand. He’s streaky and good in some things and horrible in others. He’ll start as my #3 player and then move up to #2 after Blanchard leaves in the offseason since I am too close to the cap to keep him.

Here’s my booming Clinton! He’s studly and good everywhere other than punching hard and to a lesser degree picks. I hope he plays like it! See his PR ability?

On the Green Page? We have… Clinton and Compton.

Rookie Investigation

QB – This was a 1 QB draft with one at 66 pot

RB – 3 60s, 6 50s.

FB – Monty May wound up 68 pot that we were considering in the 1st round. 2 50s.

TE – After moving Pearson to TE, he is the best TE in the draft at 69 pot. One 65, 5 50s

WR – 2 60s, 6 50s. We have the 4th best WR in the draft at 2.28.

OC – The stud on the board at 1/28 wound up 55/86 and being taken in the 3rd round. 2 60s, 3 50s

OG – 80, 5 60s, 4 50s, OG McCollam was 2nd best in the draft.

OT – 80, 74, 70, 69,64, 8 50s. Deep OT draft and Compton was 4th best in the draft. The 2nd best was on the board when we took Compton and that was a bad pick.

D Line – 1 80s, 2 70s, 5 60s, 4 50s.

LB – 1 80, 1 70, 1 60, 12 50s. Andersen wound up 68 and the 3rd best LB in the draft. But grabbing a 68 pot wouldn’t have been worth it, that’s only 5 better than my starter. Clemons in the 7th best LB in the draft.

DB – 3 70s, 5 60s, 3 50s – Very symmetrical numbers. We were 2nd best in the draft at DB

Good stuff!
