roster glitch?

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else...

I'm viewing a roster in the roster editor, and can see certain players. (Playing as the Steelers, guy in question in Verron Haynes).

Yet, when I open a new single player season, he's not on my roster. From what I can tell, he's nowhere in the game...not in the transactions list as being released and/or picked up by another team.

any ideas on why it's happening? or how to correct? Thanks

I just checked the roster I made and he's listed as not being under contract, which means he's probably sitting as a free agent. Just use the roster editor to give him a contract. The NFLPA shows him with a 1 year/$670k contract (I'll update the file too).

That worked...I was pretty sure that he had signed his tender....

I was confused since I could see him in the editor's roster...but in the game, not on the roster, or listed as a free agent.

Thanks for the help. And great work on the roster.

on the readme for your roster it says

"7. Tip: prior to starting a new league, you might want to turn on the option for letting the scout automatically sign players to fill out roster. Otherwise all the decent free agents and rookie free agents will be gone when league is generated and you'll be at a disadvantage in filling your preseason roster. You can turn the option off after the league has been generated."

but your not able to do that before you generate your league.

you can only do that after league is generate in global options. but it already too late because the computer teams have already sign the good free agents.

no, you can set the global options before you start a new league. Just click on the global options icon (looks like a chart with a checkmark) before you select new game.
