He also said in the post if any dynasty started after the 23rd has problems let him know immediately so they can fix it and trouble shoot the new problem...

Does anyone know if teams rotate their in conference schedules? I know that IU does not play Michigan or OSU this year. Wondering if that is the case in future seasons as well.

It's a known bug that team's conference schedules are screwed over. In 2010, the schedule will revert to the 2008 schedule and remain that each year, I believe.

Also, OMT just posted again saying "any dynasty started after the 23rd is fixed."

Edit: He posted that in response to a person asking if it was ok to start an online dynasty or would it be messed up.

Heh. So no Michigan or OSU for me after 2009. I suppose worse things have happened...

wow, if it were up to guys like me we'd have started a bunch of leagues that were screwed up, but glad to see that for the more patient leagues those that waited to start are now being rewarded for not jumping in right away. this makes me happy, and when i get happy, Mr. Perriman wakes up.

i'm sure i don't need to tell you who Mr. Perriman is.

i'm off to start practicing with MSU. the "??" that Kodos listed re: MSU's overall ranking in his updated list kinda scared me, as if MSU has the possibility to be even crappier than IU. oof.

Anyone have suggestions for penalty sliders?

EF27 - you forgot WR catching when you were giving your slider suggestions. Thoughts?

Heh. So I was setting up the RFL, and I get to the end -- of course, it then notifies me that the servers are unavailable. Stupid EA...

Realized that when driving home. I think 0 is the best because it lowers completion percentages some (I imagine some of the dropped passes are really poorly thrown passes.) That still isn't at 2005 drop levels or anything insane like that. However, 15-20 gives the most realistic amount of drops, I believe.

For penalties, I recommend almost everything at 100 except for maybe holding.

So: I'm with HA. Let's roll once we hear that the server patch is finished. I hope folks will still want to play, even if we have to use fake rosters. I don't want to lose people over this, but I'm also willing to go on without a full slate of owners (heck, we only have 11 owners so far anyway).

I'm fine with that as well. To me, I'm more excited about the recruits I bring in than the current players.

I just went into the dynasty, and I cannot wait. I've already work on the non-recruiting stuff. It looks like you have pipelines this year. And it looks like Texas is among the most desirable schools for the top recruits this year.

Just to refresh:

1) Promises increase the interest of a recruit, but if you break it; you'll likely lose credibility and an increase chance of that recruit transferring?

2) Does recruiting (or even signing a player already) multiple players at one position hurt you?

3) What exactly is the impact that a pipeline state brings?

4) Does the preference of the type of players (you can set-up your preferences for the type of quarterback, ect.)?

5) When you bring in a recruit for a visit, does the game/weekend (TV, opponent) matter? Say I'm playing USC, and we are both battling for a 5-star hot shot from Utah. I'm able to bring him for the game against USC. If we win, does it have an impact on both sides?

1. That is my understanding. Also, you won't be able to make certain promises if your credibility drops too low.

2. I think it does slightly. However, your current depth chart seems to be a bigger issue if early playing time is important for the recruit.

3. I don't think anyone knows the exact impact, but general consensus is that it helps get the recruit.

4. Doesn't matter unless you end up using the CPU recruiting.. however, in this type of dynasty, I would certainly take the time to set it in case I miss a week for some reason.

5. I believe it does, but the best bonus for a recruit is supposed to be if you bring them in for a rivalry game and win convincingly.

And games against top 25 teams and games on TV (shouldn't ND be on every week ) are big bonuses as well, when they come in?

TV Exposure can definitely help if it is important to the recruit. I don't think the game models ND's real ife TV deal

Anthony, I downloaded a 3rd down sound for Michigan State that is AWESOME. It's the "Spartans, what is your profession?" sound from 300.

If you offer a player a scholarship first, do you get a boost? What if two teams offer it in the same week?

Probably ripping from a CD is your easiest option on the 360.

You have to rip a cd onto you hard drive and save each song as its own playlist. If you use MP3s you have to convert them to regular cd audio files(.cda) before burning the disc.

Looking at the top 100 recruits in the nation, you certainly have the best hand to play with with the large amount of recruits who have Texas in the top ten.

Cornerbacks seem to be the deepest position in the recruiting trail this year.

i'm completely oblivious as to how to get songs or organzie songs once they're on my harddrive. i put a cd in and hit "rip cd", but i don't see where it is on my harddrive. i'll just google it though. shouldn't be this hard. i didn't see anywhere where i could make a song its own playlist.

I thought the same thing. It is not in the normal XBox Live notifications area. You have to go into the game, and check the Online section (can't remember the exact menu name). Once you are there, you'll see an option to check for Dynasty invites.

The invite doesn't appear on your Xbox automatically. You need to go into the game's online menu, then click on dynasty, then click on "check invites." I'm almost certain that is the process.

Just a FYI, I'll be out of town until Wednesday afternoon/evening. Of course, I'm guessing that other players have games in the first week anyways. Plus, I believe Kodos has to work on the schedules reflecting the new agreements.

Played a guy online that was USC (I was Clemson and won 28-24). Moral of my story is that Eaglesfan27 might roll my UW squad by 60. SO much SPEED for USC. McKnight is flat out scary, even without playing with cheese...

Yeah, McKnight is incredible. I don't want to cheese in this league, yet, USC is going to throw the ball to McKnight in the flat and he is going to burn people this year. I'm just going try not to do any one thing too much, but McKnight is deadly in the game and after watching video of spring practices, I feel confident saying he will be in real life this year, too.

No matter what you do, you won't hear me complain about cheese. IMO, if a player is used similar to how he is in real life, that is legit. USC always throws to their backs ala Bush. No worries at all. I just have to contain him.

you won't hear any complaints of someone being cheezy with me - i think we all are solid enough guys so i don't have a problem with someone from FOFC taking advantage of a strength of their's. i think the difference between us and the Madden Mania joystick jockeys is they just wanna win, whereas we want to win but with some semblence of realism. i don't think i'll be winning many games anyway, my skills have diminished and i'm not aggressive enough on offense. i just want to be able to keep the games competitive.
