Individual Stats:

QB Grady High, 64.5%, 4070 yards, 35:8 ratio, 111.1 Rating.

That is just an amazing season. You cannot doubt it or question it or anything. From every aspect, just a great season. I totally think High should have been NFL MVP over Duffy, and here’s why - No one threw for more yards, no one threw for more Tds, no one had a better QB rating, and no 16 game starter had fewer picks. Only one other 16 game starter has a better %. That is pure dominance.

RB Jake Duffy - 1498 yards, 4.3 ypc (poor), 17 rush TD; 52 catches, 600 yards, 9 rec TD

The rec is why he won, but he did not lead the league in TD and his ypc was woeful.

TE Rick Rivers, 74 grabs, 1098 yards, 8 td
WR Jerry Platt, 70, 1017, 9 TD
WR Roosevelt Beverly, 61, 963, 5 TD.

We came 37 yards away from having the very very rare three WR with 1000+ seasons. Rivers and Platt both had good seasons. Beverly was good in his first season. Rivers had the 7th most rec yards among all receivers in he league as a TE. Platt and Jake Duffy tied for 4th in the league with 9 rectd each. This was a banner year for passing and receiving.

CB Stevenson - 1 KR TD, 6th best KR avg in league
WR Hunter Carlisle - 1 KR TD

K Darrin Maloney - 34 of 39. long of 53.
P Bennie Bridges, 48 of 84 in 20, 41.8 average

Bridges is better than Russell Kelly already.

DE Sam Walden, 18 sacks - led league, 4 blcoks, 5 QB Hurries
DE Dan Covington, 17.5 sacks, 2nd in league behind Sam, 2 blocks, 5 hurries

That is a great, great, great tandem. Covington was obviously robbed of an All Pro.

DT Martin Solymos, 5.5 sacks, 2 and 4.

LB Anthony McKnight, 88 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 blocked pass, 1 pick, 8 pasdef

CB Jim Ackerman, 7 picks, 1 pick TD, 6 pasdef
CB Bob Pearson, 6 picks, 8 pasdef
S Clyde Del Greco, 6 and 7
S Dean Dawkins, 5 and 8

This is the first time in a long time that Both of my corners got All pro in the same year.

OT Will Poston, 25 KRB, 6 sacks allowed
OT Roosevelt Morin, 23 KRB, 4 sacks allowed
OG Steve Coffey, 22 and 3
C Archie Galloway, 13 starts, 21 and 2.
OG Kim Fisk, 17 and 8

A bit worse than last year, but we got younger across the board here. I think Morin getting All pro was weird. I would have been happier seeing DE Covington or S Del Greco getting All Pro over Mori.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: TE Rick Rivers. This was close, QB Grady High came very, very close. However, I’ve had two or three lights out seasons by Qbs before, but this is the best season by a TE I’ve ever had, period.

Defensive Player of the Year: DE Sam Walden. Led the league in sacks, got All Pro after having just 1.5 sacks last year, really rejuvenated his career.

Special Teams Player of the Year: K Darrin Maloney - Finally put all of the pieces together for a great season. Thanks Darrin!

Rookie of the Year: P Bennie Bridges - The Bridges experiment was a success. He had a better average and better punts in 20 average than Kelly had the last several years, and this year as well. This is despite being green in some areas.

Heart Award: QB George Carrell - On several occasions, Carrell had to spell High after he had been dinged. Here are Carrell’s stats: 27 of 45, 347, 2:2, 79.9. These are good stats for a rookie green QB. If High had those 45 passes added to his total, he might have had a record breaking year instead of a really good one.

Free Agency:

I reject some trade deals.

41 player s -me.

I sign Rick Rivers for two more years.

I trade DE Pyle to the Rams for their 3rd rounder next year.

Players in the final year of note:

QB Grady High
CB Jim Ackerman
WR Jerry Platt
OT Roosevelt Morin
DE Dan Covington
FB Courtney Pierce
LB Jason Northcutt
LB Anthony McKnight
S Clyde Del Greco
LB Vincent Newsome

I want to reup - High, Ackerman, Morin, Covington for sure.

I sign Grady High to four more years.

Done. 19 million in cap space left.

Remember< I do not have a 1st in this year’s draft, having traded it for WR Beverly last year, essentially.

I have 1 second, 4 thirds, 2 fourths, 2 fifths, 2 sixths, and a seventh.

I am not getting a starter there.

I need to go in with my starters from last year, with a few exceptions. My BAP drafting has given me strong depth in some areas I could trade the starter and promote the backup. For example, S Clyde Del Greco has played above his skills. At some point, this will end. I could move him, then turn to Dominic Gaylor to start for me for a few years.

Another way to make some cash is to trade Jerry Platt, then resign some other players, using his savings to help. Then I just lean on Beverly. However, Platt has turned in the best season in his career so far - 1017 and 9 TD. That’s good stuff. Do I punish a guy for giving me a career year by trading him?

I resign Jerry Platt for three more years. The new contracts trims 1.5 million off this year’s cap.

I hold off on the others for a few weeks.

I add a year to Dan Covington’s contract.

I trade WR Roger Finley to the Cowboys for their 2nd rounder next year.

I trade S Clyde Del Greco to the Rams for their 4th next year. I like Del Greco, but he’s an overachiever who will likely see his stats fall and I cannot afford him right now.

I sign OT Roosevelt Morin to a four year deal, his first as a professional.

I sign LB Anthony McKnight to a four year professional contract as well.

The Vikings have no QBs on their roster so I trade QB George Carrell to them for their 1st next year. Now they have a starter and I save some money on my cap.

I trade DT Ian Agrawell to the Lone Stars for their 2nd next year.

I still have Jim Ackerman, Courtney Pierce, Jason Northcutt and Vincent Newsome as starters in their final year. Time to move to the draft, and then afterwards, to see what I have.

The 2041 NFL Draft:

Needs:

QB, FB, TE, WRx2, C, OG, OTx2, DEx2, DT, LBx3, CBx2, S

These are all backups, except perhaps at DT, FB, and LB.

Okay, here we go…

What I am going to do is stop the draft at pick 36, just to see what I would have taken, and see if my trade was good.

There is a stud FB in this draft and if he gets to me, I’m taking him.
He went pick 28.

Okay, pick 36 is here. Who would I have taken?

OG Jeffrey Tuaolo, a really high quality player with a run blocking pot of 96.

Okay, let’s go to my pick in the back of round two.

Draft Recap:

2/36 - OG Jeffrey Tuaolo, Arkansas
3/11 - LB Bruce Bertelson, Fairfield
3/12 - CB Deion Kasischke, Purdue
3/35 - C Louie Sasser, Boston College
3/36 - TE Cary Turnbull, Miami (Fl)
4/10 - OT Howie Preston, Arizona
4/36 - WR Bert Battistone, Florida State
5/5 - QB Brian Glenn, Texas
5/36 - RB Rickey Stevenson, Kentucky
6/35 - WR Daniel Welch, UCLA
6/36 - LB Percy Glover, Maryland
7/36 - S Roman Knox, Duke

I trade LB Jason Northcutt to the Cowboys for their 3rd rounder in two years.

I extend Jim Ackerman’s deal by three years.

Okay, camping we will go!

We sold 43,200 season tickets

I laugh off four trade offers for various players of mine.

Let’s look at my rooks:

LB Bruce Bertelson, 20/75
OG Jeffrey Tuaolo, 17/73
QB Brian Glenn, 25/68
OT Howie Preston, 11/64
TE Cary Turnbull, 32/55
CB Deion Kasichke, 9/54
WR Daniel Welch, 20/49
S Roman Knox, 45/45
RB Rickey Stevenson, 27/45
WR Bert Battistone, 40/40
C Louie Sasser, 2/31 - BUST!!!
LB Percy Glover, 26/26

All this year is, is a patch to smooth over my team for a year or two so I can keep my starters I have in place.

I have not moved my WR, TE, FB, RB, QB, O-Line, DE, one DT, CB, P, K, one S, or two of my LB. All I have moved in one DT, one S and one LB.

We finish the preseason 3-1.

My prediction - 14-2, #1 seed.

Week 1 - 52-7 over the Saints. NFL Offensive Player of the Week and MVP is Grady High with 24 of 33, 365, 6:0. He hit Platt twice, Rivers three times and Beverly once for scores. Platt had 125 yards too. Duffy was held to 46 yards. Ackerman with 2 picks. Dawkins and Gaylor each with picks too.

Week 2 - 42-14 over the Panthers. Duffy Game MVP with 26 carries, 109 yards, 3 scores. High hit Owens and Platt for scores. DT Solymos with 2 sacks. No picks. Dwight Stevenson had a 97 yard KO RET TD.

Week 3 - We lose on the road at Pittsburgh 30-27, as they kick a FG with no time on the clock. Grady High is NFL Off Player of the Week and MVP with 26 of 33, 328, 2:0. He hit Rivers 12 times for 140 yards and 2 scores. No picks or sacks. S Hunter O’Rourke had a 20 yard fumble recovery for a score.

Week 4 - We win 45-7 against the Titans and High is again MVP and NFL Offensive Player of the Week with 23 of 36 for 275, and 6:0 again. Rivers and Platt each had a score. Pierce and Beverly each had two. Pick by Ackerman. 2 sacks by Covington, 1.5 by Solymos. Duffy with 120 yards on 18 carries.

That was the 76th pick by Ackerman. If Dave Fling had still held the record at 75 picks, Ackerman would now be the leader. However, as I mentioned before, Berryhill took the record to 80. One current player is at 77 as well.

Week 5 - We lay an egg in Baltimore, 10-28. Ouch. High hit Beverly for a score. Duffy held to 59 yards. Pearson and Walden with picks. Not a good week.

Week 6 - 27-20 over the Jags and we are back to winning. LB Anthony McKnight is Game MVP with 12 solo tackles. No picks, just one sack. Duffy had 93 yards on 18 carries. High hit Duffy, Battistone, and Pierce for scores.

Week 7 - BYE

OG Steve Coffey is questionable but I’ll start him.

Week 8 - We crush the Titans 59-34 on the road. S Dean Dawkins is NFL Def Player of the Week plus MVP and QB Grady High Off Player of the Week. Dawkins had an 85 yard pick and return for a score, and another pick. Gaylor and Pearson with picks too. 2 sacks for Cobb and Walden, 1.5 for Pirrup and Tower. Deon Kasishke had a 87 yard KR RET TD. Duffy - 26 carries, 101 yards, 3 scores. High 18 of 21, 291, 3:0. Owens, Rivers and Battistone with score.s

Two injuries though of severity. Both WR Beverly and DT Plummer are out for a while. Owens will start in Beverly’s place.

Week 9 - 37-6 over the Ravens, Duffy is NFL Off Player of the Week and Game MVP with 28 carries, 128 yards, 1 score, 8 catches, 118 yards, 1 rec TD. The very rare double 100 game. I think I’ve seen it just once before in this dynasty. Platt with 2 scores and 108 yards. Ackerman with a pick. OT Poston notched 4 KRB.

With that win, we have moved into 1st in the AFC Central over the 5-3 Jaguars.

Week 10 - 36-28 over the 49ers. Jerry Platt is Game MVP with 9 catches for 183 yards. Rivers and Owens with scores. Duffy rushes for 79 yards and a score. 3 sacks by Solymos. No picks. C Galloway with 6 KRB.

We emerge with many injuries: WR Kennedy Owens, doubtful; DE Dan Covington, questionable; CB Dwight Stevenson, questionable.

I slide Owens to the 5th receiver slot. I will play the others.

Week 11 - 45-7 over the Jags. NFL O. Player of the Week is High with 16 of 18, 242, 4:0. Rivers had 118 yards, Platt two rec TD, Duffy one, and Battistone one. Ackerman was Game MVP with a 82 yard pick and run back for a score. Dean Dawkins had a 35 yard spick and run back for a score too. O’Rourke and Kasishke had picks too. Just one sack.

DE Sam Walden is out with Arthroscopic knee surgery for a long time. I IR him. DE Pirrup, a UFA DE will be starting the rest of the season.

Week 12 - 30-27 over the Steelers. We win by the same score we lost to earlier this season. Maloney kicked a 51 yard FG with 3 seconds on the clock to win it. High is Game MVP with 27 of 40, 379, and 2:1. Rivers, 10 catches, 183 yards. Duffy and Pierce with rec TDs. Duffy added 72 yards and a score on the ground. No picks. 2 sacks by Solymos.

Week 13 - 32-7 over the Chargers, Duffy is Game MVP with 28 carries, 89 yards, 1 score, 7 catches for 97 yards. High hits Platt for 103 yards and a score. No picks, just one sack.

Individual Stats:

QB Grady High, 66.0%, 4604 yards, 43:8 ratio, 117.4 QB Rating.

This is, simply put, the best QB season ever in the league. It sets a record for most passing yards in a season, and beats his own record for best QB Rating in a season set last year. He ties the most passing Tds in a season with 43. This is the best season in the league, and Grady High deserves a lot of credit.

RB Jake Duffy, 1368 yards, 16 rush TD - both led the league. 57 catches, 597 yards, 5 scores.

Duffy had a down year and was still the best back in the league. Duffy has tied Heath Shepherd for most rushing TDs in a career with 156.

WR Jerry Platt, 77 catches, 1293 yards, 13 TDs. This is a mammoth year from Platt. I’m glad I retained him! The most rec TD in the league and 3rd most yards.
TE Rick Rivers, 91 catches, 1290 yards, 10 TD. This is also stunning. 4th most yards and 2nd most TD in league for all receivers. This is a stunning year for him.
WR Roosevelt Beverly, 10 starts, 35 catches, 495 yards, 4 scores - Not great for Beverly, but I started him injured for 2-3 games so that hurts his scores a bit.

CB Dwight Stevenson had a KR TD and the 3rd best KR avg in the league.
CB Deon Kasischke had a KR TD and the 9th best KR avg in the league.

K Darrin Maloney, 34 of 43, long of 57
P Bennie Bridges, 43.8 avg (5th best in league), 29 of 68 in the 20

DT Marvin Solymos, 10.5 sacks, 8 QB Hurries.
DE Dwight Pirrup, 9 sacks, 1 blocked pass and 4 hurries.
DE Dan Covington, 7 sacks, 0 and 8

S Dean Dawkins, 6 picks, 7 pasdef
CB Jim Ackerman, 5 picks, 9 pasdef
S Dominic Gaylor, 4 and 6
CB Bob Pearson, 3 and 14. 2nd most pasdef in league

Solymos was robbed of an All Pro spot. A DT should never do that well unless they are top notch.

OT Will Poston, 24 and 6
OG Kim Fisk, 24 and 1
C Archie Galloway, 21 and 5
OT Roosevelt Morin, 17 and 6
OG Steve Coffey, 10 and 1

That is a bad, bad year for run blocking. With a developed O Line, I should have been making holes left and right.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: QB Grady High. He obviously dominated. Rick Rivers and Jerry Platt would be great choices in other years.

Defensive Player of the Year: DT Marvin Solymos - When my DEs dropped the ball, Solymos stepped up and did very well in the pass rush, giving us a fighting chance.

Special Teams Player of the Year: CB Dwight Stevenson - Another return this year and a great KR average. He was a great retruner. Wish I could afford to keep him around longer.

Rookie of the Year: LB Bruce Bertelson - Kinda won it by default with 50 tackles, 16 assists, 4 pasdef. He was pretty green and starting at WLB so there are some limitations to what he could do.

Heart Award: DE Dwight Pirrup - There are years when this award is blatantly obvious, and this is one such year. Pirrup, with his 15 Run Defense and 9 Pass Rush just obliterated expectations with 9 sacks. This is exactly the sort of performance for the Heart Award and Pirrup totally deserves this.

I laugh at some trade offers that arrive.

I sign Bob Pearson to two more years.

We have the 2nd overall pick in the draft, btw.

I trade Will Poston to the Panthers for their 2nd and 5th next year.

I extend Dean Dawkins by two years.

I want to move more starters - Dan Covington and perhaps Sam Walden. Covington has not performed as he needed to. That‘s the easiest move.

I trade Covington and our 4th and 5th from this year to the Panthers for their 1st next year.

I give DT Marvin Solymos his first professional contract. Two more years.

Starters in final year I have yet to make decision son:

OG Kim Fisk
OG Steve Coffey
DE Sam Walden

I sign Sam Walden because I don’t have the depth to send him away.

Neither Coffey nor Fisk have truly dominated. I have an OG on my roster that can start.

I trade Coffey to the Rail Runners for their 1/31 pick this year.

I trade QB Ronnie Kinney to the packers for their 2nd and 5th next year. He instantly becomes their best QB.

Starters I need right now:

FB, DE, OT, DT, LB

I have 3 first rounders and 3 second rounders.

I cut C Louie Sasser.

The 2042 Amateur Draft:

Gotta use this pick wisely, considering how much $$ he will get paid.

RB Albert Hall - The next Jake Duffy, Grady Pender, Heath Shepherd, or Ralph Barrett.
LB Byron Adams - low 90s in all stats for potential except 100 man-to-man and 88 pass rush.

That’s it. There are other good players here, but none worth the pick.

I was expecting to get a replacement for Duffy soon. Every year for the past four years, he has less yards and Tds than the year prior. His skills continue to erode. How much longer can he be an elite back? I could trade him to a team that could use him, and draft Mr. Hall, and move my team to the future.

LB Adams does not appeal to me. I don’t want to take a LB this high, I have bad luck with them.

Right now, my plan is to trade Duffy, then draft Hall.

I need to think this over.

I moved to the Browns in 2022. Now it is 2042. How long did it take for me to draft my first HOF players?

2022 - 0
2023 - 1 - yet to be inducted, but will be next year.
2024 - 1 - DE Bert Curtain, but not Bruce Holliday.
2025 - 0
2026 - 1 probably (Brant Carman)
2027 - 0 probably (has Neil Lee, DT Joey Springer, DE Floyd Gardner, none of which get it)
2028 - ? Perhaps S Derek Long with the large # of S and CB that make it, Jim Ackerman for sure
2029 - 0 (maybe, as a stretch, S Jon Prescott)
2030 - 0 (Maybe Joe Martinez has a long and good finale of his career)
3031 - 0
3032 - 1 (Grady High)

And that’s it. Also note that UFA Jimmy Ordona might be one of those CBs to slide in.

11 drafts. How many HOF players? 5 for sure. Up to 2 more. Between 5-7 players in 11 drafts.

Here are my Albuquerque drafts:

11 in 8 drafts.

Obviously, I was better then.

How many players currently on my team are honestly on a HOF parabola - Grady High, Jake Duffy, Jim Ackerman, Rick Rivers. And? Darrin Maloney perhaps. Dean Dawkins and Bob Pearson, considering how easy it is for their positions to get in. And then? Jerry Platt? Roosevelt Morin? Probably not.

Ackerman, Duffy and High are already in. Each could retire right now and make it in. They really don’t count.

That leaves Rivers as the only true HOF player on my team that looks like HOF in the future.

I simply have to take Hall here. It’s the obvious play.

I trade RB Jake Duffy to the Patriots for their 2nd rounder next year.

Then I draft our future, RB Albert Hall, Southern Methodist

1/31 arrives. This is about need.

OG Lewis Scott - Awesome potential for this pick - 86 and 76
S Andre Lee - Great player, 81, 67, 76, 75 are potentials.
OT Colin Hampton - 86 and 64 potentials - strong player
WR Darnell Johnstone - Pretty solid WR - Rickey Doucette level of talent
WR Kenyon Crawford - Perhaps a tad better, but greener
DT Mercury Walczak - 73 and 69 pots, pretty developed already

There are some strong players there. I’d be happy with any of those. Walczak and Hampton fit needs. Scott and Crawford/Johnstone are the best players here.

Kim Fisk is in his final year. I could move him and grab the studly Lewis Scott.

I always like to get the starters and quality from my 1sts. However, I need starters at several positions, and Scott is not it. OT Hampton is the best player at a position of need.

Walczak is taken by 1/36 as is WR Johnstone.

That leaves me Scott, Crawford, Lee to choose from.

I take the best, OG Scott.

The first of my seconds is here at 2/30. Crawford is long since taken.

I need some new players to look at:

DT

Draft Recap:

1/2 RB Albert Hall, Southern Methodist
1/31 OT Colin Hampton, Miami, Florida
1/36 OG Lewis Scott, Fordham
2/30 DE Tom Comeaux, UCLA
2/32 OT Rickey Moss, USC
2/36 LB Oliver Nelson, Virginia
3/22 DT Dana Deskiewcz, Bucknell
3/36 FB Ernie Kinney, Tennessee - Martin

4/22 WR Chester Baxter, WVU
6/36 LB Henry Everett, Brigham Young
7/36 QB Horace Campbell, Boise State

Not a bad class actually.

Our stadium vote passed by 66%

Some UFA I sign:

C Trevor Toombs, Tulsa
RB Travis Fuller, Oregon
OG Johnnie Barnes, Rutgers
DE Brock Harris, WVU
S Jerald McGregor, Georgetown
CB Les Ballard, Louisiana State
DE Gus Arellano, California Lutheran
OG Sherman Covington, Georgia Tech

I trade OG Kim Fisk to the Raiders for their 2nd next year.

Let’s go camping.

HOLY BLAZES! Gus Arellano boomed like a bitch in heat. He went from 20s to 90s. DAMN!

He is now the highest potential DE I’ve ever had on my team except for maybe Brock Woods.

Of course, his contract is up this year, and I’ll have to make him a professional contract offer next year. I’m not sure my roster can handle that. Let’s see what I can do.

Players I have to make decisions about next year:

WR Beverly
C Galloway
S Gaylor

That’s not a bad list.

The problem is that I have 2 1sts next year already, and I doubt I can pay for a bunch of rookies and keep Arellano too.

I trade my 1st next year for Austin‘s 1st in two years.

We sold 45k tickets

RB Albert Hall, 45/86
OG Lewis Scott, 11/79
OT Colin Hampton, 18/76
LB Henry Everett, 10/76
QB Horace Campbell, 20/73
DE Tom Comeaux, 8/70
FB Ernie Kinney, 23/69
OT Rickey Moss, 12/68
WR Chester Baxter, 26/65
LB Oliver Nelson, 21/62
DT Dana Deskiewcz, 6/52 - A bit of a bust

For comparison:

DE Gus Arellano, 34/94

OT Howie Preston, from last year, boomed a bit so I have four studly OT.

I was expecting DT Dana to be my starter this year, but with the bust, that’s no longer happening.

OG Jeffrey Tualo - I’m ready for him to be redder than before.

DE Gus Arellano - Obviously
DE Sam Walden - Developed, one All Pro season.
DT Marvin Solymos - Had a great season last year, and now with a professional contract - which I do rarely for DTs, so he needs to continue to dominate.

LB Oliver Nelson - A natural and strong choice for WLB, but very green

And others think?

THE best QB
12th worst RB
Tied for 5th worst FB
3rd best TE
THE best WR
2nd best C
7th worst OG
Tied for 15th best OT
THE best P
THE best K
15th worst DE
Tied for 14th best OT
Tied for 11th worst LB
THE best CB
3rd best S

We’ve gotten a bit more crazy this year with more green players at key positions like RB, FB, OG, OT, and DE.

I keep jettisoning older All Pros, but my roster still has 11 All Pros on it.

My prediction, 11-5, #3 seed.

During the preseason, LB Percy Glover is out VERY LONG TERM. I IR him. I sign UFA LB Alex Hughes from Findlay

3-1 in preseason

Daniel Welch is questionable. He’ll play anyway.

Week 1 - 21-7 over the Skins on the road. Jim Ackerman is Game MVP with 2 picks. In his debut, Albert Hall had just 16 carries but 87 yards and a score. High hit Battistone for a score. Dawkins added a pick.

With these two picks, Jim Ackerman has tied the record for most picks in a career.

CB Bob Pearson is dinged but will start next week.

Week 2 - We survive on the road against the Giants 15-13. Yup, 5 Fgs. Darrin Maloney was Game MVP. Rivers had 103 yards. Gaylor with a pick, Bertelson with 1.5 sacks.

Week 3 - Grady High is Offensive Player of the Week and Jim Ackerman is MVP and Defense Player of the Week. We win 44-6 over the Bengals in our place.

Jim Ackerman - 36 yard pick and return. 2 picks on the day. Now has the record for most picks in a career.
Grady High - 20 of 29, 268. 2:0. Hit Rivers and Hall for scores.
Albert Hall - 19 carries ,114 yards, 2 rush scores.
Knox and Pearson with picks.
DT Solymos rewards me with 3.5 sacks in one game.

Week 4 - 45-0 ON THE ROAD against the Jags. DE Gus Arellano is Game MVP with 3.5 sacks. Walden with 2 sacks. Knox with our sole pick. C Galloway with 4 KRB. Hall had 17 carries, 71 yards, 1 score. Stevenson rushes for a score. High hit Rivers, Platt and Hall for scores. Rivers had 121 yards.

Now we host the 4-0 Ravens for the early lead in the division.

The 2042 NFL Super Bowl

Your AFC Champion #1 seed 14-2 Huntington Highlanders

vs

Your NFC Champion #2 seed 12-4 San Francisco 49ers

We have won the last two Super Bowls. The 49ers won the Bowl before that.

We lose 20-6.

No really good stats on our end.

So the 49ers are our new rival. The two of us have won each of the last four Super Bowls, and we have each won two. The 49ers beat us both times to win, so they had to beat good teams.

We have made the Super Bowl for 5 straight times, but lost to the Rams, lost to the 49ers, beat the Cowboys, beat the Rattlesnakes, lost to the 49ers.

Season Awards:

Offensive Rookie of the Year: RB Albert Hall
All-Pro 1st Team: QB Grady High, TE Rick Rivers, DT Marvin Solymos, CB Jim Ackerman
All-Pro 2nd Team: RB Albert Hall, K Darrin Maloney

Others of Note:

None

Nice to see Hall here already. I knew Solymos had the potential to be here. Ackerman is a miracle. I love Grady High. Maloney with 3 straight All Pros is something.

Ackerman has had 12 All Pro season in 15 years. Of those 12 All Pros, NINE are 1st Team. That man is a miracle in a football player’s uniform.

Individual Stats:

QB Grady High, 60.1%, 4022 yards, 27:12, 93.3 rating

Still a great year, but a severe drop off from the previous two, which were record setting.

RB Albert Hall, 1573 yards, 4.5 ypc, 19 rush TD; 39 catches, 404 yards, 4 rec TD

Albert Hall had a great year for a rookie with some green still to work out. There is nothing shameful here. The only reason he wasn‘t All Pro 1 or MVP or anything was a guy with 1873 yards and 21 TD this year.

TE Rick Rivers, 84 catches, 1197 yards, 6 TD
WR Jerry Platt, 71 catches, 1113 yards, 10 TD
WR Roosevelt Beverly, 76, 930, 3

It’s like Beverly has developed into a fine possession receiver, while Platt is my homerun hitter and Rivers my all around receiver. Great years by Rivers and Platt again.

CB Deon Kasiskchke, 1 PR TD

K Darrin Maloney, 35 of 41, long of 52
P Bennie Bridges, 43.5 average, 36 of 80 in 20

Great years by both.

DE Gus Arellano, 12.5 sacks, 4 blocked passes, 4 QB Hurries
DE Sam Walden, 8.5, 1 and 4.
DT Marvin Solymos, 7, 0 and 9 QB Hurries - 6th most in league

LB Anthony McKnight, 95 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 blocked pass, 1 hurries, 1 pick, 10 pasdef. - Not All Pro? If not, then close.

CB Jim Ackerman, 8 picks, 9 pasdef
CB Dean Dawkins, 6 picks, 9 pasdef
S Dominic Gaylor, 3 and 9
CB Bob Pearson, 2 and 5

Pearson is dropping the ball

OG Jeffrey Tuaolo - 25 and 7
C Archie Galloway - 24 and 3
OT Colin Hampton - 18 and 8
OT Roosevelt Morin - 18 and 6
OG Lewis Scott - 17 and 6

Galloway had 74 KRO and just 24 KRB. That saddens me.

I may be making some O Line changes for next year. Morin and Galloway are not safe anymore.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: WR Jerry Platt - Another great year for the receiver. Thanks Jerry!

Defensive Player of the Year: CB Jim Ackerman - If he retires, this will be the last time he gets this award, and he was second in the league in picks in his 15th year. Amazing.

Special Teams Player of the Year: P Bennie Blades - No All Pro but he has one of the highest P averages and one of the highest punts in 20 averages.

Rookie of the Year: RB Albert Hall - Although DE Gus Arellano had a great year, Hall just had a great, All Pro, Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign, so he gets this award.

Heart Award: S Jerald McGregor - 3 picks for the UFA S who never started a game. Thanks for the help Jerald!

Records This year:

As I mentioned, RB Albert Hall tied the record for 5 TD in a playoff game.

TE Rick Rivers has more receiving yards than Ed Gardener in his career just this year, and just 3 less TD - all in 7 years.

Jim Ackerman has 86 picks, the most in a career.

Jake Duffy has the most rushing TD in a season with 159. He had a very down season for the Patriots with just 3 rush TD.

Players with Contracts Ending:

DE Gus Arellano
WR Daniel Welch
QB Brian Glenn
S Jerald McGregor

Okay, let’s see if Jim retires or not.

End of Season:

Performance - 95
Value - 84
Profit - 28
Diff - 78

Score - 68

Retirees:

None of Note
Yay - Ackerman is still around!

Franchise Snapshot:

6th most valuable
20th best economy
Tied for most support
THE best roster
21st best stadium
10th worst attend by #, Tied for best by % (100% full)

Lost 163 million. That includes a 100 million stadium payment.
