We might be ready to strangulate each other now & then (some more frequently than others) BUT that's still 2+ decades of ... knowing each other.
There aren't that many people I encounter regularly I can say that about.

Can someone refresh my memory of the timeline that preceded the shift over here? I remember being around on the Sideline days but am forgetting when that began and if there was something before it.

I don't recall all of the details, but The Sideline was where we first congregated, and I believe it was in 1999. though it could have been late 1998. The move here happened because some folks with (I think) the hosting company at the time wanted to oust Blackadar and Tony as the heads of the board. Some dude using the moniker of Styx banned both of them and several others. (I was banned for defending them, but reinstated a few days later. Several other folks who were considered fairly prominent members back then were also banned during that time.) Shortly thereafter, in October 2000, Blackadar spearheaded an effort to move the community entirely from them, and we became FOFC at that point. Ryan S and I became co-admins for a while in 2002ish, then in 2003 Blackie officially handed the reins over to me. I coordinated an effort to move us to the vBulletin platform in late 2003 or early 2004, and in 2008, OS began hosting us. I think those are most of the key dates.

I haven't been on here much in the last few years, but I used to be a regular. Bucc was always involved here. My wife just finished chemo, has surgery Thursday, and starts radiation in February for breast cancer.

Cancer sucks far beyond words can convey.
