anti-fantasy baseball league
Here's a little blurb I wrote up (last year):
I have 1 opening in my anti-fantasy points league affectionately known as the Mario Mendoza league. The "best" players in this league are the everyday-ish players who, frankly, suck. If your interested in being in a league where the Jack Hanahans, Tony Pena, Jrs, and Andruw Jones's of the world are "all-stars" than this is the league for you. You'll have to do a lot of homework early on, but it's only a weekly league so it should be too taxing once the season starts. This league is a bit of a test league just to see how it works out. I did a lot of statistical analysis to get the scoring system just right. A sense of humor about the whole thing is probably a must. See post #7 for info.

Wow, this is the first I've ever heard of a league like this. I bet it would be a lot of fun. Tony Pena is your #1 pick!

How does the scoring work in this league? The team with the lowest average wins that category? The team with the fewest homers? Or does it work just like a regular league but we're playing with all bad players?

Had 5 solid owners last year -- seeing about doing this again this year.
Feel free, if you're interested:

I've seen leagues like this and they're suppose to be really fun but I don't have time this year.
Still, deserves a bump SI

Day crowd bump. The draft is Thursday night, April 1, but draft participation is not all that important for a league of this nature.
