IWS #85 Results
We had 45 entries, and many people were with stupid on a few questions. I was expecting a number of winners, and we ended up with 3. But first, here's the answers.
1. If there was an FOFC Hall of Fame, name a poster past or present who would be a first ballot inductee. Quiksand- 28 Skydog- 10 Solecismic- 3 JeeberD- 2 Fritz- 1 Dolamite- 1 2. Name an American political observer/commentator who is completely and utterly biased. Rush Limbaugh- 20 Michael Moore- 12 Bill O'Reilly- 8 Chris Matthews- 1 Larry King- 1 John Tierney- 1 Lindburgh- 1 George W Bush- 1 3. Who is the best second baseman in the National League? Jeff Kent- 28 Mark Loretta- 7 Marcus Giles- 3 Luis Castillo- 2 Alphonso Soriano- 2 Roberto Alomar- 1 Johnny Wilkinson- 1 Albert Pujols- 1 4. Blonde, brunette, or redhead? Blonde- 30 Brunette- 10 Redhead- 5 5. Name the best quarterback in NFL history. Joe Montana- 40 Dan Marino- 2 John Elway- 2 Johnny Unitas- 1 6. At what time of day is FOFC usually the busiest? Noon- 20 Afternoon- 4 8:00 PM- 3 3:00 PM- 2 Midday- 2 Work Time- 2 2:00 PM- 2 Morning- 2 Night- 1 Midnight- 1 7:00 PM- 1 9:00 PM- 1 6 PM- 1 Lunch- 1 9:30 AM- 1 5 PM- 1 And now the bottom 37: Code:
And in third place: Code:
Second place: Code:
And the three winners: Code:

What are the odds that Dolamite voted for himself on #1...
*edit* What are the odds that Fritz voted for himself on #1...

I'm surprised question #2 didn't see any votes for Coulter or Franken.
I'd also like to express pride at only getting a 3 on my own question (#1).

These need to be made harder, too many multiple winners lately.

Woo hoo! I have entered the last three and actually thought I would do better in the other two. I'm not sure if that makes me more like stupid or not, but I'll enjoy the win even if it has to be shared. I don't have any questions to offer at this point, so I will let the other two winners slug it out or share if they want.

dola
I usually go with my initial thought to each question, but I hesitated on three of these. My first thought was to put Bill O'Reilly for #2 and Johnny U for #5. The last question I really wasn't sure what to put at all. I wasn't sure if a specific time or a general time like evening would win. I got lucky on that one. |

Exactly as I friggin predicted it. Perfect on everything but the political question, and I totally should have gotten the political question. I asked my girlfriend after submitting my results, and she immediately said Rush. I smacked my head. I could have added a 4th title to my belt...

Note that this is me who put Georges W Bush on the commentator question (note to self, I should have at least tried to put Miachael Moore, but it didn't cross my mind....) |

Well, at least I only placed second-from-last. Even despite my dismal showing....I'm coming back for the next IWS. Then again, maybe I'm just out of medication.
Also note that I intentionally mucked up my answer to the question about hair color just to proudly proclaim my obsession with redheads. Last edited by SportsBizzer : 09-10-2004 at 04:47 AM. |

These were all fairly straight forward questions, I was expecting a huge 10 way tie for first

Still, I liked the questions for the most part. It's just tough for people to strike a balance and make scatter questions that don't need to be Google'd. As can be seen by the high turnout here, it's better to have this than multiple questions that you have to Google. SI
