Chief was bluffing to get us to knock off a STARS and save SnDvls. I believe Chief does know spleen's faction. Whether he tells us the truth is another story.

I think it is pretty clear that the Umbrella's wanted us to lynch Spleen last night. But it would have been preferable for them to lynch STARS instead of Zombie, all things being equal. They had three people last night and were looking at a game with seven people today.

The only way I think that Spleen turns up as a Zombie is if Chief really thought we would refuse his generous offer yesterday and then distrust him again today. That requires a pretty decent amount of foresight - my hat is off to him if he was playing it that way. Even if he was do to that, they would need help to have Fouts avoid positively identifying a Zombie today - Zombie night kill, Fouts choosing a non-Zombie, or something else I haven't considered.

If I follow this, then...

The claim now is that there were five STARS yesterday, one zombie, and three Umbrella. Umbrella was trying to get us to hit a STARS in the lynch, and then they would count on the remaining zombie to clear out another, and that would leave Umbrella in control. If they had pulled it off, they would have won.

Instead, we all united on one of the Umbrella players, triggering a one-for-one exchange and leaving four STARS, one zombie, and two Umbrella.

Do we presume, then, that they are claiming to throw up their hands on this because we have refused to play along and direct suspicion toward any of the remaining STARS players?

Should we give any credence to the possibility that they are still in the same endgame strategy?

I'm thinking not, because that doesn't work with the players who have been pushed for votes.

Dola, actually, Umbrella would not have been in complete control, it would have set up a standoff where the zombie would probably be able to manipulate a win.

MrW, we could be in a situation where we have a 3-2-2 ratio. If that is the case, we strongly suspect who the two Zombies are - both Spleen and Dodgerchick. More on this below.

But if we are at 4-2-1 then we have a 50/50 today. If we miss on the lynch, you still have the option to snipe the other person tonight. I can go ahead and guard you so you can complete that action. No more zombies = STARS win.

Only risk here is if we somehow have an incomplete read on one of the five identified players. You can not be falsely in the circle based on a snipe and no counter-claim. I know that I am in the circle. I can't fathom Fouts being a converted IA and having made the move he did on Night 4 - all my suspicious scenarios revolved around him as potential Umbrella.

So, I trust Fouts. And that means BrianD is Umbrella (viewed last night). Which means that we know four people out of the remaining seven if you trust my analysis here.

Remaining three:
- Rum could actually be the converted Umbrella like Spleen has suggested, but he has no way of knowing this unless they are both Zombies.

- We do not know about Spleen or DC, thus they are the vote options for this lynch.

Looking at how things went down yesterday, unless the Chief was attempting reverse psychology (push Spleen in the anticipation that we wouldn't go for him), I feel fairly confident that Umbrella believed spleen to be STARS, although I'm still a little mystified as to what Brian was trying to do.

If that's the case, we've got the right vote today, with the outside possibility that spleen is right and the Chief is a convert.

I'm going to be out for a while, and possibly not back before the deadline.

I just got back from the airport and I won't be able to participate all that much between now and deadline. My wife has been out of town for the last couple of days and is not going to be thrilled with me ignoring her on her return to play WW

So I'm hoping we made the right decision earlier and will try to take at least one more look before the deadline in case there is anything late breaking.

So we have had Lathum, SnDvls, Anxiety/DC, BrianD, and Chief Rum all as Umbrella to start the game?

Chief is the only one who is not confirmed, but would the Umbrella let him represent himself as such?

Assuming Chief was telling the truth, Umbrella was basically in end-game mode yesterday with four members. Would have been in position to control the vote. Yet they pushed Spleen as the guy for us to lynch - any reason for them to actually give us a Zombie in that situation rather than have us lynch a STARS?

Fouts, hope to see you tomorrow morning to lock this game up.

Well, you guys saw through my bluff and offed DC. We had four members yesterday with SnDvls. Now we have two, with SnDvls and DC gone. You guys have three members, not the four you envision.

You still have numbers, and I think that means the zombie will go after one of you tonight. If he succeeds, it will be 2-2-1--and anyone's ball game.

I would say I am rooting for you guys, but of course, I am not. If the zombie kills one of you, it opens up things for Brian and me.

hoopsguy General Manager Join Date: Oct 2000 Location: Chicago	So we have had Lathum, SnDvls, Anxiety/DC, BrianD, and Chief Rum all as Umbrella to start the game? Chief is the only one who is not confirmed, but would the Umbrella let him represent himself as such? Assuming Chief was telling the truth, Umbrella was basically in end-game mode yesterday with four members. Would have been in position to control the vote. Yet they pushed Spleen as the guy for us to lynch - any reason for them to actually give us a Zombie in that situation rather than have us lynch a STARS? Fouts, hope to see you tomorrow morning to lock this game up.
