They must be doing Weegie festivities around this. Dancing, music, skirts and stuff. Speeches and shit.

The more activities I see you post about, Rizon, the more convinced I become that this package is just a ruse to create a new kind of holiday or festival.

I'm beginning to believe that. This seems like one giant advertisement.

Though, I'm starting to believe I'm not watching the right link.

I think they are about to do some magic or something now.

There must be at least a dozen separate envelopes.

A newspapers (I think she said 1914 and 1919?). Letters from the US. Telegrams from 1912.

There must be a hundred things in there.

Apparently this guy didn't realize that in 100 years, we would benefit and delight in INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

Another package. With more letters.

They put it all in a plastic bin and walked off with it. Never went into great detail about what was in it. Looked like a bunch of letters.

Now they are about to dance again.

I thought Norway was about beer and barmaids with big tits in kilts.

Norway appears to be about fiddling.

So, 100 years out, his prediction of the death of newspapers was only off by a decade or so. Cut him some slack.

I'm disappointed they haven't introduced a black metal band. Norway's big on that stuff.

Man, if it takes this long to open packages, I'd hate to see how long it takes to open up their birthday presents.

Norway's 100-Year-Old Mystery Package Opened: Guess What Was Inside - Forbes

Quote:
Inside the package? Surprise! Another package! Inside that, much to my dismay, was not an increasingly small series of packages leading to a pea. Instead, the interior package contained a number of fabrics in the color of Norway’s flag – “from the King,” said one of the package openers. Under the fabric the curators found notebooks, newspapers, a letter, a small drawing, some community council papers and other bits of paper.

Among the newspapers were clippings from 1914 and 1919, suggesting that perhaps the package had been added to after it was originally assembled in 1912. Still, the curators confirmed that the package contents were indeed from the first two decades of the twentieth century.

... the package contents seem to be primarily concerned with the construction of a monument to celebrate the victory in 1612. The notebooks and newspapers contain ledgers and accounts of donations given to fund the memorial. Another paper contained the lyrics to an old popular song that is now used as a march in Norway.

Rather than be discouraged, see this is a way that you can spread your dissatisfaction to the future! I say we all bring some packages to our mayor. Let our grandchildren suffer as we did.
