I increase a couple of salaries. Anna Grice is currently the 2nd biggest star out there, so I want to compensate her like it.

Runekiller made us 141k and is being archived. Lady, Please Leave the War made us 125k and is similarly getting archived.

In Nov, I edit our remaining n sci-fi script to Major Pink takes a Holiday (from Major Purple). I change the sets to give it a bit of a kick, and I order another scifi script from my script doctors.

Jan arrives and I greenlight our modified sci-fi film with Kelly and Anna in the starring roles.

The next month, our newest scifi script – The Infernal Combustion Engine is ready. I order Major Pink to start shooting.

March sees our research unlock a wild west pack and I spend 23k to build a WW Jail set and 7k on a WW Traveling vehicle set. I move our researchers to Cult Packs.

April – I greenlight Where’s My Baby?

Starring Jo and William.

Two months later it starts shooting.

After making it 128k for us, P.R.O.T.O.N. is retired.

Oct 1929 sees the Stock ,market crash which means comedies are up

In early November, Major Pink is releases and barely misses being our first two star film. It cost us 43k to make.

This is our first movie script I edited to make a little different than the other ones.

The 1930 awards have arrived! There are now 6 studios. I expect to win two of the four awards. Let’s go.

The first award is the Highest Charting Star, and Anna Grice wins for us, giving us our first major award. The horror and scifi actress has had 5 films released since the last awards ceremony, and has definitely been good for us. She will be harder to displease and more effective for the next five years.

While we are one of the three finalists for Highest Charting Studio, we do not win. We’re currently ranked 3 outta 6. Creamboat Creations wins

We win Most Prestigious Studio Lot. That’s great, because the prize is increased research in the next five years.

Creamboat Creations has the highest charting movie, and we are not even in the running.

Highest Climbing Studio will be the newest award next time.

With two of four awards, and an nomination for a third, we have a really good night tonight at the second Awards Ceremony.

We now have a two star star and only need a 2 star movie to get the next achievement.

January, 1930, Where’s My Baby? Is released

It cost 32.5k to make, and again, just missed out on 2 stars. It was also a script I modified.

This was our 15th film

We unlock the basic horror pack and create another bathroom set.

After making us 87.8k Prehistoric Dawn is archived.

March arrives and I greenlight The Hairnet after making adjustments.

Instead of directing William Loomis, Jo Townshend will be directing Meghan Bradley

I try my hand at script writing and create a script – Megavolution, a sci fi. I’ve actually never done this before, so we’ll see how it works out

April arrives and The Hairnet starts shooting. I cast William Loomis and Anna Grice with directing by Kelly. Megavolution begins rehearsal

After making us 84.7k, it’s time to retire The Walnut Crack’d

I hire a new star – Mark Smart, because I needed another male actor.

June – We unlock a major movie making pack from our research. We now have:

2 color movies
Sound
Intermediate Script Office
Post Production Office

I order the last two built immediately at a cost of 29k and 39k respectively.

We are now the #1 studio in the rankings.

July arrives and Megavolution begins shooting

I hire another researcher

I edit our film Two-Fingered Pete and get it ready for casting. I cast Pete Petrov as the director and Tamsin Carr in her first film.

I hire two more movie crew. I also hire Andy Quayle and Laura Turner as new extras, giving us 6 total.

Oct – Two Fingered Pete begins shooting

With our Intermediate Script Office ready, I hire a third writer and start working on our first two star script.

I build three more trailers and stuff around them.

After a 203k run, They Built the Moon is time to be archived.

Jan 1931 – I hire another builder

The next month we finish a almost 2 star script and I order my people to make another one.

April – with a cost of 68.8k, we release Megavolution, an original script by me, and my first time ever doing anything like that.

It is my very first 2 star film – excellent! We have reached our second milestone, and I unlock a Forest Set. I order it built. Our next one we need 2 awards, which we have, 5 2 star films, and 1 mill in the bank.

June 31 – We are officially in a depression. Comedy and Romance are up, Action and Horror down.

Later in the month we unlock a sci fi pack. I order the Sci Fi Corridor set built.

Next month I greenlight The Gutter Dwellers, a horror film with a script almost 2 stars. I cast:

Mark Smart in his first starring role
Anna Grice as a star
Director Kelly Ford

We discover a suburban pack, and I order the construction of a Suburban Living Room set.

I hire another janitor and builder

Aug sees shooting begin on The Gutter Dwellers

Sept sees a script, Tenderspirit, finish. I order it to begin casting and cast Jo, William and Meghan.

I hire 19 year old Anthony Orchin as a new actor.

Nov sees Tenderspirit begin filming. I build another trailer and starting making assignments.

Jan – We have a million and reach our second milestone. At 303k, it is time to archive Major Pink Takes a Holiday. At one time, this was as high as the 6th highest grossing movie ever, but now it’s 16.

Currently Two-Fingered Pete is #3 and Megavolution is #6.

I hire a 9th camera crew

Stars can now get entourages. I can take an unemployed person, and move them to help out a star. It takes from my queue for jobs though.

Two months later, with a revenue of 270k, it’s time to archive Where’s My Baby?

A two star script, comedy, Douglas Duckmeat is ready and I order it prepared. Pete Petrov will direct with Tamsin and new hire Anthony starring. We start shooting in early June

I give Anna Grice an entourage.

Sept – We unlock a war pack 7 years early. Here is what it comes with of note:

Smoke in my scenes
The War – Bombed Street set
A lot of costumes, props, and backgrounds

I order the set built now for 74k. It is one of the biggest sets out there.

I remember this game as being a real disappointment, but I never played it after the expansion pack came out. How much did it improve gameplay, Abe?

It doesn't for a while. Most of the things it adds kick in after 1960, and it adds a start feature that takes you to there rather than build up your studio. I don;t know how they'll play out yet.

I think the game, like all Peter Molyneux games really, bites off too much, because it gets too tedious down the road to my mind, but right now, playing it is fun.

Tenderspirit has released as the #1 film, but we’ll see if it keeps that rating its whole run.

Jan 1933 arrives and we now have higher speed cameras and 33 mm film

I hire a 6th researcher and increase the salaries of my stars significantly.

I give actor William Loomis an entourage.

With 260k, The Hairnet is archived.

In July, I send action script Wrong Arm of the Law to casting. Pete Petrov will direct Meghan Bradley.

The next month, at 335k and the 11th ranked film, Megavolution is retired. Wrong Arm starts shooting

We have now released our 5th 2 star+ film and meet our achievements. I can now write the next level of scripts if I build a new script writing office.

Our next targets are a three star movie, star, studio and to release 15 films. We have the last two.

I give Kelly Ford a entourage.

We unlock another pack and can now build:

Cheap trailers
Large Restrooms
New ornaments

Before I start building a bunch of new stuff, let me show you my lot.

I destroy the Basic Script Office to make room for this one. I won’t be needing the one star scripts it makes anymore.

William Loomis, Kelly Ford and Anna Grice are my three biggest stars, all in the top 5. I greenlight a scifi picture, entitled Chemical Jody which will team up all three for a mega star pic.

I hire my 10th film crew

Jan 1934 arrives. 314.5k y Two-Fingered Pete was great, but its time to retire it.

The next month we unlock a pack that gives us a shack, exterior set.

Feb sees Chemical Jody start shooting and I start my first script from the newest office.

In Sept I hire my next star:

21 year old Vicky Vance, actress

The next month I spend some quality time working on various appealing landscaping details – like resodding areas that browned with use, adding some benches, trees, and more. Just making a lot of places a bit more appealing on the eyes. I don’t want to lose the Best Studio Lot award this year – the extra research speed is awesome.

In Nov, I unlock an urban kit that gives me an Urban Office set, which I order built right away.

The 3035 Awards arrive:

Highest Charting Star sees us win again for Anna Grice. Yay!

We also win for Highest Charting Studio. For the next five years, we will pay our stars and staff only half, and they won’t notice!

We also won for Highest Climbing Studio, since we went from 3 to 1. For the next five years, my stars will suffer no negative effects to drinking and eating. We won’t see that award again, and I wasn;t sure we’d get it this time either, but we did!

We grab the trophy for Most Prestigious Studio Lot as well, as expected.

Lionear Productions wins the Highest Charting Movie, beating out our #2 film.

We won four of five – an impressive feat.

The next ceremony will hand out an award for Most Prolific Star.

Let’s see the ceremony.

My studio has just reached four star status.

I hire a 4th scriptwriter.

I start rehearsing a two star action script – Stop that Elephant, with Meghan starring and Petrov directing.

In Mar we release 129k film Chemical Jody. It stars our three biggest names. Let’s take a look:

It releases as the #1 film right now.

I hire a janitor.

Our three major stars are literally 1-2-3 in terms of ranking

In April, Stop that Elephant is ready for shooting. With a revenue of 387k it’s time to archive #9 film of all time Tenderspirit

Since my salaries are now half price, I jack up salaries to the maximum level to make everyone happy.

In June we unlock a pack with a restaurant for my people. I build it.

I give Jo Townshend an entourage.

In July I begin rehearsal for a 3 star script, horror, called Goodnight Barry. It will star:

Direction by Kelly Ford
Anna Grice
Tamsin Carr
Mark Smart

It will take a while (9 scenes) to shoot.

It starts shooting in August. 297k for Douglas Duckmeat, but no one is watching it anymore and it gets retired.

In Sept, I start rehearsal on a 3 star romance film called The Marriage. Cast:

Director – Jo Townshend
William Loomis
Vicky Vance
Anthony Orchin

As of now, all of our stars, film crew, extras are all in movies.

A month later, The Marriage starts filming

Dec sees 413k #4 overall film The Gutter Dwellers archived
