We look to forget about our last performance as we return home to face Chesterfield. We're not the only team that has had a recent rough loss as Chesterfield lost a road match to Accrington 5-0 a week ago. I am sitting Coulson this game as is performance is unacceptable and is hurting the team. GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Wayne Hatswell DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle DC - Andy Parkinson MC - Sam Sheridan MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Dean Bennett, Rory McAuley, Mark Beesley, Jonathon Hogg - Rundle needs 2 more goals to reach 25 career league goals - Hatswell will be making his 50th league appearance with Cambridge - Pericard needs 3 more goals to reach 25 career league goals - Holroyd suffers a goal drought and has not scored in 414 minutes of game time 1st half - In the 4th minute Pericard crossed from the right win to Rundle in the box who directed the ball into the goal... GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!! We take a 1-0 lead!!! - In the 27th minute Potter made an ill advised diving stop on a ball that was clearly going wide, the ball bounced off him to striker Martin Gritton who had the entire net to place it into to tie the game as Potter was well out of position after the dive, 1-1 - In the 1st minute of injury time Rundle crossed from the left wing into the box but Willmott headed it just wide to the left of the goal - We go into halftime tied 1-1 2nd half - Beesley in for Willmott and moves to center midfield as Parkinson moves to right midfield in the 66th minute - Hogg in for Sheridan at center midfield in the 66th minute - In the 90th minute Holroyd one touched a pass to Pericard in stride as he got past the defense into the box and he driected a shot past the moving keeper into the net... We celebrate Halloween by hosting Port Vale in a tough league match. They are in 3rd place in the league and play a smothering defensive style as they have allowed only 9 goals in their 14 league games. I thought about sitting Potter who has not been playing up to his usual level over the past few games but decided ths would not be the game to do so as we can't afford to give up anything against this team. GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Wayne Hatswell DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle DC - Andy Parkinson MC - Sam Sheridan MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Dean Bennett, Jon Challinor, Mark Beesley, Jonathon Hogg - Rundle needs 1 more goal to reach 25 career league goals - Pericard needs 2 more goals to reach 25 career league goals - Holroyd has not scored in 504 minutes of play 1st half - In the 4th minute Parkinson found himself in the box with room to shoot, the keeper made the save but the ball rebounded right to Holroyd who placed the ball into the net to end his goal drought... GOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We take the 1-0 lead! - In the 6th minute our celebration ended as midfielder Louis Dodds directed a cross into our goal to tie the game 1-1 - In the 9th minute Gleeson crossed from the right wing right into the box and Holroyd was there to head it into the goal... GOOOOAAAALLL!!! His second gal of the game makes it 2-1!!! The Port Vale fans are shocked to see 2 goals scored on their club in the first 9 minutes of the game... - In the 24th minute Gleeson tried to intercept a pass in the box but missed, that led to a scramble and Bolland putting the ball in for an own goal as our lead vanishes again, 2-2 - In the 30th minute Paricard took a pass at the top of the box, turned and fired and put it off the keeper's fingertips and into the goal.. GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We take a 3-2 lead, the offensive outburst is very unexpected but the fans are loving it... - We go to the half up 3-2 2nd half - In the 56th minute a misplayed pass led to a counter attack in which midfielder Simon Richman received a pass on the lef side of the box with an easy tap in for the goal to tie it 3-3 - In he 68th minute a long ball played into the left wing was run down by Holroyd, he dribbled towards the box and passed to Parkinson who one touched a pass to Sheridan who fired a shot past the diving keeper into the right of the goal to give us a 4-3 lead!!! No other team has scored this much in a single game against Port Vale this season... - Hogg in for a tiring Bolland and moves to right defender as Gleeson moves to center defender in the 69th minute - Eagle in for Rundle at left midfield in the 69th minute - We hold up against a late surge for the 4-3 win - Chris Holroyd was named man of the match as he breaks his goal drought with 2 goals |

We are a huge underdog as we travel to play and FA Cup first round match at Huddersfield. Not only are they a level above us but they are in 7th in the league and have one of the higher scoring teams in the league which will test our defense. They have also not lost in their last 8 matches, with 6 of them victories. I am listening to my gut and sitting Potter. He has not played well as of late and he needs something to think about. We need to play a perfect game to win this game anywa and to be honest (off the record) I would rather lose a non-league competition like this than a league match (since we would need a miracle run to actually do well in the FA Cup). GK - Alex McCarthy DL - Anthony Tonkin DC - Phil Bolland DC - Ben Mee DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle DC - Andy Parkinson MC - Sam Sheridan MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Danny Potter, Danny Crow, Josh Coulson, Mark Beesley, Wayne Hatswell, Jon Challinor, Ben Farrell 1st half - In the 3rd minute Holroyd took a shot from about 30 yards out trying to bend it into the upper left corner of the goal but skimmed it just off the top of the goal, that would have been HUGE if he could have given us an early lead - In the 11th minute a corner from the right wing was headed into our goal by defender Nathan Clarke who had snuck into the box as Huddersfield takes the 1-0 lead - In the 25th minute McCarthy made a great save on a shot from deep inside the box to keep the deficit at one - In the 29th minute Rundle sent Holroyd running into the box on te left wing side, he closed toward the keeper and then passed to Pericard on the right side for the blast intto the goal... GOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!! Pericard has tied the game 1-1!!!! - Our joy was shortlived as in the 32nd minute McCarthy made a nice save but the rebound was sent past him by midfielder Jim Goodwin to give tem a 2-1 lead - In the 43rd minute Rundle crossed into teh box to Pericard but his header hit the post, the ball rebounded out to Holroyd and his shot hit the same post as we were unable to find the equalizer - We go into the half down 2-1 2nd half - Challinor in for Willmott in the 72nd minute - Farrell in for Parkinson in the 72nd minute - In the 76th minute Pericard sent Holroyd between the defense for a good chance into the box but the keeper made the save - In the 82nd minute striker Keigan Parker headed a cross past McCarthy and into the net to give them a 3-1 lead and pretty much wrap the game up (barring a major miracle) - Beesley in for Sheridan in the 83rd minute - Holroyd has a chance in extra time but puts it over the goal and we go on to lose 3-1 - Nathan Clarke is named man of he match I am proud of the team for their effort, though the board and fans are not exactly happy. Back to our league schedule as we travel to 10th place Rotherham. The have not lost in their last 5 matches but they are a streaky team as that comes right after having lost 4 consecutive matches. I hope that our league leading attack will give them all they can handle as we currently have scored the most goals in league play. McCarty has earned another chance to start. I told him to not let the outcome bother him but to do his best. I have placed him in the game now for two difficult contests but I didn't want to have the added pressure of the impatient home fans to worry about. Sheridan has been called away to play for the Irish 19 and under squad. GK - Alex McCarthy DL - Anthony Tonkin DC - Phil Bolland DC - Ben Mee DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Andy Parkinson MC - Mark Beesley MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Danny Crow, Josh Coulson, Ben Farrell, Jon Shcllinor - McCarthy is making his debut for Cambridge - Tonkin is making his 50th league appearance for Cambridge - Rundle is about to make his 225th career league appearance - Rundle needs 1 more goal to reach 25 career league goals - Pericard is about to make his 125th career league appearance - Pericard needs 1 more goal to reach 25 career league goals 1st half - In the 26th minute Parkinson took a corner from the right wing and found Holroyd in the box for a header but the keeper made the save to keep the game scoreless - In the 27th minute a long pass sending Holroyd forward led to the defender making a bad play trying to pass the ball away from Holroyd before he got to it but he put the ball right to Pericard who wasted no time firing the ball into the right side of the net for the GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL!!!! We take a 1-0 lead as Pericard gets his 10th goal of the season and 25th career league goal - We go into the half up 1-0 2nd half - In the 61st minute on a set piece after an offside, Bolland sent Pericard on a run into the right wing corner, he got by the defender and cut towards the box, as the defenders started to converge on him he passed to Beesley who was pulled down in the box and a penalty is awarded - Pericard takes the penalty and everyone is surprised as he is stopped, the rebound is put over the end line for a corner - Challinor in for Willmott in the 70th minute - Eagle in for Runde in the 70th minute - Farrell in for an injured Eagle and moves to center midfield as Parkinson moves to left midfield in the 1st minute of injury time - We hold on for the 1-0 victory - Defender Ian Sharps is named man of the match |

We hope to continue our nice little run as we travel to Bournemouth. They are 2 places behind us in the standings and could leap-frog us with a victory. This game will be a battle of the irresistable force meets the immovable object as they hve allowed the 3rd fewest number of goals in the league and we lead the league in goals scored. I have not been happy with Mee and Willmott as of late as they have not been playing at the same level they were early in the season. I am sitting hem to start this match and giving Sheridan and Coulson another crack at the starting lineup. Potter is also returning to the lineup, hopefully sitting a couple games got his head back together. GK - Danny Potter DL - Anthony Tonkin DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Sam Sheridan MC - Mark Beesley MR - Andy Parkinson ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Jonathon Hogg, Ben Mee, Robbie Willmott, Jon Challinor - Rundle needs 1 more goal for 25 career league goals 1st half - In the 29th minute Bournemouth finally solved Potter (after he had made some very nice saves early) as midfielder scored into the left side of the goal from about 25 yards out to give them a 1-0 lead - In the 43rd minute Rundle tooka corner from the left wing, sent it into the box to Holroyd who settled it, turned into space and blasted it into the left of the goal... GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!!! Game tied 1-1 - In the 2nd minute of injury time our celebration ended as midfielder Danny Hollands shot from about 25 yards out to the left side and snuck the ball just inside the left post to give them a 2-1 lead - We go to the half down 2-1 2nd half - Mee in for Tonkin at left defender to start the second half as Tonkin did not have a good first half - Challinor in for Sheridan in the 66th minute - In the 69th minute Pericard had a one touch pass to Holroyd in the box and he fired it past the diving keeper to tie the game 2-2!!!!!! - In the 71st minute a long pass ito our attacking zone on a set piece has Holroyd racingthe keeper to get to the ball outside of the box, they arrived at the same time and Holroyd got the pass past the keeper and had the entire empty net to tap the ball in for his hat trick!!! GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!!! We go up 3-2! - Hogg in for a slightly injured Gleeseon in the 87th minute - In the 88th minute Bournemouth had a wonderful chance from inside the box but Potter made an outstanding save diving to his right and the ball was cleared - The game ends in a 3-2 win - Chris Holroyd was easily named man of the match with his hattrick Last edited by EagleFan : 02-07-2010 at 09:25 PM. |

GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Sam Sheridan MC - Mark Beesley MR - Andy Parkinson ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Ben Farrell, Danny Crow, Jon Challinor, Anthony Tonkin, Robbie Willmott - Rundle needs 1 more goal to reach 25 career league goals - Beesley is about to make his 75th career league appearance for Cambridge 1st half - In the 4th minute Rundle took a corner from the left wing and hooked it into the box where Holroy headed it into the goal... GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!! We take the 1-0 lead! - In the 11th minute Pericard is mugged in the box and a penalty is called! - Pericard scores on the penalty kick!!!! We're up 2-0 with our striers each giving us a goal! - In the 44th minute our onslaught continues as Parkinson took a corner from the right wing and sent it into the box, Pericard knocked it down, found an open space and fired it into the right of the goal... GOAAAAAAAAAALLLL!!!! We are now up 3-0 - We go to the half up 3-0 2nd half - Crow in for Holroyd in the 68th minute - Willmott in for Parkinson in the 68th minute - Farrell in for an injured Pericard and moves to midfield as Beesley moves to striker in the 71st minute as all Cambridge fans are holding their breath - In the 90th minute Potter makes a great save on a shot from deep inside the box to keep the score 3-0 - We coast to the 3-0 victory - Pericard is named man of the match |

Chris Holroyd came in 3rd for player of the month for November. I was named Manager of the Month for November in the Coca-Cola League 2. We had only 3 league matches in the month but won them all by a combined score of 7-2. |

We travel to play at under-achieving Accrington. They are in 15th place in the league. Prior to the game we made an offer for a defender as we are actively looking to improve the team once the transfer window opens in a month so we can make a legitimate run down the stretch. I credit our position to my finding and signing players who scouts think could play at a higher level than league 2 (Mee, Pericard, Sheridan and Rundle to name a few). GK - Alex McCarthy DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Sam Sheridan MC - Andy Parkinson MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Danny Crow, Jon Challinor, Anthony Tonkin, Mark Beesley - Rundle needs 1 more goal for 25 career league goals - Willmott is about to make his 50th career league appearance, all for Cambridge 1st half - In the 27th minute Parkinson had a fine chance inside the box but hit the crossbar - In the 30th minute midfielder Andrew Procter headed a cross past a defensless McCarthy and into out net to give them a 1-0 lead, we have controlled the game yet now we trail - We go to the half down 1-0 thanks to missed opportunities, Holroyd has missed several good chances and is not playing up to par 2nd half - Crow in for Holroyd who ha played a poor game and missed many chance which should have given us a lead by now in the 65th minute - Eagle in for Rundle in the 65th minute - We are unable to convert a chance and lose 1-0 - Midfielder Andrew Procter is named man of the match |

Update
We now have signed 2 players that will be joining us once the transfer window opens in January. Center defender Sam Collins (32 year old, league 1, Hartlepool) and center midfielder Nicky Travis (22 year old, championship, Sheffield United). Scouts feel Travis will become our best center midfielder as soon as he steps on the pitch. Collins should strenghten up our defense as he is rated at least as good as Mee. |

We have just what the doctor ordered to get back into our winning ways. A home match against 22nd place Chester. They have been outscored 35-16 in league matches and look overmatched in most. GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Sam Sheridan MC - Andy Parkinson MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Jonathon Hogg, Jon Challinor, Anthony Tonkin, Mark Beesley - Rundle still needs 1 more goal to reach 25 career league goals 1st half - In the 10th minute Gleeson made a long cross into the box to Mee who snuck in from his defensive position and directedit into the goal... but it won't count as offside is called - In the 35th minute Rundle crossed to Pericard in the box, he dribbled once into a shooting position and fired the ball off the crossbar and out as the game remains scoreless - We go to the half with the game scoreless 2nd half - Beesley in for Pericard at striker who had received a small injury late int he opening half to start the second half - Challinor in for Willmott in the 82nd minute - We play a very poor game and only come away with a scoreless draw, I let the team have it in the post game talks, we must perform better - Robbie Willmott was named man of the match |

We host Exeter, a team that has been on a roll as of late winning their last three matches. We, however, have not been playing well the last couple matches and need to shake things up a bit. GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Ben Farrell MC - Andy Parkinson MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Jonathon Hogg, Jon Challinor, Sam Sheridan, Mark Beesley - Potter has not concededa goal in 225 minutes of play - Rundle still needs 1 more goal to reah 25 career league goals 1st half - In the 13th minute Farrell had a chance from teh top of the box but hit the crossbar and it stayed out - Sheridan in for an injured Willmott and moves to center midfield as Parkinson moves to right midfied in the 39th minute - In the 45th minute Pericard did a fine job finding Parkinson for a run into the box but Parkinson was unable to get the ball past the keeper - In the 1st minute of injury time Rundle found Pericard in the box, he turned and fired just inside the riht post... GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!! We take the 1-0 lead - We go to the half up 1-0 2nd half - In the 53rd minute striker Richard Logan redirected a cross into the goal as Potter's shutout streak ends an the game it tied 1-1 - In the 75th minute Sheridan fired a shot from about 25 yads out off the bar, Parkinson fired home the rebound but was called offside and the goal did not count - Challinor in for Parkinson in the 76th minute - Eagle in for a tired Rundle in the 1st minute of injury time - The game ends tied 1-1, another lost opportunity - Adam Rundle was named man of the match |

We travel to play at Stockport who have been getting mixed results as of late. We need to pick our play up as we have not been getting the results tha we would like as of late. With less than a week left before our transfers come to play for us we hope that will give us a boost for the rest of the season. GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Ben Farrell MC - Andy Parkinson MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Robert Eagle, Danny Crow, Darryl McMahon, Wayne Hatswell, Mark Beesley - Rundle still needs 1 more goal to reah 25 career league goals 1st half - In the 27th minute Rundle made a great cross from the left wing to Pericard for the header but it went just over the goal and the game remained scoreless - In the 1st minute of injury time midfielder Tommy Rowe took apass deep ni the box and put one past Potter to give them a 1-0 lead, that play certainly looked offisde to me - We go to the half down 1-0 2nd half - Going with my gut and bringing Crow in to replace Holroyd, who played poorly in the first half, to start the second half - In the 58th minute Rundle too a free kick and passed to Crow inside the box, he dribbled for space and fired just wide to the left of the goal - In the 62nd minute midfielder Tommy rowe brought the ball deep into the left of the box and shot the ball just insode the left post between Potter an the post to give them a 2-0 lead, Potter seemed to be expecting a cross to the striker who was in a better shooting position and was cheating in that direction - We fall 2-0 as we are unable to convert any late chances - Midfielder Tommy Rowe is named man of the match - McMahon in for Farrell in the 62nd minute |

We return home to face Notts County. We are the underdog though we are ahead of the in the standingsa they ae bee playing well and we haven't recently. We may have made a huge signing if we can agree to terms with the player as our transfer bid for striker Shawn Harrad has been accepted by Burton. He has scored 16 goals in his 23 games this season as he is coming into his own. In his last 92 league games he has 55 goals, including a BSP leading 28 league goals last season. GK - Danny Potter DL - Ben Mee DC - Phil Bolland DC - Josh Coulson DR - Dan Gleeson ML - Adam Rundle MC - Ben Farrell MC - Andy Parkinson MR - Robbie Willmott ST - Chris Holroyd ST - Vincent Pericard Subs - Anthony Tonkin, Sam Sheridan, Darryl McMahon, Jon Challinor, Mark Beesley - Rundle still needs 1 more goal to reah 25 career league goals - Gleeson is about to make his 175th league appearance for Cambridge - Challinor will make his 325th career league appearance if brought on 1st half - In the 36th minute Mee sent Holroyd running into the box where he was tripped but the ref called it a dive and gave Holroyd a yellow - The half ends 0-0 2nd half - Beesley in for Holroyd to start the second half - Sheridan in for Farrell in the 67th minute - Tonkin in for Coulson and moves to left defender as Mee moves to center defender in the 67th minute - In the 88th minute Willmott fed Parkinson in the box but he sho it well over the goal - Neither team is able to score and the fans are unhappy with a scoreless draw - Notts County defender Rober Taylor was named man of the match |

I am told that the Shaun Harrad transfer cannot go through. Our team's balance is well into the positive, certainly we should be able to free up enough money for this deal. This deal could push the team into a true promotion contender. After much thought I decide to push the issue and give the team an ultimatum. I am in good standing with the gans and in general so I can't see them letting me walk over this. January 2, 2010 The board calls me in to discuss my ultimatum. I am met with very angry faces and they ask me to sit down. They say they cannot increase our transfer budget. I did my homework and present my case, including the very comfortable amount of funds available to the team. I remind them of where the team was at when I started and where thye are now, in the running for an incredible feat of back to back promotions. Unfortunately they do not budge and hand me my walking papers. I cannot believe it, it all happened so fast. The timeline I was waiting for had arrived and I expected to have 3 new players and they could become the best striker, midfielder and defender on the team which would improve us immensely. Now I am on the oustside looking in. One stupid decision. Now I need to hit the pavement and find a new team. There must be teams that would want me after what I have done in my short tenure... |

No luck with the job hunt yet. I have been watching Cambridge and feel a little bit justified by the fact that in the three matches since I have been let go they have 1 win and 2 losses and in their last 2 matches they have been outscored 7-0. There are currently no job openings for manager. |

I have been offered a job at Worcester City. They are a struggling in 22nd place in Blue Square South. After thinking it over I have decided to accept as it will get me back "in the game". If nothing else I can use this job to parlay into something better. Definitely no ultimatums this time around. |

Ouch! ...That has to hurt...I always remember in the older version it was instant walking papers. I think you have to be like a god to the franchise to issue something like that. I know you found another gig per a later post but good luck getting them on the right track.

I wasn't going to make the demand either, it was just that I had my eye on trying to get that player all season and finally got Butron to accept a price a little closer to what I was hoping to get the board to be okay with. When the season started they wanted a quarter of a million which was way out of our price range. It's going to be rough getting this new team turned around, they don't have much to work with. Time to hit the free transfer list (at least they still have plenty of room in their weekly salary budget). |

My first signing is a free transfer. I brought in left midfielder Bryan Ingram. Once he reaches match fitness he will have a spot in the starting lineup. I know there are only 9 games left in the season but I needed to do something to jumpstart the team. So far this season they have won just 3 matches, this is an uphill battle. |

Already having issues with the team. David Bampton didn't show for training and has told the press that he is not happy with the team and is "considering his options". I want to set a tone early so I have fined him 2 weeks salary. Bampton seems to accept the punishment. |

My first match as manager of Worcester City. We face St. Albans on the road. They are 16th in the BSS. Our last 4 games have been all losses and the team lost by a combined score of 10-0. We are at home for a match against 11th place Braintree. We again are an underdog (and should be) and have an uphill battle ahead of us. I had a few more issues with players between games, the biggest coming from Garner as he wants a new contract. I told him that he can get one but he has to earn it with his play for the remainder of the season. He seems okay with that, but time and performance will tell. I hve decided to give youngster Chris Kennedy a chance to prove himself witah some league action. GK - Jamie Turner DL - Chris Kennedy DC - Martin Riley DC - Carl Heeley DR - Duncan Jupp ML - Bryan Ingram MC - Rob Davies MC - Ricardo Fernandes MR - Andre Francis ST - Matt Dinsmore ST - John Garner Subs - Danny Morgan, Charlie Holsgrove, Peter Gray, James O'Neill, David Bampton - Garner continues his drought and has not scored in 1219 minutes - O'Neill will play in his 1st league match if brought on 1st half - In the 24th minute striker Jordan Sutcliffe received a pass in traffic at the top of the box and managed to get off a perfectly places shot into the left side of the goal as we now trail 1-0 - In the 30th minute off a free kick set piece Sutcliffe received a pass in teh box, turned and fired into the goal to give them a 2-0 lead, our troubles continue - In the 43rd minute Fernandes took afree kick from about 25 yards out to the left wing side and hooked the shot just insode the left post for the GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLL!!!!! We are back to within 1 at 2-1 - We go to the half down 2-1 2nd half - In the 60th minute Garner heads a pass to Dinsmore in the box where he has a clear shot and fires the ball into the net.. GOOOOOOOOAAAAALLL!!!!! We have tied the match 2-2 - Morgan in for an injured Francis and moves to center midfield as Davies moves to right midfield in the 62nd minute - In the 77th minute Fernandes takes a corner from the right wing and swings it into the box where Jupp heads it past the keeper and into the net... GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!! We have come back to take a 3-2 lead!!!!! - In the 81st minute Jupp is called for a penalty in the box, a poor call in my opinion and he is given a yellow card - Defender Gavin Hurren took the penalty and scores into the left of the goal to tie the game 3-3 - Gray in for Davies in the 82nd minute - Bampton in for Ingram in the 82nd minute - The game ends in a 3-3 draw, we were robbed by the ref - Jordan Sutcliffe was named man of the match |

Update
With our recent loss the team has set a new club record for games without a win at 13. They have also clinched relegation. Futility isn't even the word for it at this point as they are 15 points behind the team that is in front of them. |

Update
This team is awful, and that is being kind. We lost the next two games and I apply for 2 other jobs as I can't begin to deal with this mistake (accepting this position) as players are trying to make contract demands and skipping training. The team is imploding and I want out to be honest. The board calls me in and they are not happy that I have looked into other openings. I am warned after the first one and let go after the second one. The press conference is anything but kind as both the board and I have nasty things to say about each other. Next time I need to do more research before accepting a position instead of grabbing the fist thing that comes around. |

A much better situation drops into my lap as Hampton & Richmond have offered me a position. They are also in the Blue Square South but are presently in 3rd and have clinched a playoff spot. With 3 games remaining in the regular season the best they can do is 3rd as Woking have wrapped up the league championship. I will take time to pour over their squad to see what is their best strength and weakness but at first glance I can see the following: They have scored the most goals in the league (something that I like and something that I preach). That have allowed the 6th fewest number of goals (a good sign). They are 3rd in goal differential at +30. Danny Forrest (AM R, ST) is tied for the league lead with 20 goals. Ian Hodges (ST) is tied for 4th with 18 goals. Alan Inns (D, M C) is tied for 5th with 10 assists. Jay Lovett (D, M R) is tied for 8th with 9 assists. Danny Forrest has the 4th best average rating at 7.08. It looks like I am going to have anough tools to begin working with. |

We play host to Woking who have wrapped up the league championship in their first season in the league after being relegated from Blue Square Premier last season.
