Oh, ok. I did the Biggest Loser Upper + Lower Body workouts tonight. Walked probably a half a mile while introducing some people to geocaching. We walked from my in-laws house to the nearest geocache and then around the block.

However, there was just no way to get around eating poorly today. It's a tradition around here that fathers get catered to after church, so I had a cheeseburger and fries. I knew at the time that I would have to take my father-in-law to dinner that night, and his request was Monte Ne Inn, which is a homestyle chicken dinner place. You don't get a menu, that just bring you chicken and vegetables all you can eat. I had one small plate-full, so I really did try.

I think considering the expectations and temptations that I encountered today, I did pretty well. Hopefully it won't hurt the numbers game too badly, but I suspect it will.

Still no soda...but if there was a day for it...today would be it. I'm exhausted!

Day 13: 6/21/2010

Wii Fit Weigh-In: 188.2 lbs.
Meals: LC Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce, 1 slice of bread, 2 bowls of Cheerios, LC Chicken Alfredo
Workout: 3 mile walk, BL Cardio Max Level 1, 2 mile walk.

Notes: Want to step it up a little this week. Going to try to get in at least 2 miles of walking on as many days as possible in addition to the normal working out. I want to take advantage of my free time in the summer and my wife being home for awhile in the mornings to help with our son.

Besides soda, I'm trying to avoid the energy drinks as well. I haven't had an energy drink in over a month now, 5 hour energy being the last one I had. You would have to go back nearly two months for the last energy drink that wasn't 5 hour energy.

Plyometrics kicked my butt last night after I got home. I am presuming that's why I'm so dog tired. Going to take a quick nap, hit the softball field, and come back for workout 3.

This dynasty has quickly become, to me anyhow, "Don't let the Hog weigh less than the Vol."

Vol's weight as of this morning: 176.

Hope you got a great workout in. I got soaked, soaked out in the sun today for two hours of softball. I then came home and did the shoulder and arms p90x and the abripper x afterward.

Day 16: 6/24/2010

Wii Fit Weigh-In: 189.0 lbs.
Meals: 2 bowls of cereal, 2 sandwiches with veggie chips
Workout: BL Power Sculpt, 3 mile walk

Notes: That weigh-in can eat my shorts. It was frustrating enough to see that number that I took a picture of myself and compared it to my before pictures. I can see a big difference. I'm definitely adding some muscle here. Also, my belt tightens about two notches tighter these days. The number isn't telling the whole story, I assure you.

Fatty.

I was back to 174.2 again today. Leg workout yesterday wore me out...followed by a drenching Kenpo today.

Meals: IHOP Ham and Egg Melt, 2 sandwiches
Workout: Walk 1.5 miles
Notes: tried on my size 34 jeans and got into them easily. Had my wife buy me a pair as motivation when I could barely fit in 36s. The weight number is unfortunately very misleading about my progress to this point.

Your edits throw me off! I see last post of 8:34 and think you just havent updated.

I have stretching or an off day today. Think I'll do the stretching...better than nothing. I am a little frustrated that my right knee and left ankle aren't healing all that well. Thinking of taking some joint support supplements to try and alleviate/speed up some recovery there. I sprained my left ankle...not really the ankle but tendons more toward the inside of the ankle two weeks ago and I can feel it any time I shift my weight to that side. My right knee I banged up in two different slides almost two weeks ago during softball. The bruising is gone, but the tenderness/soreness is still very much there.

Great job on the jeans, by the way. I have 32s I can fit in snugly, I'd like to have them as loose on me as the the 34s are now.

Well, I'm not working out every day. Usually 3 of 4. Sometimes 2 of 3, sometimes 4 of 5. Just depends on the day. Timing for dinner was thrown off tonight because wife had a meeting. She brought dinner home and it was getting late already. By the time the food digested, it was wind-down time. A little late to workout and then shower.

We'll get em next time.

Two games of softball tonight against Primelord and the gang. Sweated my butt off. I can only hope I weigh this much in the morning. I'll be happy.

Workout: BL Last Chance Workout. 3.5 miles on treadmill (fast-walk)

Notes: cleaned out my garage today which entails a lot of heavy lifting and activity. I destroyed the last chance workout tonight. Went as hard as I could with all the extra difficulty modifications. Hurt so good.

Had a subway salad today. Not a bad deal for 5 bucks in my opinion...sure beat eating all the bread of a 6" or footlong.

MJ4Coke, have you had your body fat measured? If so, has there been a difference? I'm going to start measuring mine.

No. I'm positive there's a difference though. I look completely different in the before and after photos and I can tell by how many notches I go on my belt, too.

I don't know how to do that.

I just set up my treadmill in the back room with an old tv and a tray for my computer. I am set to burn monster calories.

A couple of ways I know...buy a scale that will give you that as a readout...shouldn't cost more than 30 bucks or so...or buy one of those body measuring tapes and measure your neck, stomach, and....I think leg. The Navy computes body fat that way. The formula they use for that can't be too hard to find. A tape like that can't cost more than a few bucks.

Wii Fit Weigh-In: 187.0 lbs.
Meals: 6 in. cold cut combo, 2 slices of watermelon, LC Chicken Alfredo
Workout: 3 miles on treadmill, BL Boot Camp Level 1, 1.5 miles on treadmill.

Notes: Having the treadmill set up so that I can watch tv, listen to music, watch movies, or even use the computer a little while I walk makes it much easier to get on and walk when I have some spare time. Hulu has been great. Star Trek First Contact and Star Trek Generations are both on there right now. I just start the movie up and hook the computer to the big speakers.

Heck, I even turned the webcam on and streamed myself walking to justin.tv today just because I could. I know it isn't interesting to watch, but why the heck not!

Wii Fit Weigh-In: 185.7 lbs.
Meals: Over ate at CiCi's , LC Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce (yum)
Workout: 4.8 mile fast walk on treadmill (660 calories), BL Last Chance Upper Body Sculpt

Notes: Treadmill addition is really paying off. This is my low point of the dynasty. I enjoyed the weigh-in this morning. Very happy with progress and results so far.

Not too happy with my indulging during lunch. I went extra long on the treadmill as a result. Added the BL Upper Body Sculpt and part of the Lower Body Sculpt but had to cut that a little short because of my son. Still a good day of work, but I'm a bit worried about the damage I did at CiCi's. Hope to get more good news in the morning on my weigh-in. If not, I'm going to brutalize myself tomorrow.

I've been wearing myself out lately. I'm hoping that pizza didn't hurt me too badly. I really feel like the weight is about to melt off of me after building up quite a bit of muscle the past couple of weeks. I know I've gotten smaller, but as I understand it the fat really starts to melt faster after you build up some muscle. I've been working hard enough that I should see some big time results. I mean, 2 lbs. per week is fine, but I know I've been going at it harder than that. We will see.

My main goal is to be down to 175 by the time I go back to school (August 13th).
