Down 13-0 at halftime, we showed no signs of life as our new coordinators scrambled to get this team playing football.

The second half was all Troy, as we outscored Idaho 20-0! Welcome to the team, HB Timm James. James ran for a team high 207 yards on 29 carries, averaged 7.1 ypc, and had a long run of 20 yards. I'm VERY impressed with this kid. I listened to my OC and stayed with QB Kris Scott and I'm glad we did. Scott was 16-32 for 160 yards and 2 INTs. Defense was good, registering 7 sacks, 3 INTs, and 2 forced fumbles. ILB Noah Brinker led the way with 4 tackles, 5 assists, and 1 pass defensed.

Yes, I let my coaches handle that and call the plays. I make depth chart tweaks here and there. Thanks!

Got to say im really not happy with 4-3, at least if csonka stays at MLB...he and brinker are too good compared to our OLBs for csonka to ride the pine...either convert him to OLB or 3-4 it...and i just say you already started season so its prob. moot

Darn it! I knew I should have stuck with the 3-4, but I thought our new DC who excels at the 4-3 could really help our team move in that direction. Sorry for that.

Now I see why Blade wanted to go with the 3-4. We couldn't stop the running game of Boise and couldn't do much in the red zone vs their defense.

I thought we would at least make a game out of this, especially at home.. but we get embarassed, 33-0. Not good heading into conference play.

Funny thing is, we did stop their RB Jon Lewis.. too bad we couldn't stop Ken Beuerlein.

Do you see a discrepancy in what i see at CB?...and at OLB, where csonka still isnt starting over an OLB(prob. english with his poor play, but scrabis is rated lower think)...patton starting over hester at DT???...do you make these calls, as with the ratings i see we have some starters who shouldnt be starting(i can maybe see gug starting with his potentil, but green isnt even on the depth chart

McGrew gained 180 yards and we still lost.. yes I'm dumbfounded. I really wish I could go back in time and change our defense to a 3-4, but I can't so I need to move on. It's not that we're doing horrible with the 4-3, but it doesn't seem like our best tacklers/playmakers are on the field all the time.

Rough start, but I think we can get back in gear. We still don't have much talent and injuries really kill us.

A missed extra point.

We could have tied the game up and took this game into OT, but a missed extra point let us to a 27-23 loss. That, and their kicker tied a personal and team record 51 yard FG.

We played well enough to beat a terrible team. I don't think the board is going to be happy with me or this team's performance.

The second half was all Troy, as we outscored Idaho 20-0! Welcome to the team, HB Timm James. James ran for a team high 207 yards on 29 carries, averaged 7.1 ypc, and had a long run of 20 yards. I'm VERY impressed with this kid. I listened to my OC and stayed with QB Kris Scott and I'm glad we did. Scott was 16-32 for 160 yards and 2 INTs. Defense was good, registering 7 sacks, 3 INTs, and 2 forced fumbles. ILB Noah Brinker led the way with 4 tackles, 5 assists, and 1 pass defensed. I thought we would at least make a game out of this, especially at home.. but we get embarassed, 33-0. Not good heading into conference play. MizzouRah Hall Of Famer Join Date: Sep 2002 Location: Troy, Mo	McGrew gained 180 yards and we still lost.. yes I'm dumbfounded. I really wish I could go back in time and change our defense to a 3-4, but I can't so I need to move on. It's not that we're doing horrible with the 4-3, but it doesn't seem like our best tacklers/playmakers are on the field all the time. Rough start, but I think we can get back in gear. We still don't have much talent and injuries really kill us.

The have no injuries though and are looking at getting their first victory of the year. Key matchup WR Dick Gary Gary has caught 24 of 42 passes thrown his way for 371 yards and 1 touchdown. He's made 3 great catches and has averaged 15.5 yards per catch. Secondary The Trojans defense has held opponents to just 219.7 passing yards per game and ranks No. 36 against the pass nationally. Line: ULM (-5) We have quite a few injures this week, but QB Scott is able to play as well as backup Center Luke Farmer. Our starting RB, C, and CB are all out. MizzouRah Hall Of Famer Join Date: Sep 2002 Location: Troy, Mo	A missed extra point. We could have tied the game up and took this game into OT, but a missed extra point let us to a 27-23 loss. That, and their kicker tied a personal and team record 51 yard FG. We played well enough to beat a terrible team. I don't think the board is going to be happy with me or this team's performance.
