57 minute mark: King gets a yellow card for arguing an offside call.

62 minute mark: Griffiths with another pair of acrobatic saes.

I now see why this team made it this far. The keeper is much better than I gave him credit for..

Today we host Fulham in a meaningless EPL Match. They are in 7th place. Their best striker, David, has 19 goals and seems to be playing very well the last few weeks. He also has 7 assists on the year and he is clearly their most dangerous scorer. After a rough start, Michael Rensing has really turned his season around. The 34 year old keeper has 18 clean sheets in 44 starts. Jiri Mach is 30, but he is having one of his better defensive seasons with a very high interception rate.

We are 4-5 favorites.

42 minute mark: After a very lethargic 40 minutes, Barbosa has a nice dribble up the left sideline.. he centers it back to Parker who is barely in the box.. Parker with a strong curving shot.. upper right corner.. GOAL!!!! 1-0. That is Parker's 5th of the year.

Halftime: 1-0 lead. Only 65,000 fans here today to watch our uninspired effort.

April 20, 2019 -

Tottenham has been relegated from the EPL.

The Wolves have won the EC.

April 22, 2019 -

Sanli Tuncay has been hired by Newcastle to take over as their manager.

Tuncay has 111 caps for Turkey. Newcastle is currently 10th in the EPL.

Boogaart and Schreurs were named to the EPL Team of the Week.

Adriano Trotta injured his calf in training today and will miss several vital matches during the next 2-3 weeks.

Since Schmidt is also injured, this makes for a tough decision for our upcoming Champions League match against Valencia.

April 24, 2019 -

Today we host Valencia in the 1st leg of the Champions League Semi Final. Valencia has a dynamic team with great talent at every position. Strikers Gregory Maury and Romain Dos Santos are a top flight pair. Each has 15 goals and at least 5 assists on the year. Right winger Juan Carlos has 10 goals and 8 assists. Juan, a 28 year old right winger, is fast, strong, and has a world class passing ability and long range shooting ability. Julio is a 26 year old Spanish Midfielder who is very strong, has world class passing, and superb technique. He does everything well except he is slow. Christophe Schmidt, a 25 year old French Centreback, leads a talented group of defenders. Schmidt is strong, fast and doesn't have any glaring weaknesses in his game. The only brightside is Tim Wiese, their star keeper, is out injured! Wiese will probably only miss this leg, but we could use his absence to take a commanding advantage. As a result of Wiese's injury, they are likely going to start Gilles Rodriguez, an unproven 23 year old French keeper. This would only be his 2nd start of the year, but he is talented and he won't automatically fold under the pressure.

We are 5-4 favorites at home.

It's sunny with temperatures in the 50's.

90 minute mark: Ortega dribbles past three defenders with some brilliant moves to get DEEP into the right half of the box.. he draws the keeper over and fires a pass through the traffic to the far left post.. Pinna heads it.. GOAL!!!! 4-1. Ortega is looking brilliant today.

Today we travel to play Crystal Palace in another meaningless EPL Match. However, they are in 16th and are fighting to avoid falling back into the relegation zone.

Crystal Palace's top goal scorer is 28 year old English Striker Tom Day who has 11 goals and 7 assists on the year. Tom doesn't have any great skills, but he is solid in most areas. His best attribute is his constant hustle.

We are 1-3 favorites.

We've been given 4 million dollars for winning hte Champions League Semi Final.

Lazio beat Deportivo 3-0 on aggregate and will play us in the Champions League Final on May 22nd.

May 3, 2019 -

Sanli Tuncay has told the press that he expects his Newcastle squad to beat us soundly. What is he smoking?

I respond, "We will beat them. I'm not concerned at all about their squad."

May 4, 2019 -

Today we play Newcastle in an EPL Match. Newcastle has won their last few games since Tuncay took over. This game is important only because I want to beat Tuncay after his comments. Tuncay has used John Doyle as keeper because Jon Hooper is hurt. Doyle is a subpar keeper who is not up to EPL standards according to my scouts. Their main scoring threat is Ignacio. Ignacio is a 28 year old striker who has brillaint footwork and an excellent shot.

We are 4-6 favorites.

47 minute mark: Schruers with a long cross that misses his target man, but Pinna gets it.. he centers it back to Oswald.. Oswald with a blsitering shot.. upper right corner.. GOAL!!!! 5-0! Another great goal for Oswald. Can he become our 4th man this year with 20 goals?

Pinna, Boogaart, and Oswald were all selected to the EPL Team of the Week.

May 9, 2019 -

Salva has told the media that he is unhappy that he isn't a regular in the first team. He wants to leave the club if I'm not going to play him more regularly.

May 10, 2019 -

Aston Villa boss Bruce Arena has told the media that he is looking forward to beating us tomorrow. I ignore his comments. I'm planning on starting my strikers of the future..

May 11, 2019 -

Today we travel to play Aston Villa in the final EPL Match of the Year. This is meaningless except it will be Flores and Jurgen Meyer's first time playing together as seniors! Jurgen has 27 goals in 34 U18 starts for me. The 17 year old German striker is already highly regarded. He has very good speed and acceleration. He is also agile with good balance. Our scouts believe he already has world class finishing ability, but he needs to work on the mental side of the game. He is just an average passer and only has 4 assists for the U18 team. I think Flores should be able to set him up, but Aston Villa will have a good defense out there. Murilo is a 31 year old Brazilian centreback who has played well for them the last few weeks and has really led their defense. However, he is slow, and Jurgen might be able to take advantage.

We are 4-5 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures in the 50's.

16 minute mark: Oswald pushes Manu.. yellow card for Oswald.

18 minute mark: Blanco with a save of a long range shot.

25 minute mark: Blanco with a pair of acrobatic saves.. he is earning his pay this game.

44 minute mark: Ortega passes to Meyer just outside the box.. the defense knocks it away before he can make a move.

We've been given 21 million dollars for finishing first in the EPL!

This season we've made a profit of 15 million dollars overall.

We have over 139 million dollars in the bank.

I have used hardly any of my 67 million dollar transfer budget.

The board still won't let me up my offer for my AM above 27,500/week. He is going to walk still.

May 14, 2019 -

Valencia won the Spanish First Division Title.

Aston Villa's Christoph Kramer has won the EPL Player's Year of the Award! This is the first time in several years that one of my guys didn't win it. He had 24 goals and 4 assists in 37 starts. How come Adriano with 27 goals and 3 assists in 29 starts wasn't considered? What about Flores with an amazing 21 goals and 17 assists in 24 starts (and 11 relief appearances.) Ok, Flores only had 12 league goals and 6 league assists in 12 starts (and 8 relief appearances.)

Andy Gibson of Cardiff City came in 2nd and Steve Edwards of Leeds came in 3rd.

Arsenal's Villa has won the EPL Player's Young Player of the Year. The 20 year old midfielder had 7 goals and 6 assists in 48 starts.

Mark Walsh of West Brom came in 2nd, and Alfonso Vega of Manchester City came in 3rd.

The EPL Select Team was named:

SC: Stephane Dalmat, Liverpool

S1: Petr Cech, Chelsea
S2: Diego Cardozo, Manchester United

Today we play Lazio in the Champions League Final. Lazio is a talented team that finished 5th in Italian Serie A. They've been hit by a few key injuries. They are missing their leading scorer, Valeri Bojinov (a player I almost acquried when I first came to Manchester United) who is a talented striker. They are also missing their star right winger and their top centerback, Marcos. However, they still have plenty of talent. Vito Crimi is a 31 year old Italian Striker who is starting to slow down, but is still quick enough to beat a defense. He has great passing ability and a good shot. He has 17 goals and 10 assists in 40 starts. Giacomo Santini is a 26 year old Italian Striker who will start tonight. He uses excellent speed and very good ball skills to set up a good shot. He has 12 goals and 1 assist in 22 starts. Marcelo Labarthe is a 34 year old Brazilian midfielder who is compensating for diminishing physical skills with tremendous intangibles that still makes him very effective. Matteo Falconi will start alongside him in the midfield due to an injury to their other midfielder. Left winger Andrea Lazzari is 34 and has lost his speed, but is still an exceptional passer with tremendous knowledge of the game. Espen Johnson has been starting all year for them in goal due to an injury to their previous #1 keeper. Johnsen is 39, but the Norwegian keeper is still very good. However, he is not nearly as good in the air as he used to be.

We are even odd favorites.

Its sunny with temperautres in the 50's.

Injured: Wood, Parker. Rooney is questionable, but will hopefully get on the pitch as a sub.

Salva, Miller, Kompany, Godoy, Barbosa, and Adriano all had 8's.

Everyone else had a 7.

Can we pull off a repeat Quadruple? Only 1 more game to go!

Today we play West Brom in the English FA Cup Final. If we win, we also secure back to back Quadruples! West Brom finished 3rd in the EPL behind the scoring of strikers Michael Perry and Ryan Wallace. Midfielder Mark Wilson and Michael Jakobsen have each pitched in 8 goals as well. The defense is very solid with centrebacks John Yates and Jamie Adams providing very few second chances. Keeper Gary Baker has had the best year of his career stasticially. The 27 year old keeper really doesn't have great abilities, but he plays well beyond his skill level.

We are 4-7 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures in the 60's.

Injured: Parker

I hope to get Rooney on in the 2nd half. I'm not sure if he will retire this year or not..

5 minute mark: Barbosa with a strong attack up the left side.. he crosses it.. the keeper punches it away, but Oswald gets the ball.. shoots from 20 yards out.. upper right corner.. GOAL!!!! 1-0.

21 minute mark: Kompany gets a yellow card for pushing Perry.

32 minute mark: Trotta with a yellow card for tripping Perry.

44 minute mark: Huddlestone gets a yellow card for tripping Flores.. he argues the call.. second yellow card for Huddlestone.

Halftime: 1-0 lead for us. There are almost 90,000 fans here today.

King only had a 5 for form. He gets 5 more minutes before Adriano will be subbed for him if he doesn't improve.

Adriano on for King who is still playing poorly.

68 minute mark: Rooney on for Flores. Flores ends a spectacular first full season. Rooney might be ending his last season..

Wow, two of their players get ejected in the next 10 minutes for dirty hits on my guys.

85 minute mark: Schreurs with a good run up the right sideline.. crosses it to the middle of the box.. Adriano heads it.. upper right corner... GOAL!!!! 3-0.

Game over. 3-0 win. We've won the Quadruple in back to back years! I've never done it before, but now we've done it twice!!!

We outshot them 17-4 (9-1 on target)

We've been given 3.6 million dollars for winning the FA Cup!

We've completed another quadruple! I never thought I'd pull it off again.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and West Brom qualified for next year's Champions League along with ourselves.

An indepth look at statistics tomorrow, but just a few very quick numbers:

In all games, our scoring numbers:

1. Adriano 29 goals in 30 starts (6 relief appearances)

2. King 24 goals in 32 starts (7)

3. Flores 21 goals in 26 starts (11)

4. Oswald 19 goals (quite a few from the midfield position)

5. Rooney 16 goals in 32 starts (4)

6. Pinna 8 goals in 36 starts (2)

7. Heller also had 8 goals in 30 starts (2)

8. Ortega 7 goals in 37 starts (1)

9. Godoy had 7 goals in 33 starts (2)

10. Parker had 6 goals in 31 starts (2)

11. Tamburini had 5 goals in 27 starts (3)

Cardozo and Schreurs each had 3 goals.

Wright had 2 goals despite only 1 start and 19 limited relief appearances.

Rodrigues, Trotta, Salva, Downing, and Cahais each had a goal.

Much more statistical analysis tomorrow (or possibly later tonight.)

A few thoughts about our individual stats:

Barbosa's 13 assists in only 15 starts compared to Pinna's 13 assists in 36 starts shows that Barbosa is still better. However, I'm sure Pinna will continue to improve.

Flores' high pass percentage, 21 goals, and outstanding number of assists with 17 (2nd best on the team) is a very good sign that he will fulfill his potential. I'm really surprised to see how good his stats look in just 26 starts and 11 relief appearances.

Craig King had his best year with career highs in goals and assists.

Ortega's 29 assists was a career high.

Now for an interesting comparision:

Flores was 19 when he started the season.

As mentioned, he had 21 goals and 17 assists this year.

Rooney was in his 3rd year of starting at that age, but his first at Manchester United. He only had 18 goals and 8 assists in 35 starts. So far, Flores is on a path for more career goals and assists. Rooney's highest year for assists when he was 24 was 19 assists. Will Flores break that mark?

Here is a look at Rooney's career numbers and breakdown of seasons:

Other international Roundup:

Alberto Flores had a goal and an assist for Spain in their 3-1 win over Malta.

June 15, 2019 -

Stewart Downing has received a Gold FA Coaching Badge. Downing has also told me that he is not going to any other team on a Bosman deal, and that he would like to remain in Manchester as a coach.

I'm not sure that Downing has what it takes to be a good coach from our discussions, but I'll offer him a job to see if he can get it done.

I've decided to agree to have Mark Hall go to Hull on loan for 3 months.

We've remained at the top of the European Club Rankings.

Tottenham has fired Mick Harford.

Laurent Rodrigues is going to Southampton for 3 months on loan.

June 17, 2019 -

Stewart Downing rejected my coaching offer, and I won't make him another one for more money. I offered him 10k/week which I thought was fair for a new inexperienced coach.

June 19, 2019 -

Arthur Albiston, my faithful keeper coach, has unfortunately decided to retire at the end of the season. I need to clarify if he means tomorrow or in a year from now.

I think Arthur means after this season.

Adriano Pinna had a goal and an assist for Italy in their 4-2 win over South Korea in the Confederations Cup.

Very interesting! Michael Oswald has been picked the Player of the Year by Manchester United Supporters! I'm shocked it wasn't Adriano or Flores.

We've been given 24.5 million dollars for the TV rights of the EPL in the upcoming season.

We will be playing Liverpool on the 4th of August in the English Community Shield.

We will be paying dividends of 36 million dollars to shareholders this year.

I've been given a 71 million dollar Transfer Budget to acquire any new players that I feel the club needs!

This marks the end of another season. I'll start next season's thread soon.
