Spring 1905 Movement
--English allow French to occupy Holland --Italy advances westward towards France, loses Tunis and Naples --Russia occupies Berlin given the fireworks of Fall 1905, this turn went with a whimper, a lot of positioning and setting things up for the fall. Italy appears to be in quite a bit of trouble, as is Germany, of course. Russia, France and Turkey for now have made gains at the expense of England, Italy and Germany. Game map is updated: http://www.angband.org/~radii/dip/fofc/index.html Italy was dislodged from Tunis and may retreat into the Ionian, North Africa, or disband. |

I'll process Italy's retreat whenever I get it, and we have a bit longer between turns for the Fall. Fall 1905 is due next Thursday. WSUCougar is temporarily running Turkey as CastleRock is going out of town for a bit over a week, while another country is out of town through the weekend.

I await final instructions from the Great Pasha before he sails on his brief voyage, but I, his humble servant, am open for business if you wish to speak to Turkey. I already have some thoughts in mind, which I will convey to the respective leaders soon enough.

And by Wednesday, clearly, I mean Friday. Fall 1905 Movement --Turkey becomes full fledged power in the South and East in Europe --English army in Liverpool spends months at sea, lands in Spain --Austria crushed, surrender inevitable --Germans see that the end is near Turkey ends up with gains in Naples, Serbia, and Trieste in 1905. Italy takes a French homeland center in Marsailles, but loses its own foothold in Naples, and also loses Tunis. France gains Tunis and Holland to remain even. Russia gains Berlin. Austria and Germany will both start Spring 1906 with one unit. Game map is updated here: http://www.angband.org/~radii/dip/fofc/f1905m-o.html There is one retreat. Austria can retreat from Trieste to Tyrolia. But if they retreat, they will have to disband a unit, either the one in Tyrolia or Vienna, and they can choose to simply disband the unit now instead of retreating. Upcoming Winter Builds After the retreat: Germany will have to remove one unit Italy will have to remove one unit Russia will earn 1 build Turkey will earn 3 builds England/France stay the same. Retreats are due Monday 3pm but will be processed as soon as received. Builds will be due Tuesday 3pm but again, processed as soon as received following the retreat. |

For those interested here, angband appears to be down and has been down most of the day I think, so people haven't had access to the game map. I've put up a mirror here:
http://fbcb-fofc.com/fofc/index.html and we've extended things to Wednesday. |

Austria: Army Vienna DISBAND
Germany: Army Munich → Tyrolia Italy: Fleet Marseilles → Piedmont Austria has decided to bow out peacefully, while Germany's retreat was made via the "pull a territory out of a hat" method. Game map is updated: http://www.angband.org/~radii/dip/fofc/index.html |

I was pointed to a section of the rulebook that I was not aware of that states "if a player fails to order a retreat when necessary, that unit is disbanded"
Based on that Rule, Germany's army in Munich is disbanded, instead of retreating to Tyrolia. This has been updated on the game map. |

Fall 1906
Holy crap! -- Austria, Germany officially surrender -- England makes landfall... everywhere. France to make last stand in Marsailles -- Turkey takes Tunis, loses Trieste and Serbia -- Russia takes over entire former Austrian Empire, threatens Turkey in Armenia France is down to 1 supply center. Italy 2. This is essentially a 3 man contest now. On that last turn England took 4 French supply centers. While I'm sure they could have taken some in the spring and some in the fall, that was pretty impressive. Game map is updated: http://www.angband.org/~radii/dip/fofc/index.html Turkey has to retreat from Serbia. They may retreat to greece or disband. If they retreat, they will have to remove a unit. After that retreat we will have the following builds: England: Builds 4 units Russia: Builds 4 units France: Removes 3 units Italy: Removes 1 unit Turkey: Removes 1 unit(pending retreat/disband order) |

The Russian winter is pretty harsh. I thought I'd give the troops a break and resume the invasion when it warms up.
