I've been getting into Luck Be A Landlord. It's one of those games that is so simple, yet so addicting. It's a deckbuilder, but instead of cards, you are populating the symbols in a slot machine to try and set up the best combinations. It's early access so I don't know what else is coming, but it already stands on its own.

Much like they did with Victoria 2, Paradox has completely refurbished Imperator: Rome. It doesn't come easily, but if you have the patience to learn the new gameplay, it's much improved over the earlier versions.

Yeah I've seen a recent reverse trend-making board games from computer games rather than the other way around-Stellaris, Stardew Valley, Darkest Dungeon and more

I took a chance on Loop Hero and it's addictive.

It's one of those old style 90's computer games, very little on information but you know there is a depth to it that you have to figure out on your own.

It's an anti-tower defense game, because your warrior runs the loop and you place the "towers" to challenge them. You gamble on how much you can throw at your hero, how much of supplies you can grab to upgrade your base and then there is the diabloequese means of upgrading your weapons and armor...(fancy a fast slasher then boost your attack speed, or perhaps you want a wolverine like regen).

I've barely scraped the surface and just beat the first boss...

I also think it's great because while it's a time waster you don't feel compelled to keep playing, you can stop and you don't lose any progress and you don't lose the narrative. So I can step away and come back without wondering where I was or what I needed to do...which when you are busy with real life is a bonus.

Nookrium showcased a game on his YouTube channel that looks intriguing and wanted to show it here. It's called Realms of Magic and is still in Early Access on Steam (and on sale I think). The game looks and plays a lot like Terraria...with a RPG thrown on the top of it. You play as a one of many familiar fantasy races, and its kinda up to you how to play it. You can treat it like an open world/survival sand box game, or you can treat it like a crafting game, or you can treat it like a traditional RPG, exploiring the world, getting quests, levelling up, etc. I'm curious as to what the gang here thinks about it:

I've played versions in the past. There are almost infinite courses to play so that adds to the replay value.

I didn't see it because the front page wouldn't load for some reason. Started to buy it, figured out the it would still be cheaper to buy the Legendary Edition with all the add-ons at $26 bucks. So I bought that instead. Loved the first edition and just never pulled the trigger on the second. Of course now the third is coming out in August.

I think I may have the original BB somewhere, but not sure I ever played it. Was the Legendary Edition on sale as well?
