Eliminate all letters that have different versions for uppercase and lowercase. If you're going to be cool, you have to be cool all the time.

I was figuring either T or Z.
I went with T because there is just something about it. Mr. T just wouldn't be Mr. T if Mr. T was Mr. O. Z is cool for Zorro's Z, but it loses something when you go to Canada & it's no longer Zee, but Zed. Marvin Gaye's Trouble Man soundtrack also features songs like T Stands for Trouble, Don't Mess With Mr. T & T Plays It Cool. |

I went O. Because a circle never ends. And it looks cool with all different fonts.

Since when does Canada help determine what's cool? Besides, "Zed," as in, rhymes with "dread." Oh yeah. Definitely gotta go with the Z.

K.
With that one letter a tremendous amount of information can be shared, and it's versatility is unsurpassed by any of the lesser letters. This single, unheralded letter can express the sentiment that agreement has been reached. It can explain that the situation has achieved a state of stability and acceptability, bringing relief to others. It can convey values of thousands, or describe temperatures on a scale that actually makes sense. It represents a critical element, whose ions are essential for living cells. Perhaps most importantly, it can make my weight seem much less troubling. Yes, I'm "a-ok" with K. |

W. It's the only polysyllabic letter, and the only letter that's an expansion on another letter ("double-u").

This poll is invalid due the exclusion of ß. Just because English doesn't use it doesn't mean it isn't cool!

Odd, my initial instinct was the current vote leader Q because it has its own rules and defies convention. But then it seemed, I don't know, kind of wussy.
G is a cool letter -- What up, G? But I think Chris O'Donnell has ruined it. |

Q is cool. Q is his own man. And He always keeps his best girl by his side! And he's always got a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. How cool is that!

S is cool because it is a finisher and it is a creator. With S, one can become many. It is like LeBron and Kobe (in his prime) had a letter baby.
Also, S is scrabble gold.

I'm starting a Super-PAC for Q ... needs a bit of a push to take it over the top
(our adverts won't say anything about Q, but will push the fact that X (ex) implies something which is in the past and thus not interesting any more ...) Last edited by Marc Vaughan : 12-09-2012 at 10:29 AM. |
