Yeah, we both had a lot of turnovers up to that point in the game.

No offense on that last TD Cartman, I didn't know whether I should try punch it in or kneel. I knew you were ripe for another screen.

In any case, good game. My D made some plays in this one and I was way more on point offensively. I felt like I mixed it up real good and I wasn't so jittery with the quick throws. Got fooled on that one curl route, thankfully the guy didn't pick me on the terrible decision to throw.

Unfortunately, heybrad has had to step down for lack of time.

If things ever clear up, you're more than welcome to come back. For now, I've just set your team to autopilot.

Spanked Nevada 38-3 in a complete performance. My QB has thrown for 400 yards and 8 scores the past 2 weeks with no picks, and our run game has been steady and stout. Defense has been suffocating. We're going to lose a shit ton of talent this off season, but hopefully a strong finish will give this team a chance at some decent talent in the pre-season recruiting hunt. We also have a pair of Freshman QB prospects who will be studs in the future, so at least we're good there.

What a fun but crazy game.
Idaho came in 1-8 and WSU 8-1.

We spanked them all over the field early, in fact late in the 2nd quarter it was 21-7 and I'd committed 2 turnovers already in the red zone. Faced with a 4th and goal from the 1, I decided to punch it in, get it out of reach and let the back ups play the second half.

They stopped me and promptly scored...no worries 21-14 1.25 to go...lets get another score and a comfy lead....returner drops the KO.

So its 21-21 at the half.

My offense was its normal all world self but my D coudlnt figure these guys out. If it werent for SR Patrick Newby and his record book re-writing season we wuld have likely lost.

We won by 10 but...We were up 3 late when we stopped them inside the redzone...While trying to run out the clock he broke a 50 yarder to the house to ensure the victory.

32 carries 323 yards 4 TDs 42 Yards after contact

We took ECU to overtime, but as usual, fumbles by our QB killed us. This time, the killer came in 2 OT, when he fumbled on our first play after we held them to a field goal.

We beat North Carolina 38-34, scoring the winning TD with 8 seconds left. Would have been a lot easier if I didn't throw a pick 6 in the red zone in the 2nd quarter.

Had what I felt was a highlight worthy play this week, so I figured out how to save it.. Or at least I hope I did. Threw a curl route to my WR Payne, then settled for a second and juked, leaving 2 defenders lunging at air. Then he managed to outrun the rest of the secondary for a 38 yard score. It was pretty awesome feeling.

We ended up just obliterating UTSA 52-24, Nothing we did offensively seemed to not work. After struggling to crack 3 yards a carry for most of the first half, we found some room to run in the second half and things really opened up from there.

And WSU wins the Apple cup.
What a game.

First Junior HB sensation Patrick Newby broke the all time single season rushing yardage record, but it was bitter sweet as he was injured on the record setting play and may be out for the year.

We led 21-0... early and 28-14 at half but the second half was all Washington.
We managed to hang on for a 31-21 win ...but it took a lot to get there.

Came in ranked #6 while Washington was ranked #4...can;t wait to see what the pollsters do with us.

We got out to a 21-0 lead in the first half against Miami and easily finished it out with a 42-14 win in our last regular season game. South Alabama finishes up 9-3, bowl projections going into the week had us matched up with Texas in the Chik Fil A bowl, we'll see if this win bumps us up to something a little better.

We were ranked #16 going into this, with this win, and if we can win whatever bowl matchup we get, we may be able to sneak into the top 10 at the end.

Game complete.

It was an offensive shootout in Tulane were we ended up pulling it on in the 2nd half and dominating the Green Wave.

It was nice having both my starting and 2nd String QB's back.

WSU WIns the MWC Championship.

This game felt very good despite the final score. None of our Offensive go to's were working as ASU loaded the box and dared me to run. Newbie finished wish "just" 160 yards on 30 carries...but none of those were break away runs.

Passing was hit or miss, I had to read the heck out of some zones and thought I did a great job.

Early on they were moving the ball at will on me, but twice threw INTs in the redzone. Then once we got ahead they abandoned the run and my D did what it does best, eat QBs.

My SR DE managed to scoop up a sack/strip and scoot 40 yards for a TD for a DLineman cycle.
1 play - 1T, 1 TFL, 1 Sack, 1 FF, 1 FR, 1 TD.

Looking forward to UTEP taking care of business and hope the pollsters do the right thing.

UTEP rolled Washington. We are 1 and 2 in the BCS rankings and nobody else close beat a ranked team, so I think we will likely match with WSU.

Played my game this morning and it was against Virginia and not ULL.

So, we ended up with the win, but it was a scary ending to the game.

We finally get back our 1st and 2nd string QBs last week. The 1st stringer goes down in 2nd half last week with minor concussion. He ends up going out this week with a minor concussion in the 2nd Qtr. Our 2nd string QB is equal to the 1st stringer so we don't drop off in talent to much, but ended up losing him to injury in the 3rd qtr as well as our starting RB.

So in the 4th qtr the momentum had shifted from us to Virginia and we were without:

1st String QB
2nd String QB
1st String RB
Starting DB

All lost due to injury. They end up sacking us in the end zone for a safety, marched down the field to score and bring the game within 5. We then couldn't generate offense and they march down the field and end up within our 10, and we end up stopping them. On a 4th & GL play from our 8 we end up stopping the quickout on our 2 and sealing the win.

Wow... TCU sent us home with a loss. A tough loss to take, but they beat us and we'll have to take it.

We were down 23-7 before we could really get our shit together, their defense was just brutalizing my offensive line and my attempts at running the ball early were met with a wall of purple hate. By half time we had scratched our way back to make it 26-21. We thought the tide was turning. It sure felt like it was. In the third quarter we took our first lead 28-26 after a pick gave us a quick score on their opening drive of the second half. After that, it was all Horned Frogs on the ground. We could not contain their option attack for anything, no matter what happened, our defender always tackled the wrong guy. We switched things up as much as possible, but they just had our D line outmatched, and our DB's were hopeless in their attempts to make a guy go to the ground as TCU racked up about 250 yards on the ground. They retook the lead 34-28 with a score and 2 point conversion. We answered that with a FG, and I probably blew that 3rd down by calling a screen and failing to get the pass off as I waited a split second too long for a different route to develop across the formation. I had my slot guy running free and was just releasing the ball when they hit me, rendering a sure TD incomplete. I considered going for it, but held off, thinking my D could get a stop. The score at this point was 34-31 TCU. Well, they came out and just shoved it down our throats immediately, making it 41-31 going into the 4th.

This is when the biggest mistake of the game happened for us. We drove down confidently and methodically, running about 3 and a half minutes off the clock. Got down to their 2 yard line and had a decision to make on 4th down. Go for 3 again or say fuck it, give me the glory. We went for it. I threw an out route to a guy who was going to be easily wide open for a TD, but he came back to the ball and got stopped inches away from the end zone. We turned the damn thing over, and it cost us about a minute and change to get it back. When we did, we scored quickly, closing the gap to 3 with about 3 minutes left, 41-38. We had all 3 time outs, all we needed was one more possession. We never saw the ball again. Our guys were tired, they just couldn't keep up any more. Watching it slip away left me feeling helpless.

We were clearly outmatched in this one, and we played our balls off, but it just wasn't to be. However, we're excited for next season. Some exciting young players will be starting, and I can't wait to see what kind of things we can do in a full season with this team. I hope like hell I can finish this recruiting class on a high note though, lots of good Senior talent is heading out.
