IAAUS Title Game

#1 Florida crushes #2 Xavier 74-54.

Florida goes back to back, and is now tied for 2nd place with Michigan State with 3 titles a piece.

Still in 11 years the Big East teams, and Florida and Michigan State have won titles.

Binghamton- Center Richard Nader Rated 227 out of NY however has the potential to be really good in the future. 6 in inside scoring now with A potential, 4 in Defensive rebounding with B potential, and rated 8 in blocks with A potential

Boston University-SG Korey Zimmerman. Rated 209 out of NJ. Has B potentials in Jump shot and inside scoring. B potential in D with A potential in steals.

Maine- PG Chris Camacho- Love this name BTW. Rated 311 overall from MA. Has a 7 jump shot now with A potential and will also be able to handle the ball. B and C potentials there.

New Hampshire- Center Richard Harold. Rated 213 overall out of CT. Was all state CT and CT'S Mr. Basketball. Is rated 8 in inside scoring now and A potential. Has B potential in handles and Defensive rebounding.

UMBC- PG Pedro Jenkins- Rated 135 overall from MD. The only Freshman with Blue potential and is athletic as heck. 10 quickness, 5 strength, 8 jumping and 7 stamina. Also can handle now with 6 rating there and 7 in passing. Handles is B potential, the passing is A potential.

4 out of these 6 made the All Freshman team, as their actually wasnt a 5th person that made the team period.

Nader, Harold, Camacho and Jenkins were the guys that are on the team with Jenkins being the Freshman of the year.

UMBC and first year head coach Tyson Tarter wins America East Coach of the year!

I'd love to be added as a coach and an alter ego as a recruit, if that works for you. What info do you need?

Sweet RPI, we shall get you added ASAP. I'm right at the point in game where its perfect timing.

For A coach I would need the info below and also what you are looking for (I.E. do you want to start off as an assistant at a small school and try to work your way up, an assistant at a big time program, or a head coach at a small school, or unemployed and the CPU will have at ya?)

For a recruit I would need the following info below and then a basic description of what you want. Example: I want to be a guard that is real athletic, has the potential to be great but needs coaching to develop. Average shooter and defender but the potential to be great.

You can make this description as basic or fine tuned as you want.

Recruiting comes in ok again. Im liking the talent that is coming into the conference. More 3 star players than before.

Stony Brook end up with the best class, and who did I just hire there??? Daniel Hansen the guy that providence let go who pulled in 2 top 25 classes in a row. Their dumb move looks good in the America East

Top Freshman to keep an Eye on

Binghamton- SG- Vance Snavely- This 2 star recruit ranked at 668 overall comes in from the NY with a deadly shooting touch. He has a jumpshot thats already rated a 9, with Free throws and 3 pointers rated as 7's. He also has decent handles with a 6 rating.

Boston University- Center larry Hang. Ranked 200 overall this all state Center from MA has decent potential. He has a 5 for inside scoring, 6 for handles, 7 for offensive rebounding, 5 for defensive rebouding and 8 for blocks. Id day this guy has a chance to be a force in the conf for years to come.

New Hampshire- PG-Newton Coles. The only freshman in the conf that comes in with blue potential. The 170th rated overall recruit has some serious ball handling skills. He comes in rated 6's in passing and handling but also has A potential. He also can pick some pockets as he has a 5 in that area and a B potential. Last but not least he can stoke it from downtown with a 7 rating in 3 point shooting.

Stony Brook- PG James Joesph. Depending on how he gets used will determine how good he becomes. He has a 6 in inside scoring, 8 in 3 point shooting, 5's in both handeling and passing and a 6 in "D". I think if he gets moved to SG he might have more chances with the rock

Center- Bo Aleman- Besides Newton Coles from New Hampshire, he might be the guy with the most potential. He has B's in inside scoring, Offensive rebouding and Defensive rebouding, as well as post D. If he develops he will be a beast in this conf.

I still like all of my coaches and we are still a little bit young to do real evaluations yet so on to the head coach round we go.

2 notes

UCONN'S Head Coach Devin Foust retired this sim. Sad sad day.

Pittsburgh's Edward Slade also retired. As you know if you have been following along, I couldnt stand that guy at Nova but he did help shape Pitt back to form.

In case anyone cares former Binghampton Head Coach Allen Travis went 18-13 with UC Santa Barbara and lost in the first round of the 4IT. He also pulled in the 122nd rated class with was 4th in the Big West.

Introducing the newest coach in the IAAUS

K.N. SMITH

Just so you know RPI The AI chose where you landed I didnt. I did have to manupliate the process a bit though, as with your high ratings all the major conferences wanted you bad..... You ended up as one of the highest paid assistants in the game a few times.

3. Oklahoma State Prest 91 have not offered you
4. Baylor Prest 84 have not offered you
5. Michigan State Prest 100 have not offered you

Least more schools came calling this time. This might get interesting. I'm wondering if these schools all came back when they realized that everybody else dropped off except BYU and Texas after the 2nd sim.

I wouldnt mind see Michigan State offer you just to see what you would do since BYU has been all over you from the get go

3. Oklahoma State Prest 91 have not offered you
4. Baylor Prest 84 have not offered you
5. Michigan State Prest 100 have not offered you

Now I'm wondering if you are just waiting for anyone else to offer since you haven't jumped all over BYU yet (the only team to offer you).

Rensselaer Phan update

He started for the West All Stars in the All American High School Game.

He played 19 mins went 4-6 from the field, was 0-2 from the charity stripe, had 3 offensive rebounds (4 total) 4 assists, had 9 points and fouled out.

The West lost by one point 89-88 and I cant help think that if he didn't foul out the game would have been a bit different.

His back up did horrible.......

Ohhh well I'm going to assume when he gets to Minnesota it will all be forgotten about.

I do however wonder what Position he is going to play. Are his ball handling skills so good that he can convert to a 6'9 magic-esque point guard? Or will 2nd year Head Coach (at Minnesota) Curt Wells keep him at the SF spot to give them a great ball handling advantage????

Looking forward to seeing how things pan out up there for him.

Recruiting looks ok. I think some schools missed out this year pretty bad. Maine took a huge whiff and unless those guys are ok in a specific category. I dont know how the heck they are going to recover in a few seasons.

Rensselaer Phan comes in as a total Beast...... All Blues.....

What makes him even more interesting to me is those are not the ratings that I assigned him..... More than a few got upgraded, and then the Stamina was downgraded....

Will be neat to see how he does stats wise though.

Thanks for all the updates! I like that I went to a midwestern school. BYU actually would have been perfect (smaller conference), but Minnesota is a great fit. Very curious to see how things pan out.

I just wished there was more of a recruiting battle for ya. I think now that the coaches have systems they like to run (behind the scences in the game) that it affects recruiting now more than it ever did and you see guys like that who have potential in an area get over looked (even as the #1 recruit) because they wouldnt fit in a system.....

It will be really interesting to see how you do against the prob the best team in the game over the past 5 years Michigan State....

This is my 4th year in the America East and Ill do evaluations of coaches after this season.

There wasnt a whloe lot of coaching movement this year.

Chris Killingsworth who I hired in the Big East retired at Washington State this year

Ray Bowyer who I hired for Louisville also retried this year.

None of my head coaches recieved job offers from any other school

Top Freshman to keep an Eye on

Hartford- in 4 years time this squad will run this conf. I can't believe how well they look like they will gel together. They all compliment each others strenghts. Robert Murphy, Leon Florenz, Vince Mcglyn and Justin Fenske. Remember the names because they will be a huge dissapointment if they dont all pan out together.

Stony Brook- SG-Daniel Tyler. Another blue potential guy. This team has a dymamic backcourt with him and last years prized recruit who is already at green level James Joseph. Tyler is very athletic and can put the ball in the hoop. I expect him to be conf freshman of the year.

I've never really done these before but I'm addicted to this one... It's been really fun. I can't write like most of you guys can but the different story lines you can pull from these dynasties can and are deep if you want them to be.

If you would have told me I would have had 1 team win 23 games, another win 20, and a 3rd win 18 and a 4th win 17 I would have said someone was full of crap. These coaches that are in here are truely making a difference, and I am pretty scared that after this year (most of them are in their 4th year) that they will leave for bigger and better things.
