Halloween costume ideas
I know I'm a grown man, but we're hosting a party this year so I gotta do something. I try to fly under the radar with costumes and was planning on going as that Video Professor guy who sells software. I was just going to get a balding mask, wear a white dress shirt and tie and carry around stupid useless software and bug people to "try my product," "try my drink," "try my appetizer," etc.
My dilemma thus far has been trying to find a normal looking white balding head of hair mask or whatever. I don't really want a whole mask, just the head. All I'm finding is completely bald or some mad scientist looking thing. Anyway, if you guys know of a good spot online let me know. Also, let us know what you plan on being!

Just shave your head and wear a white rabbits' foot on it.

I'm probably going to my first Halloween party ever this year. No idea what I'm going to wear. I'll probably just wear my everyday clothes and go as a jackass.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. Me and the woman are trying to think of cool costume ideas but we're stumped.

Okay, the first thing you need to do is to hang out in places that seniors tend to congregate in. Bingo halls, Waffle Houses, the liniment aisle at Walgreen's, that sort of thing. Strike up a conversation with a man who has the approximate hairstyle you wish to emulate. Once you have gained his trust, use the promise of coupons to the local Furr's cafeteria to convince him to get in your car. Engage the child lock on the door to prevent him from opening said door from the inside. Then drive to a discreetly prepared storage facility, strangle him, cut carefully along the hairline with a sharp scalpel, peel back the scalp, and apply to a bald cap placed on a mannequin head. Bonus points if the mannequin head is dolled up to look like an appropriate celebrity (I'm thinking Patrick Stewart). Then, and this step is important, go over all edges where the scalp meets the bald cap with a damp sponge to remove blood. This can be distracting. Oh, very important: choose a donor with a head approximately your size. Puckers will destroy the illusion. Also, you will have to move immediately following your party. Do not leave a forwarding address - like free breadsticks at the Olive Garden, that's just one of the Postal Service's tricks to "get" you. One last thing: your costume will begin to smell after about seven hours. This is normal; just make sure not to dress before seven and wrap the party up by two. Good Luck! PS: I was thinking of going as Pumpy. Where do you live, anyway? Last edited by Shkspr : 09-29-2009 at 10:59 PM. |

I kid you not, about 8 years ago a friend of mine went as "the guy who screamed 'put him in a body bag Johnny, hahahahaha!'" It was amazing. I went one year as Karate Kid dressed up as the shower like he did in the movie. Sort of a costume inside of a costume. Pretty cool when people knew what it was from. Very sweaty costume though ugh. |

Just wear a ghost costume. From the sounds of it, you'll be the only one at the party not going as Balloon Boy.

I'm thinking about getting the boar mask I saw at the grocery store and wearing it with some black robes and a scythe.
Then when people ask what I am I can say I'm the Boar Reaper and that I bore people to death. Best costume I ever had though was when I was 13 and went as the Mask of Red Death.

My roommate and I are wearing Orange Sherbert and Baby Blue suits with tophats and very ruffly shirts. We're going as Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber.

My girlfriend and I are going as "Smartass and Dumbass" She will have smarties glued to her (fake) ass and I'll have dum-dum's glued to my (fake) ass. Cheap and mildly amusing

My sister threw a party once. She thought it was perfectly fine to invite her ex-boyfriend, the guy she was seeing that she didn't like too much & the guy that lived in the next building that she had a crush on. It didn't go over too well...
I though of this because the guy she had a crush on had the worst costume ever: He made the letter "E" out of cardboard & foil, then hung it from his neck. When you asked what the costume was... "I am E-male." Last edited by M GO BLUE!!! : 10-24-2009 at 02:33 AM. |

My sister and brother-in-law went to a costume party a few years ago. My sister dressed up in a pumpkin costume, and my BIL just wore a nametag that said "Peter-Peter"...

Thoughts?

An easy one is buying a black shirt with black pants and just putting a white collar and going as a Priest.

That costume is a good one because it doubles as a dress for Emo Prom.
