Transfers are weird. I lost Pollard, who was a starting DB for me. I do think it's becasue I broke a promise to him but I forgot what I even promised him.

Usually though kids who have outstanding years go pro.

I got a problem.

I completed my recruiting hours. Then when I was exiting the recruit interface I got the "EA servers unavailable" message. I hit retry and it eventually looked like it uploaded my data. When I hit the main board I still had 10 hours showing. I went back into the recruiting interface and it showed 0 hours. Went back to the main board and it still shows 10.

I exited Dynasty and came back. Both screens show a full 10 hours. I guess it didn't accept my upload. I went through the entire recruiting process again and got the same results. I then exited and deleted the detoxrox dynasty file on my 360 and went back. The game downloaded a fresh file, but I get the same results. I can't get it to accept my completed recruiting upload.

Is there anything I can do?

This happened to Mike and I had to delete him then add him the next sim. We tried everything and that's all that seemed to work.

The CPU would basically use your board, but add a few guys at positions you need guys at. Generally this would only affect your lower guys on the board.

Whew, I got the servers not available error again when completing the cycle. This time when I pulled out the wireless adapter and plugged it in, when I reconnected it took!

It looks like it is best not to do the recruiting when the servers are slow, in order to avoid this scenario.

I NABBED A FOUR STAR!!!

It was a WR. Balanced unfortunately rather than speed, but still - I'll take any 4-star I can get right now.

I started doing my recruiting but ran out of time, I'll finish tonight.

I haven't looked at everyone else's class, but for all my bitching it really has turned out not so bad. No 5-stars and limited 4-stars, but a lot of 3-stars at key positions and with skillsets that I like.

If my xbox survives through all of next season we should be in a pretty good position for recruiting next year.

I'm pretty sure UVA has a top 25 class, 4th in the ACC, definitely heading in the right direction.

Alright, to go along with the in-season 4-star OLB commit Justin NesSmith, we add most of our high priority recruits during week 1:

4* QB Justin Tepper (#9 QB) - With Wheeden declaring early, he may have a shot at the open competition
4* JUCO DT Shawn Cunningham (#11 DT - previous soft commit to Michigan I believe)
4* DE Nick Jasmin (#19 DE)
4* CB John Rogers (#20 CB)
4* OLB Chuck Guillory (#24 OLB)
4* ATH Jermaine Felder (#13 ATH - probable RB)
4* WR Randall Downing (#15 WR) - The A speed should be helpful

3* CB Howard King (#51 CB) committed to us after receiving an offer this week. Let's hope that A+ awareness works out for us.

It was important for me to get these guys locked in, as I'll be out of town this week and probably won't get in anymore stages unless we get seriously moving.

At least as far as the ACC is concerned things evened up quite a bit for week 3...

Virginia Tech and Florida State are 19 and 21.

I agree, and I wasn't trying to complain too much. But, I'm getting my ranking with a bulk of 3*'s at need positions. If you look at the 4* numbers it's a pretty decent difference. I have 1. I think the next human has... 5? 6?

Anyway, I'm fine with it - just shows how big of a gap there is between 16 and like 6 where Logan just got 4 4*'s in one week.

Position Changes

Pretty easy stage. Takes about 2 minutes to do. Files due Sunday at 1 pm est.

Mike is going to hate me. The #2 recruit in the nation this past season, HB John Austin, had me #1, and UNC #2. He insta-signed with me in week 1 when I offered him a scholarship.

He comes into Raleigh as one of the 2 or 3 highest rated freshman I've seen in this game, including my 8 seasons of single player dynasty play. Austin is rated 86 OVR, and shockingly, like returning Heisman winner Brandon Roberts, Austin has a 99 SPD rating. Unlike Roberts, Austin is also rated 98 in ACC, is rated 90 in Elusiveness(roberts was 67).


The rest of our class is a bit disappointing, none of my 3* guys have higher than average ratings and one of my 4* guys is a bit of a dud. But with two stud HB's and the increase to 4* prestige that NC State received this year, we should be able to improve this year and start pulling in more high quality recruits.
