Tomorrow is Spring Training and the Amateur Draft. This is also the only sim to modify your player development budget. Just to clarify on previous discussions, your total available budget can be spent on offering money to free agents, or can be spent on your player development budget. If you offer all of your available budget out to free agents, it will leave you with no additional money for player development, or vice versa. So you have to choose what your focus is this year.

Is anyone else having issues with vesting options? I offered Gilroy one for 200 IP and it doubled to 400. I had another one with 600 PAs and it doubled to 1200. I'm curious if it is something I'm overlooking or a bug in the game.

what's vesting?

Option years that come automatic if certain criteria is met. In OOTP it can be plate appearances, innings pitched, or games finished (saves). Basically a way to pay top money if the player is still performing up to a certain level, but drop him if he no longer is performing well. That is how the NFLs biggest free agent, Nnamdi Asomugha, was released by the Raiders.

Tuesday morning 7am ET is the regular season sim. Spring training usually occurs on Saturday mornings (This week was Sunday due to my schedule issues)

We were 5th seed and lost to the 4th seed by 1 run, so I guess as expected I played well in the field, no errors several plays made including turning one double play (5 - 3) but at the plate I was less spectacular, going 1 for 3 with a double and 1 run scored.
