Anyone remember the discussions regarding Luke Crawford? Those were fun.. he ended up arguably the best shortstop in FOOL history though.

Ya i do. He was a bum!!!!!!!

ha ha no honestly he was a good player, but he wasnt worth whatever money HA was paying him, and ill stand by that for as long as i play

His MVP'S were bogus as the years he won them all the big name guys had horrible years, go figure.

You cant argue with his "D" or legs though. He was stud in those 2 departments.

That was the reason I actually brought it up. I was completely on the other side of the discussion from most people. Based on "Win Shares" Crawford was actually underrated for many seasons simply because he was not a power guy. I feel Home Runs often inflate people's value of plyers at times. I actually felt e was paid pretty close to what he was worth. (How many great hitting, good fielding shortstops are you going to find and how much is that worth compared to yet another power hitting first baseman for instance?)

Was fun to reflect upon though to see how this guy did.. It doesn't matter though since my favorite hitter in FOOL history was also listed here (Rick Inman).. I bet DC still hates the day that he traded him to me for "The King". I totally lucked out in that deal.

Ill have to go back and check who my SS was at that time, but from what i remember he wasnt on the same level, however was around 10-15 points worse AVE wise, and wasnt that far back on the other stuff either besides "D", and he was like 7 mil cheaper.....

Was a fun talk in the middle of fools "dark days"

The inman deal is one of the best ever in fool history. He is also one of my favorite players as well. He did everything for you and won how many titles??? First big deal that had a major impact on the outlook of fool if i remember correctly.
