Cesar Espinoza of Syracuse is hitting well over .400 at the moment. We'll see if it holds up, but wowza.

Next season, we're going to contract down to eight teams. Mostly due to activity and talent flow issues, this seems to be the best way to deal with things going forward. We'll contract Philadelphia, New York, Brooklyn and Kyoto due to lack of activity. In my case, I'll take over Los Angeles more than likely.

I think it'll be good for talent flow to have players with people who are actually playing and while Milwaukee doesn't have an active owner at the moment...that's the only team that'd be left without one under this scenario.

Can we do a recruitment blitz to try to fill those spots?

I think contraction would make all the teams overly talented, which would be bad for the league ..

I've tried. Fast-sim takes a certain kind of person. And I've noticed in recent months for whatever reason, people don't like coming over here to register. I have no idea what the big deal is, but I've lost so many people in the whole "register for the forums" transition that it's not even funny.

As for the talent boost, that's intentional. I think that right now, FA is dead and by having teams being forced to make decisions or having it actually be competitive, we'll have a tighter races rather than thinning talent spread out across bad teams that will never improve. It certainly can't hurt activity, that's for sure.

Funny story. So I simmed to the last day of the season. Brooklyn and Carolina are playing each other in the last game of the season. Brooklyn has a 1 game lead in the standings. A Carolina win would lead to a wild-card tiebreaker game.

I was shocked to see that Brooklyn had done so well, but they're pretty stacked and never put it all together. So I felt bad for you, no doubt. Tight race in the NL this year though.

I've tried to secure an owner for Brooklyn, since they're good and have some talent. I wanted to take over Los Angeles and still might give New York the Vulcans moniker in their absence, but...since no one else gets to swap teams then I'll keep mine too.

Ok, the file is up and we have a new champion! Congrats to all of the playoff teams. Dispersal draft lines are open and we'll sim to the start of FA on Monday and run FA1 on Tuesday. Have a good weekend.

If you tried to access the file recently, you should try it again as the domain needed to be renewed. It should work in the next few hours if it doesn't right now. HT to Jack Raden and Ramz for letting me know.
