Is there any QB can pump fake like Roethlisberger? I've gotten used to watching Drew Brees, who is the master of the tiny little pump--a subtle little move to draw over the safety.

But Ben's hands are so big and strong that he can cock back and unload a pass that looks like it is going to to 75 yards in the air--and not let the ball go. I don't know of any other QB with the physical tools to pull that off--maybe Cam Newton? You need a base level of size and strength that I don't think many QBs have. It's impressive to watch, and it fools me every time.

Side affect of the Patriots loss is that the Texans could be playing subs in the last game of the season against the Colts, making the Colts a near lock for the playoffs.

If Indy beats KC, they are in. Pitt is the 7th seed and two games behind.

So if you're Washington would you deal in the offseason Cousins to try and get a high draft pick in the draft, or hold on to him to provide a competent backup in case Griffin gets hurt again, or more seriously?

It seems that they stand to do much better than the 4th round pick they paid to get Cousins in the first place, and at that they may be able to get significant assets (High draft pick + Solid player) for him given a few qb needy teams and recent trade history. Thoughts?

Just my first blush reaction is they probably ought to keep him. If there was some specific player in the draft they were totally sold on & he was available at just the right moment where a deal could be made then ... maybe. But not any earlier than that, there seems like too much of a chance that they could need Cousins themselves during a season to deal him for "random guy in Round X".

Saw someone mention on Twitter yesterday that Cousins' value right now would be at least a 2nd round pick.

It would help to make up for the bounty they gave up to get RGIII.

Am I missing something? Cousins played one game against the Browns, right?

I would keep him unless I could get two picks in return (2nd and 3rd or 1st and 4th). If the Redskins like his game, he's a cheap backup to RGIII who has a style that may lead to frequent injuries. I'd compare it to the Kevin Kolb trade but Cousins may be more valuable since his contract is going to be so low for so long.

This is the same league where Charlie Whitehurst, AJ Feeley, Matt Cassell and god knows who else have gone for #2 picks.

Matt Flynn says "hi."

I say keep him because you need a backup anyway, and I'm not sure how much I trust RGIII's health long term.

Redskins trade Cousins for Tebow and a #2. Everyone wins there. Skins have 0 fans that clamor for Tebow to start. But he provides a complementary backup to RG3. Cousins challenges Sanchez for the job and probably wins.

Skins getting Garcon back has been huge.

I think the 4 best teams are clearly DEN-NE in the AFC and GB-SF in the NFC and it's interesting because those teams are pretty much locked into the #2 and #3 seeds, which means they'll play each other in the 2nd round of the playoffs. The only question is where will the game be played.

I think NE and DEN would be favored at HOU and GB and SF would be favored at ATL. The other possible wildcard threats were NYG and Pitt and they might not even make the playoffs. Don't see the other teams being able to beat the top 4 teams on the road. I think the 2/3 matchup in both leagues might be the true conference championship game.

Seattle's not a good road team, though. It's likely that even if Seattle beats SF this week that Seattle will be the #5 and have to play 3 straight road games. I just don't see them winning in Atlanta, GB or SF with a rookie QB. Maybe they beat the NFC East Champ in the 1st round but no further.

Any team would be foolish to give up a second round draft pick for Kirk Cousins based on one game against the Browns.

So the good news is that the Bengals will all but lock up a playoff spot with a win against the Steelers. The bad news is, well, the Bengals have to beat the Steelers.

Agree!

Solid defense, solid running game, and a qb that makes few errors and is improving every game out.

Wilson was such a clever draft pick. He did this very same way in leading Wisky to one of them best offenses in college football last year. He just knows how to move the chains without making mistakes.

If I was a QB in the NFL, I would be embarrassed if I took the field with a wristband that had the plays on it.

It's just a translator to plays they've practiced that week. This enables the OC to get a play in by reading just one number - saves a few seconds.

That interception was brutal. I don't know what he thought he saw, but he has definitely regressed this year.

Healthy, not sure. But I don't think he even has his usual inaccurate arm at full use with the injury right now.

This does eliminate New York. Miami could get in at 8-8, but the Jets can not, because Pittsburgh holds the tiebreaker. Since Cincy and Pittsburgh play next week, any 8-8 tie for the second wild-card spot involves both Cincy and Pittsburgh (a tiebreaker Pittsburgh would hold). Miami would get in at 8-8 if it joined them. The AFC playoff picture is about as uncomplicated as I've ever seen with two full weeks remaining.

If Tebow can throw, he's starting next week.

The 2012 NFL season is now complete. The Patriots and Broncos won their divisions, the Eagles and Jets were eliminated and Norv Turner/AJ Smith will be fired. The rest is all gravy.

I was curious and the Seahawks haven't lost a game by more than 7 points all year. I think their defense gives them a shot no matter where.

If Tebow isn't starting next week he should just ask for his release.

I can't believe anything would be worse than Sancheese. I don't know why week in and out, Rex feels that Sanchez gives his team "the best chance to win".
