TCY technical question
So everytime this time of year when I need a college football fix I go into TCY withdrawls because my ole reciept copy was stolen while inside a safebox and I no longer live at my original address, so my CD is virtually worthless since I cant get a serial number. The withdrawl was so bad that i just dug up my old computer that had TCY still on the HD but was in such bad shape I could only use DOS.
My question is this, does anyone know if any file in the TCY directories have my serial number in it so I can just look in the file for it? Since I still have my CD thats all I really need(since it doesn't use the online liscensing of the downloaded version.) If its not something you can pick out of viewing the file, is it in any specific file in my old directories that I can just try to transfer that file over? Thanks in advance for any help. |

I maybe mistaken but I think if you email support-at-solecismic.com that you can get the serial number sent to you. Provided you can provide the proper ownership info.

Why not read the Solecismic FAQ?

I tried once and got no response and even messaged jim once on here too. Which is understandable since they say elsewhere(Edit: on the FAQ I believe) they need to send it to the billing/shipping address which would have been an apartment long ago...(Not to mention I purchased it on another credit card I no longer had!) Bad TCY withdrawls I get, having a CD staring at me and no way to play it.
EDIT: So yea, this is a last plea that maybe my old files can save me. Help me FOFC, you're my only hope! Last edited by Tigercat : 06-11-2005 at 09:20 PM. |

I think if you want to play the game so bad, you should spend the $29.95

I might end up paying another 30 bucks for it eventually. I had always hoped that I could just wait out a new version to come out rather than buy a game twice, especially since I don't any real money to spread around. But that is life sometimes, eh?

You might be better off waiting for the new version, or at least to see what Jim does this year.

I know that in the root directory of the TCY folder, I have a receipt.txt file that lists my license number and such stuff...
Do you that file too?

If a new version of TCY is not on the horizon, I suppose you could wait for this one

I'm willing to bet that's because you have the e-license version. |
