USF-Rutgers aka College Football Week 8

Should be a fun game. Was the Rutgers crowd chanting overrated?

Looking forward to this. Huge. I live in Lakeland, forty minutes outside of Tampa, and Bulls Fever is everywhere. My personal opinion is, USF is prolly NOT the 2nd (or even 5th) best team in the country right now, but to this point they have absolutely earned their spot. (The more talented teams shit the bed, there are and oughta be consequences fer that)

That said, I look for USF by about 7-10 pts tonight, then to run the rest of the table (might have trouble with Cincinatti later on though). Still wouldn't be surprised if tOSU and a 1-loss LSU or Okie play in the BCSNCG.

I want Rutgers to win, but Teel scares me.

I want Rutgers to win because they are my favorite team. I want South Florida to win, because it is good for the Big East.

The Big East is solid and Florida deserves the Number 2.

The key for rutgers is get an early lead so Teel doesn't try and force things

Rutgers has struggled at home this season. USF hasn't been tested on the road yet. Should be a good one.

Yeah, because playing IN AUBURN isn't being tested on the road?

I've seen both play a couple times and I don't think USF matches up well with Rutgers. I mean, if Rutgers turns the ball over a half dozen times like WVU did against USF, I think the Bulls will win...but on average, I just don't think that will happen.

Booo. Why would anyone cover WRs when Lovelace is in. You know he's going to run. Bringing him in on 3rd and goal is silly. It's like the Falcons OC is calling plays in over the phone.

If you are the underdog and you win, that isn't a test, it's an upset. A test is when you are the favorite going into the game.

That drive right there really showed what VPI was talking about in the other thread it seems.. I haven't watched either of these teams much this year, but he seemed to nail it that Rice up the middle could have a lot of success against USF.

Interesting judgement call here.

The advances do look a little shady, but they may be pure judgement calls.

If they rule this correctly it won't - that was pretty damned obvious.. you gotta call ONE of those illegal.

Rutgers needs this overturned.

I think, with their style of offense and Teel at the helm against this defense, they will have a real tough time coming back from 14. USF will pin their ears back and blitz the crap out of Teel and cause some turnovers.
