Penis Transplants for wounded warriors.
I post this mainly to point out an advance in medicine. But it kind of astounds me there's been over 1300 soldiers who receive injuries to this area of the body-never think of that I guess given the more visible wounds. Great work by these doctors.

I know this is a serious subject, but this reminds me of a story from elementary school.
My dad at some point when I was little - I was maybe 7 or 8 - referenced a friend of his, who I believe had served in Vietnam. I think this man was married, but he had been wounded in an explosion from what I understand and lost his genitals. In gym class some time shortly after I heard this, my gym teacher Mr. Wyatt grouped a number of us boys together without the girls and told us that we could write down any questions we had about bodies, sex, or reproduction anonymously on pieces of paper and he would read and answer them ("how is babby formed?"). Didn't matter how vulgar it might be, he would do his best to answer. My question was: "How would a man go to the bathroom if he had his penis blown off, say, in a war?" My question went unread and unanswered.

Some sort of catheter, I'd suspect.

Yeah, seems like a pretty simple answer now. Wondered then why he'd duck the question.
