This will be my worst season ever in FOOL, but...I guess considering that the team was downright awful, I think that it looks better than it could. We're competitive and that's all I can ask for.

I feel good that I got to August 13th with a decent lead. That was going to be the telling point for me. From August 13th until the end of the season I play 22 games at home and only 9 games on the road, which has me very optimistic as my team is a pretty good home team

Valdosta's magic number is 9. They're pretty much a lock to clinch their first CL title since 1967. Meanwhile, the RL race is gonna go down to the wire it seems in a battle of the last three teams to win the RL pennant.

Didn't really think about how young the Quad City rotation was. But two of our guys -- Truman Austin and Dave Hardee are among the top rookies in ERA.

Rob Goodwin of Colorado leads all rookies with 112 strikeouts.

Ivan Garcia had a 23 game hitting streak going this year. The record is 28, set in 1961.

Former Colorado farmhand Austin? Good for him. See, me taking the time to cut players does help other teams.

Garcia's numbers were crazy at the sim stop. He's a solid player, but he's not that good.

I'd like to see Quad City squeak out 70 wins, the team has only done that once in franchise history. Other than that, I can't expect much.

The RL was REALLY competitive this year. I started a lot of kids, on purpose, and while I did go out and get a few players to fill some spots, I didn't go out and get any real pitching other than McBride which blew up in my face. So really, I should've stuck to my gut, saved the money and just ran with youngsters this year, knowing it'd be a rough one regardless.

But that's okay. And I do take solace in knowing that the bottom of the league is just as competitive as the top.

Oh, I don't know McBride. Where was he before? If he's a big ticket guy, I can't fault you going that route (although you may be right, you shoulda gone with the kids).
