I want second, just because it'd be a part of our continual rise in the standings. But you gotta love the storylines of this year.

Well crap. Pretty much locked into 5th place. Kind of expected, but not what was hoped for.

I find it suddenly funny to be "disappointed" to be in third right now. Success even builds up its owner to unrealistic expectations. I hope I can make this a three-team race, though.

Hehe, I'm not too terribly upset. Right now I have the third best record in baseball.. unfortunately the top 2 are in my division as well. I've had a pretty good run, so I'm not going to be greedy

Oh God, seriously. He'd be throwing a shit fit right now. No way I thought my team would get back into the race after the end of July. No way. I'm just enjoying the ride right now, I tell you what.

Wow, 13-6 against Atlanta. You can build the whole season on that. Atlanta plays good against BAL and this one isn't close.

If it wasn't for you I would be the worst human team in the CL this year. Then again you are still a newb so I can't take much joy in that since you haven't had much time to mold your team.

Makes things all the more interesting....

I am curious to see how Baltimore has played as good as they have. Looking at their roster too, it looks like they should be competitive for a while, a lot longer than I will be at least.

I guess I can be happy to know that 3B Warren Lewis, he of the 12 mil contract this year, doesn't want to re-sign and I will actually have cap to spend this offseason.

No prize for third, and not much of one for second. Even though Alan and I are higher than most, we get the same reward if we don't finish in the money: nothing, nada, zip.

ahhh I think Baltimores win window is built for now 1-3 seasons max. His pitchers are pretty old and thats not good.... Makes a hell of a story for this season though

Right now, I'm looking at giving Toronto their worst record in 7 years in my first year as manager. That's a bit of a confidence-killer.

I guess you gotta tear down to build up? .... Or maybe I suck!

I have to cheer on Boston and Atlanta. Boston has never made the FOOL Classic and Atlanta has not since they were in Charleston.

I just realized Boston must play Quad City a whole heck of a lot. I am rooting for a .500 record in those games, while I am trying to beat up on AI run El Paso (7 games) and Hartford (sorry, muns).

Na to be fair, you took over a junker.... Youll be beaming in 2-3 weeks after a few drafts and some offeasons under your belt. You cant go anywhere but up and around here, that can be fast..... Ask DC, took him 3 seasons with a brand new team.

Well that is exactly NOT what I expected to hear. I figured my bullpen would be ok and pitching ok and hitting my problem. Guess I can't wait to see what exactly did happen.

Can't be up too late b/c of work tomorrow but this is pretty cool. Doesn't look good for Compton in August but in their defense I made some changes to the pitching and batting and totally forgot to adjust team strategy, which is kind of funny. No excuses, I doubt it would have made much of a difference anyway. My wife thinks I'm going to love this game.

I'll lurk around for a bit later before checking out for good. I just wanted to say thanks for having me in your league.

Peace.
