Yeah, you're probably right, muns. I actually want Higman to stay in Baltimore. I think that's great. ekcut has worked so hard. It would blow for him to have one player blow it up like that (although that's still a nice $17.5 M hole in your cap you can just offer right back at him--but this time offer more years ).

No excuses, I doubt it would have made much of a difference anyway. My wife thinks I'm going to love this game.

I'll lurk around for a bit later before checking out for good. I just wanted to say thanks for having me in your league.

Peace.

This is the first version of OOTP I have gotten for a couple years now, so I feel a bit like a newb with the game sometimes. This is actually a heck of a way to jump into the game, not sure I can handle slow play now.

Losing to El Paso sucks. Especially with the chance to move within 2.5.

Yeah, I did the math already, and this loss to Brooklyn doesn't help me any. I need to pretty much win a ton to have a shot. I'm already accepting the fact that I'm not going to win this one.. I'm just having fun with it.

Yeah, I am hurt by the two QCY-BOS series, too. But at least I am closer than Alan.

So raise your hand if you had Goodwin as being the other Ranchero starter to get the All Star nod (besides Davis). Anyone? Anyone?

That's what I thought.

BTW, DC, I know you're playing the cool cucumber objective commish here, but feel free to stop the sim briefly to post what you're thinking. Your mind must be flying! Mine is right now. This is crazy.

I can't get my hopes up. I knew my team had the potential to do something like this. But honestly, I'm running with a four man rotation, so...I really have no expectations that I can hang with two teams that are WAY more talented than us. We're just glad to be along for the ride.

It's seriously the most fun season in FOOL history for me and that's saying a lot. I'm just on the edge of my seat like all of you...and finding out the results first isn't exactly fun because obviously I want to see my boys pull off the unthinkable. This team is unlike any of my others. You all know that. St. Louis was full of future stars and Compton was a team largely full of mercenaries.

Quad City? This is a team full of Triple-A castoffs, a few guys who people forgot about and Mac Rasmussen.

Hey Cringer, how about Mockly!

Mockly, Alvarado (just traded), Hawkins (just traded) and Sampson (Ranchero raised) are representing ex-Ranchero All Stars.
