funny thing is, I must have missed the other guys Fairly signed, as I thought he got the SS and Barajas, but he brought in some other quality guys. He should have a much much much improved team this year. In all honesty if he had some OF'S and maybe one more SP he quite possibly could have a shot at being near the top this year in the division. Interesting stuff there. Might make me eat my words

Lucky for him, I have a young stud OF that is on my trade block!

Or he could go get Reyes, who is also on the block, and will probably come cheaper than a young stud OF.

I did a bit of searching and the reason the messages problem happens here, is because of the unorthodox way that we sim days.

Online league email problems - OOTP Developments Forums

I need to figure out how to sync the messages for the number of days we sim so you all never miss a message and that it all gets done accurately.

Delete all of your messages in your manager inbox and I'll try some judo to see if I can't it working right for tonight's file.

So it seemed like his suggestion is to include the report settings to be the total number of days of the other three combined.

So for our case, would that mean if you set 200 days, that should be sufficient correct? It might make the files bigger though, but bigger files is better than broken emails.

Nah, I think the Fools version is HA'S team. I went through rebuild mode for 5 seasons. I didnt have the potential to win it all year after year, however Boston on the other hand.......

If for the next few seasons I cant make a trip to the Fool Classic, id def take that role over though.

And that Harmon thing at the end, was pretty good. Ill give ya that one. That one did hurt

Hartford is Montreal right now. Can develop great talent, that then gets traded away. Has a banner from a time when the playoffs were wacky. Can't ever seem to get into the playoffs. Maybe we'll have a strike this year and end the season prematurely if muns is in first in September.

Highlanders have exported.

I made a poor offer to a FA and wish the game would let you modify an offer while it was still offered.

I feel like this year could be a good one for NY if my pitching over performs. Against righties at home we should be devastating. The youth movement is well afoot, with Waller and Conway joining Robinson in the majors this year.

I can't believe I only got one nibble of interest in my catching tandem of Robinosn and Newman. Are people that set at catcher that they can't use blue contact/blue defense catcher who is 25 years old?

Nah, I did for a few days, but your trade sending a catcher my way lessened my need for a catcher.

I actually tired to get Robinson 2 seasons in a row, and didnt try this year, as I was convinced that he didnt want to deal him. Not like I didnt have the spects to get something done..... So im actually kinda surprised to hear that he was open about trading him this season. Tim Let me know if you would be interested in doing him, im always game to talk

Its pretty quiet here so far in Columbus this offseason, we're still getting over the hangover from last season

I actually thought that this season would be the year, since everyone is on such cap friendly contracts, and I had 12 million to spend without losing any good players. We tried to get another SP to shore up our rotation, so if anyone is looking to deal an SP out there, we've got some cap room to take one on.

Rats, I was hoping that Pagan's dramatically slipping ratings and high asking price would keep people away from him so I could pull a Heath Palmer with him. Ahh well!

Pagan is one of my all time favorites. I hope he plays at a high level for another 10 years. My heart wanted to keep him on my team, but my brain realizes that once a player starts the rating and potential drops in the pattern that he has had occur in the last 18 months, that is is only a matter of time.

I would love to be wrong in this case however.

I imagine he'll carry the memories of being in Rookie ball during last year's playoffs with him fondly.

So Heijnen decided to wait til the last day to decide to take my shorter offer. Glad he took it, hope I wasn't just bidding against myself but I have a feeling I was.

He only played in rookie ball during the regular season. He served as DH in the playoffs last year. So if we had won, he would have gotten a ring!

Can't remember if I've ever been at the bottom of the league in payroll. Or if I have, it's been a long time.

I'm okay with it, though. We'll be spirited and competitive, if nothing else. And always good to see other teams throwing money out into the wind and being competitive.

Should be interesting to see how Higman does his thing in Rio Grande.

I would love to be wrong in this case however.

How much you offer on him. I did 3 mil a sesson for 2 years, and that wasnt enough?

New Orleans paid him 3 years close to $14 million total.

I put in much less. I didn't really have much money left at all to bid on him. I didn't figure there would be much interest in him. I put something like a 5 year 6 mil offer to him, basically with the intent to let him retire with the team, but he wouldn't likely see any more playing time.

I posted in OOTP and tried to work on the problem with email messages. I hope you all deleted your messages like I mentioned. And hopefully, the problem is fixed now. If not, then well...I'll try something else. I posted over there and they told me to put a bunch of days in there and that if someone misses a sim, theirs would still be messed up.

But...we'll keep trying and see if we can't figure it out. The problem owes to the way our league runs and the fact that it runs so fast and that the game "wasn't designed for that" in theory...but hopefully it works now

Wow, I got Higman eh? Another surprise. I had the money and figured I would give it a whirl and would probably be outbid. He isn't a starting pitcher though, which is the only problem with it.

im impressed with fairly. I would have flown off the handle bars by now with what I said, but he clearly is a better man that i am. I honestly think in a few years he is gonna have a real real good shot. Glad he has joined the league.

I like the Higman signing and would have tried for him myself if i had the money to. I am sure he'll help continue your long legacy of screwing up my Septembers!

I got into the Higman game late, but I underestimated the demand for him. In the end, it's better this way anyway. Our cost per win will be low and I'm all for that.

He was just trashing his signing and spraying Hartford Pooners spraypaint on New Orleans stadium.

You know, kicking a good city when it's down.

just kidding
