Toronto seems to be a pain for my team, and I am not just talking about this year. I can remember two previous seasons in the recent past in which we had crap records against them.

Congrats to the playoff teams and good luck in the postseason.

Good luck to everyone going foward. Hopefully NY gets filled before the AI screws it up too bad.

Well must win time for Brooklyn. Any chance we can get an update on how Brooklyn and Atlanta have fared so far this year quick?

Man, can't shake Commo off my ass. And now it's head to head.

Of course, if I can manage to win one--just one--I clinch. I really hope Qian is starting one of these final games.

Wednesday, September 11th, 1985: FOOL News: The All-Star Game Rosters Have Been Announced
Nothing is for certain about the 1985 Front Office Offseason League All-Star Game. It may be dominated by top-notch pitching performances. Or it could turn into a home run derby. Who knows? Pitch by pitch, inning by inning, the game could feature a little of both -- six strikeouts in a row by a nasty southpaw -- or a 3-homer day for some superstar slugger -- plus great catches, thrills, chills and spills --all the great and the unexpected things that can happen in a baseball game.

This year, the Continental League will be represented by these All-Star performers:
SP R. Fritz (RG)
SP W. Steward (BKN)
SP M. Brown (BAL)

You were right. But do you have any idea how freakin' insanely close this was, and what your team did to put yourself in that position? That was almost like the 2007 Rockies.

Congrats on a great season, Commo. I might have one more year on this squad as is, and it's clearly not a shoo-in for jack squat right now. This will shortly be the time of Brooklyn and New York, I fear.

Fritz being an All Star is nice and all, but not the starter I hope to be up there really. Fritz was a nice signing though.

As for the offense, I thought bringing Patterson back would be a decent move, but these last two seasons he has done wonders for my team's offense it seems. Him and Villalobos I guess, both have been All-Stars for two years now and it looks like it has helped Stewart get back on the list as well along with Rigsby.

I was right on with five CL teams (and the ones I named, too) all being likely to win 80 games or more. How about that?

This league is insanely tough. It has me thinking that if I win this year, I am going to break it up in the offseason and start a delayed rebuild.

I never go into an actual full rebuild, of course, but I have been emptying my system way too much to maintain this.

If you all only knew the kinds of decisions I had to make and limits I had to push to squeeze every cent of room out of this team to get back here. We're talking within the hundreds of thousands of dollars of room, and I may need to playoffs to overcome a negative balance.

Thanks! Congrats to you as well. I thought you were going to get me with that 3 game series we had!

I didn't think I had the team for it. I thought we might push for the wild card slot, but I had no idea we had 96 wins in us.

Ugh, I keep getting delayed with work stuff. I can't begin to describe how bleh this week has been. I am packing up the file now to try to upload it soon.

For the playoff teams, don't freak out at your schedule. I haven't moved the schedules yet but will before tommorrow night's sim. It will be the normal 4 days of break between the all star game and the start of the series.

Playoffs tomorrow at 7 p.m. PDT right?

I won't be able to attend unfortunately, as I will be at my night time job. I'll submit my lineups tonight, of course.

Yes, playoffs will be 10pm ET tommorrow (or roughly around that time). As I'll have to find internet access in order to do them, I could be delayed 15-30 minutes, but shouldn't be too long.

You really need to tell your relatives to get internet access. Don't they understand that FOOL needs you? ;- )
