Do we still follow cut rules, or are we free to cut whoever we can afford to?

Answers to our Monday trivia questions!

1) Which FOOL manager in history has the most regular season league titles? (1st place finishes) - Muns with 15 to Chief Rum's 14. I only had 11

2) Which FOOL manager in history has the most playoff apperances? Chief Rum with 23 (now 24 this season), second place was muns at 20.

3) Which FOOl manager in history has the most FOOL championships? muns with 8 (I am second place with 7)

4) Which FOOL manager in history has the most career regular season wins? - Chief Rum with 4337 prior to this season. muns had 4049 as second place

5) Which FOOL manager in history has the most career regular season losses? - Fun trick question as this also was Chief Rum entering this season with 3750 career losses

#6 - The answer to Muns' question was the New York Heroes/bz

#7 - The answer to my extra question, prior to this season TeachEnEspanol is the only manager in FOOL history that had more FOOL Championships (6) than she had 1st place regular season finishes (4)

Does this mean that if I win tomorrow I'll be tied with Alan for second most FOOL championships?!

Don't forget the Republic League where the Long time Colorado manager (Tasan) goes up against Colorado's former manager (Chief Rum) both of whom won 2 of Colorado's previous FOOL Championships as their manager.

That is SO COOL! This makes everything more exciting. And even though Alan hasn't had time recently to keep the championships going, I'm thrilled to be anywhere near him and muns!

Ouch muns. Look on the bright side (I guess): Your pitchers set the record for individual single season starts and losses!

Really, though, this is just Fate's way of dragging out kicking me for another day, since I am the Buffalo Bills of FOOL.

Wow, I didn't realize I was the answer to so many trivia questions.

Man, though, I REALLY need to win one of these things some time.

This makes people who like the game obsessively (me) but suck at it look bad lol. I like the design though.

Nice effort by my team, this team was not manged properly with the finances so I've had to live close to the budget and lose a lot of good guys....Hopefully I'll turn this around soon!

Per league rules, you should have taken advantage of the 20 Million afforded to you for cutting bad contracts. If it's any consolation I think your outfield would win the FOOL Relays.

You also have a player or two primed to be cut!
You've got $22mil sitting in the bank, so if you cut Pittis, Cooke and Riley, you would rid yourself of 3 pricey contracts...without effecting your budget one bit. (Anything over the $65mil salary cap is wasted, and you can only carry over $15mil into the next season...so use it or lose it!)
Each of those players could be easily replaced at a far cheaper rate.

The key thing to remember is you need to do it this sim before the playoffs complete or it will count against next year's budget and not this year's.

Stopping by to check in and say hello to everyone. I see Hector Romero retired from Triple A this year He was my favorite player in FOOL so that makes me a little sad, oh well. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the game, I see there have been lots of changes around here in the short time that I've been gone. I should be back in about three weeks to run Chico back into the ground!

Yeah, Hector Romero decided to get fat on twinkies and beer after you left, and ended up becoming worthless by the age of 33-34. but I knew you liked him so kept him a Rebel to retire there (even in his last season it was at AAA simply because he wasn't even good enough to be a bat boy anymore).

Glad you are doing well! see you when you are back.

Dola, Right now Chico has the #1 rated farm system in the league (according to BNN at least), so maybe when you are back in 3 weeks, you will not have to come back to a mess at least!
