1 game left to play in the regular season!

Colorado will pitch Villa vs Durham for Ann Arbor

Hartford will pitch Thompson vs Zavala of Chico

If Colorado wins, it will tie things up and force a 1 game playoff to determine homefield advantage in the RLCS!

Oh yay, even if we win and they lose, I get a rookie fighting for the league crown for us.

Joe Durham, the long time Ranchero just slapped around his old team in front of the Colorado fans for 9 innings.

Hartford is the 2034 Republic League Regular Season champs!!

Monday, September 25th, 2034: Durham Dominates, Whitewashes Rancheros
It turns out that Ann Arbor's Joe Durham needed little run support to beat Colorado today 9-0 at Ann Arbor Grounds. In a solid outing Durham recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks as he held the Rancheros to 5 hits and shut them out.

Looking at his season stats, Durham has won 16 and lost 13, collecting 172 strikeouts and 65 walks in 265 innings with a 4.89 ERA.

As of opening day, I beleive this to be my finest Edmonton squad. I have a solid lineup from top to bottom. Note that I said "As of opening day"
I have 7 players....KEY players aged 34 and over (one is over 40)...all i need is for one of them to crash and my season is in jeopardy.
Edmonton COULD run away with the division....or age could catch up to us and I don't even want to think about that potential gong show!
I can't wait to see how this season pans out!!

Who ever wrote that in the VI needs his head examined!!

Lol...Wow! I've never been so shocked at the standings before!'

Great job to all the playoff teams! I cant wait to read how it all shakes down tomorrow!

Frank Dawson's 446 Total Bases this year is second all time to Felipe Aguilera's 472 in 1997. In fact those two are the only two players in FOOL history with more than 425 total bases in a season.

Cong Che qualifies now for the career leaderboard for Slugging %. His .563 career slugging is third all time, just .001 behind Juan Carrillo on the list. Felipe Aguilera is the all time leader with a .579 career Slugging %.

Mike Hensley breaks the record for the most games pitched in a career with 1268! He passes Leon Lopez who finished his career with 1245 games.

Finally, the big news of the season.. Juan 'Cutter' Sierra of the New York Heroes sets the all time record for Strikeouts in a career with 4838, passing long time Valdosta Peanut pitcher Carlos Gonzales, who finished with 4799 Strikeouts.

Sierra also becomes the all time Wins leader, passing Billy Smith and Emmett Quero on the list, who both finished with 353 wins in their career. Sierra finishes this season with 365 wins!

WOW Byron Blankenship you have found yourself out of the rotation, and may never be back holy shit....... That will be fixed for the playoffs

Between him and a few regulars having off years, I can see why I didnt come close to where I was expecting to be.

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2034: Dawson Belts 7 Hits
7 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Frank Dawson of the Chico Rebels had a sensational 7-7 game against Hammersmith at Rebels Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 14-6 shellacking of the Hooligans.

In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"

F. Dawson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off S. Krantz in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off K. Ying in the 9th.

Dawson is presently hitting at a .362 pace with 31 home runs and 115 RBIs. He has played in 112 games and scored 96 times.

So wait...they're both named Dawson! Father-son!
