Is anyone watching the game tonight? I don't have cable so I'm just following along online-ish.

Wednesday, July 1st, 2037: June's CL Top Pitcher is Edge Rodgers
The Edmonton Edge owe John Rodgers a lot for his performance this past month. One of the league's most dominant starters in June, Rodgers tore up the opposition with a fine 5-0 mark on his way to the Continental League Pitcher of the Month award.

"When you're pitching this well," analyzed Rodgers, "it's a lot easier to come to the park. I don't judge my performance by the stats, I judge it -- the team judges it -- by the score of the game. I could say I'm tossing electric stuff right now and that would go over big. But if I toss that same stuff -- exact same pitch selection and location -- and they bang me around tomorrow, I was awful. That's the way baseball is."

It was Rodgers who did the banging in June as he tossed up 34 strikeouts in 41 innings, holding opponents to a .182 average and posting a 1.32 ERA.

Rodgers has posted a 9-4 record in 2037 with a 2.82 ERA. Teams are hitting .243 against him and he has rung up 99 strikeouts in 115 innings.

Wednesday, July 1st, 2037: Santana Takes RL's Best Bat Trophy
Though his face is weathered and his hands are calloused, Luis Santana can still get it done in Front Office Offseason League. In fact, the 35-year-old first baseman for Ann Arbor was named the Republic League Batter of the Month today after putting up an impressive performance at the plate.

In June he batted .356 with 11 home runs, 41 RBIs and 21 runs scored.

To date, Santana has collected 88 hits for a .300 average. He has posted 20 home runs, scored 50 runs and driven in 71 runs.

Wednesday, July 1st, 2037: Moore Nabs RL Monthly Rookie Award
Robbie Moore sure isn't playing like the rookie he is. The 26-year-old right fielder for Hartford is rapping the ball like a seasoned veteran in the Republic League and today he took home the Rookie of the Month Award for his effort.

Moore is hitting .284 this year with 6 home runs, 31 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 327 at-bats, 18 walks and a .325 on-base percentage. Moore has played in 79 games.

Yeah, but I feel like I know what I am going to get from most of those guys. If I am having a bunch of career years (outside of Betancourt), that just means it all comes crashing down next year.

I know what a talented staff looks like, and this is not one of them. It's decent, but that's about it.

Mitchell, please (along with his POW rating)

And Shui and Miranda's CON & POW ratings, please.

I am expecting both to be worthless by season's end.

This is stressful. I'm going back to having only prospects and money. Life was much simpler then.

Trust me, it gets boring. It's more fun being in the mix. Just try not to keep finishing in third all the time.

I am expecting both to be worthless by season's end.

Miranda: .256, 8 HR, 29 RBI, OPS = .867 (51 CON / 77 POW)

Not sure who Mitchell is!

Go figure. Both Shui and Miranda have (so far) maintained their primary ratings.

Both exhibited signs in the past offseason of imminent decline.
