This happened on I-81 towards Carlisle, PA. The reason behind the situation was road rage. A car had cut off an 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler rammed the car on the highway, which, somehow, became locked up with the 18-wheeler. It then drove down I-81 towards Chambersburg at a very high speed (if I recall, the report said 80-90 MPH) for about ten miles.
This was during a time when there was a lot of tension and problems on that stretch of highway. The result was a lowered speed limit in the region. |

So what the hell did the woman driving the car tell the police when they showed up? “Oh, just a bit of a fender bender, nothing to get all worked up about.” Got to love those Brits, stiff upper lip and all that.

Depends if I was reading a book or playing a game on my laptop or not at the time it happened. The laptop screen blocks part of the road when sitting on the steering wheel. Actually I don't see how a car could get into that position without the "lorry" driver not noticing. Between an initial impact, change of force against the movement of the truck, and the change in exterior cab sound, anyone not really f'd up somehow would notice it. Or....they just wanted to pretend they didn't notice which would be the way to go because what "lorry" driver doesn't want to do that to a four-wheeler 20 times a day?
