Just took a brutal loss. 2 unit bet on the first half over in the gonzaga game. They scored 3 points the last 4 minutes to stay under by 1.5. Horrible beat.

A couple of rough ones today. Had SMU -2 and they lead by 24 point lead with 14 minutes left and lost. Also had Georgetown +3 and it was tied with short clock off. Xavier hit three with 4 seconds left and then didn’t foul and let them shoot the three which missed. Ended up 1-5-1 on college basketball so far today.

On the other hand, won on a small bet on the Golf. Bet about a unit total across 4 golfers and the +1200 won.

Curious when you made this bet.

As soon as I saw Aldridge was out I pounded the Pacers. The announcement came pretty late.

Good call on Portland. I had the over in that game. The magic just aren't the defensive team they were but are still being priced like that are. Them and Utah. Been getting overs a lot with them.

This is a good site for NBA injuries. It is geared towards DFS, but certainly is helpful for betting as one player can make a huge difference and these announcements come really late. I rarely bet an NBA game 10 minutes before tip.

According to Rotowire late Sunday evening, Aldridge was doubtful to play. So him being out was already priced in to the number.

Quote:
SHOULDER
March 1, 2020
Aldridge (shoulder) is considered doubtful for Monday's game against Indiana, Evan Closky of KENS 5 in San Antonio reports.
ANALYSIS
Aldridge has already missed the last two games with a sore right shoulder, and it appears he's headed toward a third consecutive absence. Jakob Poeltl (knee) started in his place Saturday night against Orlando, but Poeltl was diagnosed with a sprained MCL on Sunday, so the Spurs will likely have to go with Trey Lyles at center.

Trust me from years of nba DFS you can’t trust those reports. Also I typed that just after I woke up. Looks like a 5 year old wrote that one.

Rotowire is solid. Been using them for years. They do a nice job. And whether you trust the site or not Aldridge was listed as doubtful all day from numerous sources. So it had no relevance on the line movement near game time. I would almost suggest that you get more up to date sources if you are going to be betting on these games.

I'm just trying to give you another source. The one I linked literally updates every minute. I just want to be sure a guy is out 100% before laying a bet.

Appreciate it! I do like the layout of that site. I didnt mean to come off as condescending. I actually pay for the Rotowire site. It didnt copy/paste like it actually looks. It was my only source that was timestamped.

What I have been looking for this year that I could find in the past was the Spring Training pitching lineup for each team. I used to be able to find it on covers.com. It would list 4-5 pitchers that were expected to pitch for each team. You have any sources that has that?

I don't. My guess is you need to follow the beat writers for each team on Twitter.

Been on a brutal run of bad beats. Lost about 4 unders the past couple days because of OT.

Live to a few big tickets today.

Got Hampton to win the Big South at 30-1. They play Winthrop in the title game today as 13 point dogs so no hedging.

Got Tyrrell Hatton at 60-1 to win the Palmer. Currently 2 stroke lead. I can hedge a bit if I want to and take Rory a +200 or Leishman at +500, both 2 strokes back and hope no one storms from behind.

Got Wofford in their semi finals at 50-1. The play the 6 seed Chattanooga so I wont hedge yet. Hoping for a Western Carolina upset of ETSU.

Got Bradley at 6-1 also in their finals today against the 7 seed Valpo.

Still live with Illinois Chicago at 22-1 in the semis with all the top seeds still alive.

Even if a couple come in will be in great shape.

Seeing Washington at 80-1 to win the PAC 12. That is amazing value. They have played much better lately.

That's no small time get.

Want to ask again, need a small bit of help from any of our FOFC members that's outside the US. Please message me and I will discuss. Really need to get this done before March Madness.

Conf CBB tourney futures:
ACC:
Duke +210

A10:
Richmond +1000
SLU +2800

AAC:
UConn +1800

SEC:
Mississippi St. +1200

Big East:
Creighton +400

Pac 12:
Stanford +1900

Big Ten:
Minnesota +4500

A10, Richmond is fairly likely to come out of the bottom half of the draw and play the top half winner.

In the top half, SLU is the only A10 team that had Dayton on the ropes this year, SLU was up double digits in the 2nd half before UD sent the game to OT in SLU, and UD hit a 3 with under 1 second left to win the game by 2.

Was going to add Washington as they were something like +8000 to open, but that's already dropped to +3000. Unless you really like them otherwise. I think they are definitely getting hot at the right time, but +3000 implies like a 3% chance to win the Pac 12 tournament which is too high according to Kenpom among others.

Anyone looking to bet futures just keep in mind a rolling parlay may pay more.

I just took Washington at 80-1 to win the PAC 12 tournament. Also have UCLA at 22-1, they are around 7-1 now.

Currently live to Ill Chicago at 22-1 in the horizon and the big one Wofford at 50-1 in their final tonight against juggernaut ETSU.

Thinking of hitting Michigan St at +350

I’ve been giving some thought on the impact of nearly empty arenas on home field/court advantage. It will be interesting to see what, if any adjustments are made by the bookmakers.

Not even golf now. I can't handicap horses.

Snooker appears to be f'in full steam ahead.

Live sports on Bovada consist of soccer and hockey from Russia / Middle East, Snooker, Table Tennis, Volleyball, and Cricket.

I can bet on cricket, but really only national cricket. I don't know anything about this Pakistan Super League.

So I guess I'm taking a break from this too.

Don't forget the Belarus Hockey League and Iceland basketball! I think Keflavik has a good chance to cover the 9.5 against Thor Porlakshofn later today...

I've considered that, it would be funny. There are people on the reddit sportsbook sub who seem to be literally on suicide watch.

I'm vastly more bummed about Dayton missing out on a chance at the NCAA tournament than the end of sports betting for a few weeks, but that's just me.

For me, it’s mainly a slow grind with NHL, MLB, college football and basketball (I don’t bet on the NFL or NBA). The hiatus is a bit disappointing, but insignificant compared to the crisis at hand.

Looks like there are futures bets on when leagues will resume. Bovada has after April 17th for most for ridiculous odds like -850. But June 1 seems to be the target date for most of the betting. Would have to say before.

Going to be a lot of people jones'ing for a bet. Maybe cold turkey is what they'll need to face their demon.

Best case for the NBA appears to be mid to late June. I think it's going to be later than that, if at all.

Owners, execs bracing for mid-to-late June as best-case scenario for NBA's return, sources say
