Another Hattrick Dynasty

Midway through the season hollywood mogul Superman 54 has decided to buy a soccer team. The soccer team which is not worth much and looks like there going nowhere needs a refreshing presence in the clubhouse.

Press Conference:
Q: Why did you buy this team?
" I really like soccer and this team was really cheap I'm not cheap I'm frugal. But the whole point of buying this team and not another team was to make the fans happy and to make them proud to be a fan of this team."

Q: What is the name of this team?
"The Shaw_Shanksters"

Q: What will make you different from the previous two owners?
" Its my will to win and my willingness to take risks. "

Q: Another problem with this team is the poor shape of the staduim and lack of all star tallent What will you do about this?
" Over time I will bring in better players but first we need money that means support from the fans. Winning and fan support is the key to the future if this team wants to go any where. This conference is over I'm a little bit tired I must start running this team in the right direction.

Preston Harris will be the coach a 35 year old coach with honesty and a pleasent guy. Has poor experience and weak leadership abilities. I will give him a chance to coach this team until the next season starts then I will see if it is worth getting rid of him.

This team has currently played 8 games. They are in last. They have the worst offense and the worst defense in the league. The team spirit has not been broken but their confidence is shattered. The team has scored 1 goal for the season in a 1-6 blowout.

So here I go trying to tame the lion. Fellow Hattrick players feel free to post any helpful tips I will need them.

I'm sure you have done this already, but if you haven't, I would definatly bump your youth squad to 20k a week.

And get a passable goalie.

The best advice I can give you though is to read through the rules on the site, read DataKing's hattrick dynasty, and then maybe look over this following site:

HattrickX- Files. really helped me out a lot

Thanks for the tips guys this team has a long way to go.

Week 9-First game as owner/GM

Shaw_Shanksters #8 @ Stockbridge Panthers FC #5

Its a rainy day at Stockbridge Panthers FC Arena only 5995 people show up for the match.

The first half was a disastor that ended 3-0. The Panthers dominated with a 59 percent possesion advantage. This team needs a lot of help.

The second half was not as bad as the first half scoring wise they only scored one more goal. But they had a 61 percent ball possesion advantage. The only good thing about this game is the (hopefully) rising star Armando Sinico who was the best rated player out of our team.

Next game versus Umartu #6

This is looking like the only game we have a chance of winning in the next few weeks. After Umartu we face the #1, 2, 3 team in the league and it looks like embarrising times are ahead of this team.

If you put up your player's stats, we might be able to help you set up a good formation and training regimen.

He means the player's skills. Like:

Chumpy Jabroni
19 000 US$, 19 years, inadequate form
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities

Stamina: disastrous Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: inadequate
Winger: wretched Defending: passable
Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: wretched

Although, I'm sure there's a less verbose way. This is on the player's page.

I'm looking at putting Roosevelt McIntosh up as well. The passable keeper really earned his keep...but to get even with the better teams I'm facing, I'll have to get a solid keeper.

Anselm will get you a 2 star rating every game, not great, but a good start. He has done pretty well for us though as he hasn't lost a league match for the team since he has been here. The only real reason I'm getting rid of him is that I want to upgradee to a soid keeper. Thing is though, Man U Wannabes is doing the same, and we're even bidding against each other.

Here are our most recent league scores, Man U Wannabes is the top team, so don't worry about his performace against him.

2/10/2003 (League): Man U Wannabes - NE Oklahoma Sidekicks 3 - 3
1/20/2003 (League): NE Oklahoma Sidekicks - Man U Wannabes 2 - 2
1/13/2003 (League): NE Oklahoma Sidekicks - Stalkers 5 - 0

There are quite a few friendlies he has played in as well, usually giving up 2-3 goals, though sometimes less, never more. Just check out my team page for more info.

And like I've said, if he can break out of his form slump, he could be a good one for you.

Well, I've already done this twice the past couple of days so I would be remiss to not include those links since I'll repeat the info over and over or refer to them.
http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/for...&threadid=5350
http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/for...&threadid=5356

GK: Workman - he's old and inadquate: one of the first positions due an upgrade. Unfortunately, a young passable goalie will cost you $100K so start saving the pennies.
WB: Hannon - Passable winger but only weak defender. Upgrade him pretty quick.
DEF: Denson- Servicable. Good thing he can defend because he can't do anything else worth a lick.
DEF:
WB: Pritchard - Same as Hannon. Barely servicable, upgrade both.
WNG: Spencer - The man was born to wing. Well, I'm not sure what that means but a solid winger with weak scoring and passing has himself a job. He's 27 but he still has a couple of good years left.
MID: Sinico - He's bitchin'! Great periphery stats and your stud set pieces guy. Not only that but passable leadership. Team captain material.
MID: Gunter - Another middie stud. Play him defensively if they have a nice midfield to take advantage of his great defense. Good leader, too.
WNG: Yanez - A pretty good set of complimentary skills (all weaks) and a second solid winger. Not half bad.
FO: Rains - Weak passing could be better but a passable scorer is more than adequate.
FO:

BENCH
Conn - He should not be employed long.
Prescott - Good set pieces but he can't get on the field if he can't play anywhere else.
George - Um... he can pass.
Richey - I'm sure he's had a nice career but it's over now. Buh-bye.
Sequeiro - Ditto
Crane - Backup. Old. Fire.

Hmm... well, you have good middies and that saves you a lot of cash. Try to look young for all of your guys- limit your transfer wire searches to under 30K so you don't overspend and under 21-ish so you don't get anyone too old. Fortunately you have some cash to play with but a goalie will cut into that. A passable goalie should run you slightly less than 100K. Anything more, wait for another one. You need an upgrade at both wingbacks quick. Weak/Passable won't cut it- you need at least Pass/Inad or Inad/Pass. Also, look for someone, anyone with passable defense and possibly decent playmaking and/or passing but those aren't necessary. Lastly, you need a forward with at least Pass/Inad for scoring/passing. Again, be patient on the waiver wire or you will find yourself in debt quick. Then start getting trainees. But a lot of that stuff can be found in the other threads. Also, if you want to go 3-5-2, you'll need one less defender and one more middie but that will cost more. However, you team will be better off doing that in the long run.

Umartu #6 @ Shaw_Shanksters #8

Just a note before I give you the game. Throughout the season my team has scored one goal the whole season just think about that and also we have no wins or ties.

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Freemen Park saw a crowd turnout of 5402.

Shaw_Shanksters had chosen a strategic incomprehensible 2-5-3 formation. They fielded: Mcintosh - George, Denson - Sinico, Richey, Gunter, Conn, Yanez - Prescott, Crain, Spencer.

Umartu had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Rowe - Sharp, Grissom, Hatch, Arnold - Fernandes, Hurt, Smith, Gaffney - Frank, Sollis.

Umartu took the lead after 6 minutes with 0 - 1. Martin Arnold placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.In the 24:th minute, Shaw_Shanksters´s Lewis Spencer made a rush down the left, leaving him free to put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. A questionable penalty in the 35:th minute gave the home side the lead 2 - 1. The visitors goaltender didn´t stand a chance as Derrick Prescott knocked the ball home. Visitors Richard Smith was alert on a play coming in from the left, making the score a tie at 2 - 2 in the 35:th minute. Derrick Prescott gave his Shaw_Shanksters the lead with 3 - 2, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post.

We had a possesion rate of 63 percent. Derrick Prescott who is my third foward really has done a great job attacking. So far so good I would like to see some more defense from this team.

After 62 minutes Leroy George put Shaw_Shanksters ahead 4 - 2 as he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. The home sides Derrick Prescott twisted a free kick home in the 70:th minute, putting Shaw_Shanksters ahead 5 - 2.
At that, Derrick Prescott was noted down for a hat trick.

This was a real good cofidence booster for our team. We scored 5 goals WOW. Maybe it was the 2-5-3 I dunno. I will probaly be switching to a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 for future matches. The only bad thing about this game is that Lewis Spencer got booked for a foul.

I have a question for the vetran Hattrick players. What does it mean if the Team Spirit is rated as FURIOUS is that good or bad?

Team Spirit: furious
Confidence: decent

FINAL SCORE:

Umartu 2 - Shaw_Shanksters 5

Also another thing that I would like to know is what are the Press Releases for. I get the player ratings up tommorrow.

Furius team spirit is bad. The fastest way to raise it is by Playing It Cool for a match.

Press Releases are just a little extra thing your team can do if you pay for Supporter. There's no strategic reason to add one, it's just for flavor.

Playing a wild formation like 2-5-3 is usually a bad idea, as there's a chance that you're team will lose training for the week. I'd avoid doing it in the future.

2-5-3 is safe. One of the few tactically sound 'nonstandard' choices out there, actually. The only downside is the confusion that may happen during the game. You won't lose training though.

The rule of thumb is, you lose training if you have more than 3 players at any one position. IE 4 midfielders, wingbacks, wingers, etc, etc, etc.

I will probaly be switching to a more traditional formation like the 3-4-3. I really would like to keep three fowards and add another guy for defense in the backfield. As for confusion my team had a little but it worked out fine. I will be using the 3-4-3 against the Blade Bombers. I also switch a few players in the line up. Probaly give my new keeper a break and start Terrell Workman at the keeper spot.

The reasons we won this game was because Umartu played very sloppy. They really played sloppy on defense. We had three free kicks that ended up in two goals. Even though it does not show in the player rating Derrick Prescott was the MVP for this team.

Here are Umartu's ratings from the match:
Midfield: wretched
Right Side Defence: poor
Central Defence: weak
Left Side Defence: weak
Right Side Attack: poor
Central Attack: inadequate
Left Side Attack: weak

Here are the league's standings:

Series: V.83 (8456)

Country: USA
Level: 5 out of 5

Team Played /Goals/ Points
1. Johor FC 10 /34 - 3 /26

2. SpiderZone 10/ 42 - 7 /25

6. Umartu 10 /16 - 43/ 9
7. Proletarian Dictato 10 /9 - 32/ 6
8. Shaw_Shanksters 10 /6 - 45/ 3

Notes from around the league:

Johor FC faced off against SpiderZone to end up in a 1-1 tie. A real big defensive struggle. Both teams have amazing defenses and they both have a chance to move up to the next level.

Proletarian Dictato - DevilQuakes 4 - 0
Rochester United - Stockbridge Panthers 6 - 1
Shaw_Shanksters - Umartu 5 - 2
SpiderZone - Johor FC 1 - 1

Next up we face Johor FC.

I have a question for the vetran Hattrick players out there. If your supporters are delirious is that good or bad?

Supporter Club: 530 members
Supporters: delirious

So until Wendsday when we face the blade bombers see you all later.

Delirious is good for supporters and sponsor attitudes.

Check out the following URL. It has a lot of useful information, as well as denominations so you know what is better than what.

Friendly Shaw_Shanksters @ Blade Bombers

Shaw_Shanksters started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Workman - Denson, George, Gunter - Sinico, Crain, Richey, Spencer - Prescott, Yanez, Rains.

Things started off bad in this gaem when Collin Crain went down with a knee injury looks like he will only miss one game. The good thing about this game is that we scored the first goal and only goal for the rest of the game. Steve Rains put the ball in net at the 21st minute. From then on it was all down hill for the Shaw_Shanksters. We gave up five unaswered goals to lose 5-1. Joshua Gijsberts for the Blade Bombers had a hattrick against us. Terrell Workman was a huge dissapointment for us at keeper. I can tell you that he will not be starting any time soon.

Midfield: disastrous
Right Side Defence: inadequate
Central Defence: inadequate
Left Side Defence: poor
Right Side Attack: poor
Central Attack: solid
Left Side Attack: inadequate

Defense:
Herbert Denson **
Leroy George **
Jon Gunter **

Midfield:
Frederick Richey *~
Armando Sinico **
Major Conn **
Lewis Spencer *~

Fowards:
Freddie Yanez *~
Steve Rains *~
Derrick Prescott *~

A very poor game for us. Hopefully we do not get to embarresed at Johor FC.

They have another guy named Del Pio. I think that is his name he scored the Blade bombers other two goals. But I did not start my best goalie but I don't think that would have made much of a difference since they got so many shots on goal. A very well played game by the bombers I congradulate them and wish them luck when they are not facing us.

SKYNEWS

Female Anchor: Today one of our field reporters caught up with the coach of the Shaw_Shanksters Preston Harris for an interview.

Field Reporter: Coach Harris how does it feel to be working for an owner that has a commitment to winning?

Preston Harris: It feels good the last few owners really did not know what they were doing. The only good move the last owner did was hire me.

F.R.: How much job security do you think you have here with the Shaw_Shanksters?

PH: Well he has promised me that he will let me coach this for the rest of the season and then see If I am worth keeping. I know I will coach the reat of this season beyond that I have no idea.

F.R.: You played a brilliant game against Umartu to win your first match of the year. Then you go to face the Blade Bombers and you recieve a proper drilling. This team really lacks any good form when it comes to defense how will you fix that?

PH: We just have to play through it. We will also have to train hard on our off days.

F.R.: You have one the toughest schedules coming up in the next three weeks. How will you get your team through this?

PH: We just have to play hard. We dont have the talent that they have but I really have a commitment to defense when we face Johor and Spiderzone on the road. Defense that what wil keep us from being embarresed and maybe pull an upset or two.

F.R.: Playing for an owner that is really commited to winning is a double edge sword. He will bring in good talent and he will spend money but if you do not produce as a player or as a coach you are going to be sacked. When you faced Umartu you used unconventual tactics by using the 2-5-3. Some have said that you do not know what you are doing with such a young and unexperinced team.

PH: I am only trying to do my best. Using those tactics helped us win but I promise I will not be using them much in the furure. The critics can shove it they are not coaching this team and do not know what it is like.

F.R.: Thank you for the interview and good luck in the future Coach Harris. Back to the studio.

Shaw_Shanksters #8 @ Johor FC #1

I really did not think that my tam would do much in this game. Johor has let less than 10 goals scored this season. They probaly will be going to Division IV for the upcoming season. I was just hoping we could hang in there maybe score a goal. Would we score a goal?

16826 spectators had found their way to Johor FC Arena, despite the heavy rain.

Shaw_Shanksters started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Lineup: Mcintosh - Gunter, Denson, George - Sinico, Richey, Conn, Spencer - Prescott, Yanez, Rains.

Johor had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Khan - Dickinson, Balaji, Sosa - Ferrell, Sugden, Dickinson, Adie, Johnson - Lipa, Hills.

Johors Homer Hills gave, after 20 minutes, the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Johor put themselves up 2 - 0 when Adam Johnson broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Johor held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.

The first half was very ugly but not as bad as I thought it would be maybe they would let up in the second half and get a little lazy and we could score a goal.

speedy charge from the left side of the field put Johor lead up with 3 - 0. Jurek Lipa finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. In the 56:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Jurek Lipa dashed through, knocking home 4 - 0 for Johor. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Johor´s Homer Hills putting the lead up to 5 - 0. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Johor, with an impressive 73 percent possession of the ball.

Man that is bad. A horrible second half the key stat to the second half was Johor's 73 percent possesion rate. Next week we are going all out against SpiderZone. They just have to much talent and we were simply out classed.

The most dominating Shaw_Shanksters player was without a doubt Roosevelt Mcintosh. Frederick Richey was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.

I will get the player ratings from the game posted up tommorrow.

There were no good ratings from this game all around it was a very bad game for us. This team has a long way to go. McIntosh by far is the best player on this team and he has only played two games. Armando Sinico is to streaky and might not live up to the hype. I do not how long I we be able to keep this team, but I do know one thing. I have laid a solid ground for this team to build on. Who ever is lucky enough to take over this team next will have a good group of of young talented players to build from and a nice stadium. But hey you might never know maybe I will keep this team for a long team but I doubt it. We will be in the red in the upcoming 2 weeks.

I have a question for the vetran Hattrick players out there. When you play a road game that is a league match do you get money from the game for the ticket sales? Because when we faced Johor they had 16000 people show up but we did not see one cent. When we played the Blade Bombers I made a few hundred dollars from the game and that was on the road.

For friendlies, you split money. However, for league games you keep all home monies and they keep all road monies.

Shaw_Shanksters #8 @ SpiderZone #2

Coming into this game I was not expecting much. After the game I was really exited for the future of this franchise. SpiderZone just fell short of qualifing for division IV but is still a really good team. A high powered offense with a stingy defense. We were very out classed talent wise coming into this game.

Due to an all-day shower, 12529 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at The Web.

SpiderZone had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Majors - Weeks, Friend, Welsh - Mieres, Cagle, Andersson, Gatlin, Robertson - Lang, Dalton.

Shaw_Shanksters had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Mcintosh - Sinico, Quigley, Denson - George, Crain, Gunter, Yanez - Prescott, Spencer, Rains.

First Half:
The 4:th minute saw the home team take a 1 - 0 lead after a leak in the visitors right side defense. Scorer for SpiderZone was Tory Cagle. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put SpiderZone lead up with 2 - 0. Henry Robertson finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. Man, what a shot by Derrick Prescott! Firing from 35 yards he didn't give the enemy goalie a chance and it was 2 - 1. Tory Cagle increased SpiderZones lead to 3 - 1 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. In the 31st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Tony Lang dashed through, knocking home 4 - 1 for SpiderZone.

In the first half we did not play much defense at all. We did score a goal on a defense that has let less than 10 goals this season. We still have not mastered the 3-4-3 formation as we had lots of confusion throughout this game.

Second Half:
Nothing much happened in the second half. SpiderZone got booked for a lot of fouls and even a Red card. Collin Crain tweaked his knee again and had to come off in the 75th minute. The most exciting thing that happened in the second half was this: Tony Lang should probably have put his team up another goal in the 87:th minute, but some great goaltending by Roosevelt Mcintosh kept the visitors in the game. Nothing special but McItosh continues to be the best player on this team.

In both halfs SpiderZone had a 68 percent ball possesion rating. Roosevelt McIntosh was the highest rated player for my squad. We showed improvement facing one of the better squads in division V.

White Sox Pride @ Shaw_Shanksters

I started Kenneth Beck my lastest youth pull as my third forward to see how he would do in a game. White Sox Pride is owned by Aesyrqwe a fellow FOFC member.

A scorching day at Freemen Park, where 378 spectators were in place for today´s match. Shaw_Shanksters tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Mcintosh - George, Quigley, Denson - Sinico, Richey, Gunter, Spencer - Prescott, Rains, Beck.

First Half:
Pride scored the first goal 14 minutes into the game. After that the game got really booring just a lot of penalties and sloppy play. Just before the half Herbert Denson evened the game for us 1-1. We had a 62 percent possesion percentage, but could not do much as we really played sloppy in the first half.

Second Half:
This half started off very poorly for both teams as there were was some very aggresive play that got out of hand. Not until the 82 minute did anything important happen. First Shawn Stapleton scored a goal to put White Sox Pride up 2-1. Later in that same minute Steve Rains knocked in a goal to make it 2 all. In the final 5 minutes this game really got out of hand as White Sox Pride's keeper Pedro da Silva Júnior went down after a very aggresive challenge from Bryan Quigley. After that Pride fell apart. Denson and Rains each had another goal to make it 4-2 in favor of me. We had a 82 percent possesion rating in the second half.

Our MVP of the game was Roosevelt McIntosh. Overall a very hard played and sometimes out of control game. One of the Pride players was tossed out after he got 2 yellow cards. The Prides keeper was injured and one of my forwards Fred Richey also got injured. I can smell a rivalry in the making. We already have a rematch scheduled.

Rochester #3 @ Shaw_Shanksters #8

It was a special day at Freeman Park for the last home game of the year for the Shaw_Shanksters. It was Armando Sinico poster day. The first 5,000 fans get a free Sinico poster. We also celebrated the signing of our new sponser Krispy Kreme doughnuts, by giving away a free Krispey Kreme to all fans in attendance every time we score a goal. The people were excited for the first time in a while to come and see the Shaw Shanksters play.

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 7658 at Freeman Park today.

Shaw_Shanksters had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Mcintosh - Denson, Quigley, Gunter, George - Spencer, Valverde, Sinico - Prescott, Rains, Beck.

Rochester tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.

1st Half
Shaw_Shanksters's Armando Sinico scored 1 - 0 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net. Some brilliant football from the visitors right wing resulted in a 9:th minute levelling of scores as Rochesters Tim Helm equalised to 1 - 1. Rochester had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 27:th minute when Ali Bautista came up alone against Roosevelt Mcintosh who managed a block. Shaw_Shanksters had obvious problems in finding their positions. Rochester took the lead after 37 minutes with 1 - 2. Tim Helm placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Roosevelt Mcintosh kept the home side in the game with a magnificient save, as Theodore Jorgensen delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far cross bar.

Rochester, bringing the final ball possession rate to 71 percent, dominated the battle. All together it was a good first half as we were still very much in the game plus the fans got a free doughnut. They still dominated possesion of the ball. Helm is the top goal scorer in the league, so we could only hope to limit Helm to at least one goal. I was very pleased with the first half.

2nd Half
The visitors Theodore Jorgensen took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 59:th minute. 1 - 3 for Rochester. Derrick Prescott of Shaw_Shanksters received a yellow card in the 67:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The away team´s Theodore Jorgensen took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 80:th minute increasing Rochester´s lead to 1 - 4.

Rochester held the ball, with a clear 63 percent possession rate. The second half was very bad defensively for us as we could hold the ball, but not set up for scores. Theodore Jorgensen is the second leading goal scorer in my league. I was just waiting for him to breakout and start dominating this game. Helm and Jorgensen make the best foward combo in the league to bad Rochester lacks a good defense otherwise they would have been a dicision IV team. Together Helm and Jorgensen have scored 33 goals on the season. Another good game for us as we improve every game. I fully expect to win next week.

MVP of the game- Lewis Spencer

FINAL SCORE 1-4 LOSS

Shaw_Shanksters #8 @ Proletarian Dictators #5

I was able to get my orders in before the game started. But, that did not help any in this very ugly game. I fully expected to put a good challenge to the Dictators. They really have no superstars but are a very good scoring team. They just lack a solid defense maybe next year they can improve.

First Half

Shaw_Shanksters had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Mcintosh - George, Quigley, Denson - Prescott, Sinico, Gunter, Spencer - Yanez, Rains, Beck.

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 11890 to Proletarian Dictators Arena.

The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 in the 2nd by a breakthrough from Geoffrey Davis, who unaided came in out of the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors keeper. The referee showed Shaw_Shanksterss Jon Gunter the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Shaw_Shanksters will have to do without Derrick Prescott for a time due to a bad foot injury. He was substituted by Major Conn. Colt Neff increased Proletarians lead to 2 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. The referee showed Shaw_Shanksterss Bryan Quigley the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Mariano Chicote increased Proletarians lead to 3 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Proletarian lead up with 4 - 0. Colt Neff finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle.

The teams went for a half-time break at 4 - 0. Proletarian held the ball, with a clear 66 percent possession rate.

This is the ugliest half of soccer I have seen since I started this game. I was very dissapointed as expected to at least to make this game a close one. I knew one thing there was no way this game could get worse, right?

Second Half

A bit later Shaw_Shanksters´s Major Conn easily reduced to 4 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home sides central defense line. Shaw_Shanksters fought on and, in the 62nd minute Kenneth Beck was able to reply with 4 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side finished off by an incredibly clever chip. In the 62nd minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Francesco Bernardelli dashed through, knocking home 5 - 2 for Proletarian. What ever got into Major Conn, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through the own defense - ending up right in front of Proletarian´s Elliott Busch, who easily put the ball away for 6-2. Herbert Denson got left behind when Proletarian´s Julius Boyd made a sudden pull forward in the 78:th minute, finishing off with a swift strike. 7-2!

Proletarian, bringing the final ball possession rate to 73 percent, dominated the battle. The most dominating Shaw_Shanksters player was without a doubt Jon Gunter. However, Bryan Quigley made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 2.

The second half was a little better. The bright spot in the second half was Kenneth Beck scoring the bright young star scores his first league goal. Derrick Prescott who was injured in the first half will be out for a while with a bum foot at least 7 games.

After the game Shaw Shanksters' owner Superman 54 was reported shouting in the club house and was quoted as saying "Changes will be made soon!"

Latest News

Coach Preston Harris was fired from the Shaw Shanksters. Owner/GM Superman 54 said the last straw was last weeks 7-2 loss. Superman 54 said " There is no excuse giving up seven scores in one game, so I think it is time Coach Harris step down. I lived up to my promise of letting him coach the remainder of the season, but I have seen enough it is time to make a change."

The Shaw Shanksters quickly found a new coach. Jimmie Killian has more of a prefrence toward defense. Coach Killian has decided to switch to a 4-5-1 formation and hopes to re-teach the basics of defense and passing. Coach Killian got to test out his new philosphies in a friendly against White Sox Pride.

The Shaw Shanksters defense dominated the game and also dominated possesion of the ball. Lewis Spencer scored the only goal in the game in the Shaw Shankster win. The small crowd was happy as they went home with a free Krispy Kreme doughnut. The Shanksters averaged an 83 percent possesion rate through both halfs. It was a good game for the coach and it really brought up the confidence of the players. Most players were happy with the change.

The season comes to an end. We have a long way to go to get to the top of division 5. Overall it was a very ugly campaign in my first season. I hope to improve and hopefully Coach Killian is the right guy to be the coach.

I promise next season will be a better season than this one. You can find the next season here.
